I had Escobar Diamonds design a ring for me from a 1911 $2.5 Dollar gold coin. The design and craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. They made a mold out of wax and showed me exactly what the setting would look like. I was a little unsure of some of the design details like 14k Vs 18k but I trusted them and it turned out amazing. I heard great things about this company from other people. I went over with a pair of south sea pearls, a spessartite garnet, a fantasy cut tourmaline, and fantasy cut aquamarine. Upon entering the double locked door, I was greeted by a professional-looking sales person. He gave me a cup of great-tasting coffee. Maia came over and we looked over the stones. I had a pair of earring jackets that would work beautifully with the south sea pearls. We set up a work order with the drilling and the screwback earrings. When I picked it up, I was pleasantly surprised by the solid workmanship. I've had flimsy earrings, but these were certainly enough to secure long earrings in my ears. Next, we worked on the 33 carat fantasy cut aqua, having eliminated the other stones. Since it was an awkward shape, we looked for a way to hang down as a pendant without it looking awkward. I picked a nice round bail with diamonds and a sparkly chain. The stone was drilled to accommodate a jump ring. Again, after I picked it up, I really enjoyed the workmanship. The pendant laid nicely on my chest as it needed to be. I will come again to work with Maia, since I collect too many stones that get hidden in a safe. They need to be displayed! Matt was the best guide throughout the engagement ring shopping process. I could not have done it without his guidance and advice. So my partner had two pieces of jewelry that we needed fixed and the folks at Joe Escobars Diamonds went above and beyond for us. I was welcomed and assisted as soon as I was buzzed in and offered a refreshment. The gentleman that helped me, I unfortunately did not got his name, but he asked me how they could be of service and I mentioned that I had two very precious family heirlooms that needed to be fixed. One was a 14K gold chain with a missing clasp closure and the other was a 14K gold bamboo style ring that had snapped near the name plate. I asked about pricing for a new clasp and fixing the ring, the gentleman simply took the ring to the back to ask if they could fix it then and there. Then he brought out 3 different types of clasps closures (he taught me they are called lobster clasps) for me to choose which fit best with the chain and then took it to the back to ask how long they would need to attach the new clasp closure. Came out about 20-25 minutes later with both the chain and the ring fixed! I noticed the chain was wet so they also cleaned it and I didn't notice until I handed my partner the ring - they had polished and cleaned it as well! When it came time to check out the gentleman only charged me for the new clasp closure and gifted fixing the ring for being a first time guest. He also informed me that they make everything in house and have vintage/2nd hand jewelry for sale as well. They do free cleaning even if you didn't get the piece of jewelry from there. read more

When my husband asked my parents for their hand in marriage, they gave him two of my great grandmother's diamond rings to put into my engagement ring... They acted as if my ring had my great grandmother's diamonds in it and even gave me an extra bag with diamonds in it saying not all her diamonds fit into the design of my ring.... I got the ring appraised recently and even by them before knowing the issue, all three places, including them, said that the diamonds in my ring were newly cut diamond.... AKA THEY STOLE MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER'S diamonds!!! I confronted the owner demanding an explanation all to be verbally and physically assaulted and I had to contact the police. He took the rings outside and placed on the cement outside. To be called a B I T C H and have him slam the tray into my stomach after my husband spent THOUSANDS of dollars to still create the ring is absolutely demonic, disgusting and deplorable. The location is very secure with lots of cameras surrounding the property as well as having to press a button for the employees to unlock the door for you. I have a platinum band with pavé around half of the band, the middle stone being set as a solitaire. It cost me $245 and they tightened the middle stone as well as cleaned the diamond (they did not specify this but I could tell).
