First time coming here this morning. I of course waited til the last minute to get my state inspection done so i expected to be waiting for a while and even when i got there 10 minutes til 8 and already saw a line i was not hopeful about not spending all morning there. I love the small town feel walking in though all the customers were saying good morning to each other and the staff came in and spoke to everyone and each time they walked past. The check in process with Dallas was quick and easy and he was very friendly and helpful to everyone that came in and on the phone. I was only there for a little bit over and hour when there was at least 5 people in front of me. I paid and left. Now while i hope i never have to return for nothing outside of inspections and typical maintenance i will definitely keep coming back to them. Thanks again guys! read more

I have been taking my vehicle to Rose's for years and have always been happy with their service until today. I was quoted one price charged $200 more when I went to pick up my vehicle. After expressing my upset with their misleading statements, Eric, practically the face of the establishment, got snippy with me and started mocking me under his breath which further fueled my upset. I will not be going back after how they 1 treated me and 2 misinformed me to an extreme. I am honestly in shock that this is how they would handle such a situation. Absolutely absurd. read more

I received absolutely stellar service from this shop this morning. It was time for my state inspection, and I figured, if availability existed, I'd get an oil change as well. I was surprised to discover there weren't many state inspection facilities in my area. This was one, and probably the best reviewed. I can see why. They took my car in immediately upon arrival. For just over $60 bucks and certainly not over 40 minutes, I had a full synthetic oil change, a complete inspection, and my tires filled (which was apparent because my air pressure indicator light had been on prior to this shop's maintenance). My last oil change at another shop cost more, and was worth less. A couple of issues that aren't worth digression. These guys are honest, quick, and offer tremendously valuable service. Luckily, Rose Auto is in my local area, and I'll consider it my go-to shop all future car car needs. read more

I've had work done here before, but not any more. I went in for a scheduled oil change and a check engine light. I knew what the code was and asked them for a quote. When I showed up to get my truck, the first thing I noticed was that they put the wrong oil in the car, even though my service record with them said 5w30 Synthetic they put 5w20 and said there's no difference and annotated it in the receipt. Not off to a good start. Then they charged me for a diagnosis ($100) when I told them what to check (O2 sensor, P0420), but they tried to up sell me on 2 new catalytic converters and two new sensors (over $1600 parts/labor). When I asked why they put a different oil in everyone disappeared (Gus wasn't working, Dallas was working up front) and couldn't explain why the notes I left about the engine code wasn't noticed. Went there for a couple years but no more. Last time I went there they left a large piece 3 ft long of my van in the back of my van. When I stopped at the grocery store and opened back to put food in I saw a large car part in rear of van. I went back to them and carried this piece in the guy at desk just said oops and took it to back of garage. A mechanic came out to parking lot to get van and put piece back. No sorry or explanation at all. The time before that I asked them if they could do complete tune up on my van and asked them if they had done one before as I wasn't sure. They looked at my computer records and said they didn't do one. I paid over 200 for it. Later when my husband came back from out of town he said they had done one 7 months earlier. He pulled the printed invoice and took it there and they refused to refund for it. It was a 100, 000 mile major tune up that shouldn't have been done again. My father took my vehicle here back in October to have my drivers side window repaired. The window would pop of the tracks, sometimes not even going all the way and other times, going all the way back up but being popped off the track so air came in from the top left corner. The shop charged over $150 prior to this to see what internal problem was effecting the window. While my car was in this time, they also put new wipers on my car for $15 each plus a $130 diagnostic fee. So already, it's clear that the shop was taking advantage of my older father, who was recommended this shop and had used it prior. After paying around $250 for the work on the window, when i got my car back the next day, it immediately got stuck and would not go all the way back up the first time i rolled it down. My father took the car back to the shop, was told a new motor needed to be put in the door to power the window, and that would fix the problem. And it did for about five weeks or so. But when my window stopped rolling all the way up and was still popping off track in the upper left corner, the shop refused to talk about refunding the work even though i continued to have the same issue with the car with the excuse that the owner had recently passed away. When i personally called to see what excuses they had for denying a refund, i was told because they no longer make my make of vehicle, the window could not be repaired because the track inside the door was bent causing the window to pop off the tracks. So exactly my initial complaint. However, the mechanic i spoke to tried to make me believe that the moter that was replaced and the bent track were entirely seperate issues. More so, despite my car literally only having new wipers $700 later and the window never being functional, the shop assured me i still have to pay for the labor that was done on my vehicle (despite no actual product being measured) and i had to pay for the motor that was placed in my door, even though that clearly was not the issue. I am a student and disability studies teacher living on a very tight budget and was only able to save up for these "repairs" through student loans. I am now out over $700 for a multitude of labor and parts that were not only entirely unnecessary but only to have my car be in the exact same position it was in before it went to this shop. This loss of income is devastating. Stay away from these people at all costs. they should be ashamed of their lack of integrity​ read more

This is the only place I will take my vehicle except when my Focus needs warranty work from Ford (which seems to be all too often). Rose Auto Clinic is the most honest auto mechanics I have dealt with around this area. Since moving here in 2012, we have tried a few. I've had about three unnecessary repairs from other shops around town but never at Rose. The staff are great. They are honest, quick and very good. I have never had an issue in the five years we have been going there. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. read more

I have been a client since 1992. I can't imagine I will ever find a more honest group of individuals. I am always pleased with the results. The last time I took my truck to their shop to have a light bulb changed, they called to tell me how much it would cost just for the labor to get to the bulb. I decided the cost was too great and told them not to do the work. The next morning I needed to defrost the rear window, and wouldn't you know it, the bulb was working! Miracle? I think not, and don't expect your experience to be the same, but I was very happy. Now with the light fixed I can tell if the button I'm pushing is turning on the A/C or the rear window defroster as I head to work every morning. At the very least, I owe them a box doughnuts from Paul's Bakery down the street! Thanks guys! read more

My parents (both now deceased) started bringing their cars here in 1989, shortly after they moved here from Alexandria. When I moved back here from San Diego in '98, I began to bring my car here also. Everyone who works here: from Ronnie (the previous owner), & Eric) to Dallas (my new favorite mechanic) has always been professional & fair. Recently, I needed desperately to have my brakes repaired. I'd previously had my brakes flushed; & Dallas called me to let me know that he was pretty sure my brakes were "covered" by a warranty thru that companyrecc. Sure enough, he cleared it w/ the manufacturer & reduced a $449 repair bill to $180!! I cannot recommend this repair shop highly enough to impart how excellent they are on a daily basis! read more
