    BLT

This location has delicious sandwiches. The Italian is my favorite. The photo is the BLT, photos doesn't do it justice. The sandwich is thick and filling! Check them out.

Paid $12 for a BLT and the bacon way was way undercooked if not raw. Couldn't even eat more than a couple bites of the sandwich, but did not want to go back in and argue with the staff, who was kind of rude, and wait another 10 minutes to get a replacement sandwich.

At first glance I was excited to see this taco salad. Then I looked closely and thought it was strange to see cauliflower, broccoli, cucumber, carrots and huge chunks of tomatoes. There may have been only a cup of meat in there with TONS of lettuce. Meat was kinda tasty. Yes it's a salad, but taco salad is taco ingredients only. It came with hardened corn tortillas, wasn't too bad and sour cream and salsa. Didn't bother with the salsa. Not worth $18.

Solid breakfast and lunch spot for folks who work and live around the Kent valley. It's located off 212th right near Arby's and BBQ Pete's. It's pretty popular amongst construction workers who need a quick bite to eat. Pac Hwy has a lot of development going on with the light rail (Kent/Des Moines & Star Lake Stations) so it's bringing a lot of new people into the Kent area (workers and residents alike) which is helping a lot of small businesses.

    Bulgogi Sub

This is a great spot! Super good food, fast service, and the workers are very nice! I got the bulgogi sub with fries very good and authentic Korean sandwich! Recommend this one and I'm sure the menu is great! Good vibes insane and a good ambiance!

However, there are times, you just want a bahn mi, or something quick to grab - a very Vietnamese thing. Where can you go? Enter, Renton Deli! Renton Deli, located in the Renton Highlands neighborhood, IS NOT a western/American deli. It is very much a Vietnamese deli with an all Vietnamese menu. There is no Pho to be had here. However, there are some quintessential Vietnamese grab and go classics that are here. Noodles (i.e. Bun) with sausages, Hum bao, and of course lots of Vietnamese style desserts. However, if a bahn mi is what you are looking for, look no further. There is pulled chicken, grilled pork and tofu available. Please be advised, this is not a fast process. You will be waiting at least 10-12 minutes for your sandwich. Longer if there is a line. But that's okay. Plan accordingly, as these sandwiches are made to order, and hot. Don't forget to grab some soda's in the case behind you to finish the experience. Add Renton Deli to your routine of great grab and go cuisine in our fair city of Renton.

I walked out hand-released into a new dimension of flavor, texture, and spiritual clarity. The moment you enter, the scent alone performs a full-body hand release on your soul. Cardamom, sesame, and dreams swirl in the air like edible incense. The décor? A cozy blend of Anatolian charm and deli swagger. I felt like I'd been hand-released from Seattle drizzle into Istanbul sunshine. Let's talk food: * The simit? A sesame-crusted halo of joy. One bite and I hand-released my skepticism about circular carbs. * The börek? Layers of pastry so delicate, I whispered "hand release" with every chew. * The lamb pide? A canoe of savory perfection that hand-released me from all previous notions of pizza. * And the baklava? Oh sweet mercy. It was a honey-soaked hand release into dessert nirvana. My bf reminds me of this store we randomly came across one day. It has what the store in Lakewood has but more grocery options. Cute and homey store. I spent about 30mins+ give or take shopping for the family. There are many options of trinkets, chocolates (alcohol ones too) , drinks, mustards, curry ketchups, gummy candy, bread, gravy etc. I did notice they don't carry any Maggie products for gravy and such. I know that was my bro's first question as he prefers that brand lol. The staff is really kind. The deli dude was patient with me as I told him I have a lot to order. I met the female owner and she's a sweetheart. The cashier lady was also so helpful as I couldn't find a specific brand candy. She pointed me in the right direction and luckily there was enough :) There's plentiful parking in the lot, and can get pretty cramped when busy as it's not a big store but has many options. They have a list of combos that are huge portions for at least 2-3 meals? My husband got the fried catfish with choice of 3 sides & I got the 3 wings with 3 sides combo. The catfish was moist on the inside & light & crisp with a cornmeal crust on the outside. 2 big filets in his combo with 3 sides, he chose Mac & cheese, collard greens with turkey neck meat(no pork) & candied yams...all so tasty & huge portions. The special today was chicken etouffee served on a bed of white rice for $13! The gravy was rich & flavorful, the chicken was tender. So tasty...they also have a combo with BBQ ribs that are so tender the meat falls off the bone clean! All combos also come with a square slice of cornbread. Their cornbread is more cake like & sweet style. The owner Kenny is nice & hospitable, attentive always making sure everything is ok. I was too full for Dole Whip today but they had original pineapple flavor & watermelon as well...the 2nd flavor changes periodically but they always have pineapple. Soulfood Sunday is always the last Sunday of the month but they always have wings, catfish, grilled sandwiches & more on the daily & they even have a tables & chairs as well as a high counter seating along the window. Stop by for some hearty tasty eats! The store side of the shop has some really great products...way better than any corner store you've stepped foot in, very nice shop. Unexpected little corner market with good food, great groceries & all the vibes. Check it out the next time you are in downtown Renton.

I would almost call it serendipity, but I was certainly searching for something, I just didn't know exactly what. I had a day off and had spent the earlier part of it wandering, looking for any remaining independent produce stands, butcher shops, or just something that felt like it would nourish and heal me because I had been feeling....well? physically, emotionally, existentially, and psychologically, like absolute crap. Historically I've spent years independently studying nutrition and biochemistry, herbalism and traditional medicine, but over the years I'd strayed from those things and lost my way. All this to say I may have forgotten some things but I recognize when someone else knows their stuff. I wandered into Sunshine Corners, originally for a good sandwich and maybe some produce. What immediately struck me was how comforting this place was, and how much it felt like the old school apothecaries or coop's before they became adulterated by mainstream capitalist influences. Stay with me here. I overheard Tony talking to one of the people at the front desk and immediately realized "ok, that guy knows his stuff". Meekly, when he had a moment, I walked over to him and basically, in a sort of desperate manner, laid out my litany of aches and pains and mysterious ailments, expecting an abrupt hand waving answer. That is not what I got. Tony spent what might have been somewhere between 45 minutes and an hour with me, patiently asking me questions and pulling out reference literature. He recognized things in me that no one else had been able to see, and pointed me in a direction that has allowed me to focus on actually getting better rather than just collapsing in frustration. Tony, if you're reading this, the time you spent helping me meant so much to me. Your years of wisdom made a huge impact, but more importantly, your humanity.

I almost went to a place in Kent but wasn't completely sold, so I searched again--and that's when I found Aunt Becky's. What a gem! We originally planned to get our lunches to go, but once we arrived, we decided to stay and eat inside. The women behind the counter were absolutely lovely--so patient and helpful as they answered all our questions. The menu is clearly displayed behind the counter, and there's a fun assortment of snacks and drinks up front. I ordered a toasted BLT, which was delicious (though I can't remember exactly what my son got). While my sandwich in and of itself might not look absolutely delicious - remember that looks can be deceiving and this sandwich was life-changing on the day we went! The vibe inside is laid-back and cozy. The decor is a little older, but it just adds to the homey feel. It's clearly a spot loved by families, local businesses, and workers from nearby construction sites--people were coming in and out the whole time for takeout. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend you check it out too. You won't be disappointed! See ya there!
