Our family came here for the first time for dinner. The gal who helped us was friendly and kind. My husband got the burger, my son and I shared the fish and chips, and my other son got the fried prawns. I tried everything we got- the burger was delicious! Definitely the best thing we got. Cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The fish and prawns were beautifully fried with panko breading. However, the fish, prawns, and fries were very under seasoned leaving them all very bland unless they were dipped in sauce. There were fruit flies in mine and my partners drinks. after we drank about 3/4s of our sodas he noticed a smudge on his cup. When we looked closer we saw it was a fruit fly. I looked at my cup and saw a black dot on the inside of the lid, which was a fruit fly. when I opened my cup there was one climbing up the side of the cup and another that was floating in the drink. The last three times when we ordered a shake they say the machine is broken???? This has been over a three month period and just there with the grandkids and guess what??? I used to live pretty close to this place and drove by here every day without a second thought. I finally heard from a couple of people that it was worth stopping for so I decided to do so. Got the halibut and chips basket and my son had the cheeseburger And fries. The halibut was Panko breaded and perfectly done. Chips were good. My son said that the cheeseburger was incredible. Quarted mushrooms freshly fried in what I believe is a cornmeal batter and given a generous amount of ranch for dipping. I also got the mushroom burger, lol I know, and that was also so good! The Asian lady at the counter was so rude I couldn't even stand to continue ordering my food here. She had her face turned upside down the entire time, when I asked her simple questions like, "This is my first time here. What is your most popular burger?" She said, "Well, everything. Just order something." She was so nasty with me for no good reason. The reviews say this place is always busy, but I was literally the only person in the restaurant when I was attempting to order my food. My wife and I ate at this restaurant last Saturday night after she had complete dialysis. We went home, I ate my burger and fries, she had ordered a Philly steak and once she had opened her sandwich and very loud smell came out, like sour. And I was like, is that your sandwich . I've wanted to try this place for years & finally did. We ordered through a delivery service. I was a bit disappointed in the deep fried mushrooms, they were a bit dry & chewy. I didn't expect that. My son said the mozzarella sticks were pretty good, guessing they must have been with as fast as he ate them. He ordered a double order of the deep fried salmon expecting pieces that weren't all that big. The pieces were huge!! At least 6 inches long and super thick pieces. Double order was 6 pieces all about the same size. I took a picture of the pieces he had to wrap up & save for tomorrow. These are sitting on a 10" paper plate. It was cooked perfect too. Very light breading & not at all greasy. The salmon itself was moist and had great flavor. Normally I wouldn't save something deep fried but like I said very light breading and not greasy.
