Marcy answers the phone like she's running a roadside diner where everyone's a regular. Bill at the desk has that calm, "I've seen every rattle this side of Amarillo" energy. They're honest, friendly, and so fast I barely had time to admire the décor or wonder why I suddenly wanted a slice of pie and a souvenir license plate with my name on it. Progressive Auto & Tire: Where your car gets fixed, your stress evaporates, and the waiting room makes you feel like you're about to star in a road‑trip movie with a surprisingly wholesome soundtrack.

I had a very disappointing experience with Progressive Automotive and Tire Shop…read more I brought my car in for an ABS sensor issue and was charged $720 for what ended up being an oil filter housing gasket replacement. Considering the gasket itself costs around $30, the final bill felt extremely overpriced, especially since I was never given a clear breakdown that justified the cost. What concerns me even more is that I was told this repair was related to fixing my ABS sensor problem. After scanning the vehicle, I don't understand how an oil filter housing gasket would reasonably be diagnosed as the cause of an ABS warning issue. The repair did not fix the ABS problem at all. I was upfront that my main request was to have the work completed within 24 hours. I was informed there would be a $100 rush fee, which I accepted. However, I'm still left wondering where the remaining $620 in charges came from and why the pricing was so high for the work performed. I understand that labor and diagnostics cost money, but customers deserve transparent explanations, accurate diagnoses, and fair pricing. Unfortunately, I did not feel that was the case here. Based on my experience, I would recommend that anyone considering this shop ask for a detailed estimate and explanation of the diagnosis before approving repairs.

I'm normally very cautious when it comes to mechanics and service stations because of past bad experiences just like everyone else has had. It was close and convenient so I thought I'd just give it a try. No, I hadn't looked on yelp prior to going up there. In short, I've had three experiences with KAZ Automotive since we've been living here. Every single one of them nothing but good and well done at a reasonable price. KAZ Automotive is where we will get ALL our car maintenance done and buy tires. (By the way, also snagged a $60.00 rebate from Goodyear Tires which I wasn't expecting. However, if you get one and do it online make REAL sure that you have the ability to download a PDF copy of your RECEIPT AND INVOICE and have the ability to attach it to the online form. Just a heads up, nothing bad about KAZ though, it's all about the online form.) I'm a somewhat older guy with genuine disabilities, mobility issues and limited resources. I have no qualms about taking any of our family vehicles there and they have earned my trust and now consider them "our garage" and I WILL recommend them to others! You do good works folks! Thank You.

After about a week of driving, we were going down 95 and heard a loud thud, then the power steering just died. We managed to limp home, but once we parked and checked it out, we saw the belt had come off and there was a major coolant leak. This was never was an issue before, especially since we've taken this car to two different shops in the last year. Including one where it passed VA state inspection. None of those shops complained about any cooling system issue. When we towed it back, they told us it needed a radiator and thermostat and pretty much wanted another $600 on top of the $1,600 we already spent. They wouldn't even cover the tow. They just put the belt back on and had us tow it to another shop to actually fix the leak. The car is still not drivable. We understand things happen and we are not idiots when it comes to vehicle care, but it is incredibly frustrating when a shop tries to avoid accountability. Honestly, just avoid this place like the plague. There are better shops who have trust worthy mechanics in the Stafford area.
