Inedible microwaved food. Worse than Applebees. Avoid if you don't want to waste your money.

I ordered the new Hot Italian and even paid an additional $3.99 for "Extra Meat." Looking at the sandwich (see photos), I'd hate to see what the "normal" portion looks like. We've been loyal Firehouse Subs customers for more than a year because their standard portions are more generous than what I received here with a paid upgrade. When I order extra meat at Firehouse, it's actually piled on. Here, it was buried under a mountain of lettuce. For the price, the value just isn't there. Back to Firehouse for us.

I stood there waiting while two employees were right in front of me chatting, and another employee was cleaning the grill. What bothered me most was the lack of basic food-handling hygiene. The employee cleaning the grill had on plastic gloves, took them off using her hands, threw them away, then grabbed a new pair of gloves without washing her hands in between. The restaurant itself felt pretty clean which was definitely a plus and definitely appreciated. To be fair, when the employee did speak, she seemed like a nice person but there was no customer service attached to my experience. I paid, started to leave, and even waited to see if someone would say "have a nice day" or anything...........nothing. I don't like being overly tough on fast food places, but people work extremely hard nowadays to earn money and the bare minimum any business can offer is a simple smile and basic customer service. It's not about big business vs. small business it's about kindness and showing appreciation that each customer feels valued and appreciated. Twenty bucks for a sandwich, bag of chips and poor service. Definitely an easy 2 Stars for me. 2 Stars

I think we have stubbled upon one and in Seattle! In a market, there it stands. A good variety of sandwiches about $6-$9. We ordered 3 different types. I always order the cold cuts. Here it's their Dac biet and I have to admit it's good. It's large and full of meats as condiments. Very filling. Bread was perfect, not too hard or too soft. It does take a bit to get our sandwiches as it's made to order. I think it's worth the wait.

A simple digital menu shows options available and I was thrilled to see a tofu option for my vegetarian spouse The sandwich was the star with fresh ingredients, really tasty bread, well packaged and not overly messy. The peanut sauce had flavor but more watery and thin than I would have liked. And the spring roll was not vegetarian and there was not a vegetarian option. It wasn't temperature controlled and I have no idea how long it was on the counter which was only mildly concerning because they seem to sell them pretty well. The Thai tea wasn't very sweet I would come back for the sandwich and skip everything else

I went here with a bestie on a Saturday afternoon for something quick to eat and came across here. Their parking lot and the overall location is unassuming; you wouldn't expect a place like this to be around what feels like a secluded area. Plus the inside is just the front counter, the menu in big print and some small seating (not for dine-in, though). Bestie and I each got their combo bao, which comes with many ingredients like quail egg, jicama, celery, wooden ears, pork and black pepper. We wanted these heated up, and it took about 10 or so minutes for them to be ready. Bestie did also get a mini bao but asked for it not to be heated so he could eat as a midnight snack. As for the combo bao itself, the whole thing could easily qualify as a meal if you get more than one. Each is about $6 each so they are on the pricier side but it's definitely worth having and it's such a unique addition to the Tukwila area! So much so it almost feels like a hole-in-the-wall or a hidden gem... well it needs more exposure than it has!

They said that the Vietnamese sandwiches were flavorful, filling, and worth the price. I went with the pork puff pastry, which also had a decent portion size. It was warm, crispy, perfectly flaky on the outside, and had a good meat to pastry ratio. It tasted fresh! Service was friendly, and while we got our food to-go, there were plenty of people enjoying their food within the restaurant.

My's is best known for their banh mis, but they also serve pho, fresh rolls, and other Vietnamese dishes. I ordered the CHICKEN (#10) BANH MI ($8 and change plus tax and tip). The toasted baguette and pickled carrot and daikon were all fresh and crispy. However, I wished they put more vegetables inside. I also was disappointed by the chicken as it was shredded and not grilled. It tasted like canned chicken and was overall kind of bland. Had I known the chicken wasn't grilled, I would've gone with the grilled pork instead. Additionally, there was too much pate (which reminded me of melted salted butter, but gooier - almost like the texture of brie cheese) slathered on the sandwich and so I ended up scraping most of it off. Compared to Yeh Yeh's in Lynnwood, this banh mi unfortunately missed the mark for me (although it is convenient). With that said, I'd give them another try and try the grilled pork next instead with light pate. My mother tried the fresh rolls, and thought they were kind of small for the price. The peanut sauce was decent. I took my lunch to go, but the interior atmosphere is cozy. Service was decent too. Overall: 3/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3.5/5 for atmosphere

On a hot, sunny day around 2:50pm on Friday I decided to make the drive here after suddenly…read moreremembering one of my foodie friends had this place several times during other weekends. I actually had to park behind the building then look at other Yelp reviews to find out that there is parking on gravel near their dumpsters closest to LaShaun Daye Hair. Though I don't know if the parking lot where this building and E Marginal Way meet can also be used...street parking in this area was scarce, contrary to most Yelp reviews I've read. Anyway, I came to an empty but very chill interior with several tables and window seating, along with some semi-quiet VPop playing near the front counter to the right-hand side of the entrance. There's a small flower display along with the cafe logo a little to the back which is perfect to take photo ops with your drink and food like I did. The menu is above the front counter and - as their logo says - they specialize in banh mi and coffee, though they have some matcha and soup options among others. Staff at the front were very quick at making my coffee as I was the only one inside. I got their 16oz egg coffee, which is one of their best sellers according to the asterisk on their menu next to the name of the drink. Very strong phin-dripped Vietnamese coffee along with condensed milk and an egg foam that gave a sweet, creamy taste to the already bitter coffee at the bottom. Drinking the egg foam first, it's a nice, thick custard-like format that the coffee does not overtake, which is good since other places I've had don't have that kind of balance. My next trip back here will have to be for another one of their coffee drinks and their banh mi sandwiches as well. I can already hear my friend telling me to get one right now as I'm writing this up!

I've been wanting to try this place since I first heard of it…read more GETTING THERE: It seems tucked away in Tukwila, but it's actually extremely easy to get to and not to far off the exit from Hwy 599 coming from South Center. It's maybe about 2-3 min off the Interurban Ave exit. After a couple left turns, it's right on the corner of a 4-way stop. You can't miss it. PARKING: The place isn't very big but there is plenty of street parking available. There's also a small lot by the convenience store nearby. AMBIANCE: It's a very small place with Vietnamese decor and an aquarium. It was giving vibes of the sunroom at my aunt's house Vietnamese music playing in the background haha. There are limited seats if you choose to sit and enjoy your coffee. They have a couple tables on the side, or you can sit on the stools along the window. I think the place felt a little empty. It could use a couple more tables and chairs along the window instead of the stools. This layout kind of felt like a Baskin Robbins or a small local ice cream shop. SERVICE: I didn't see anyone at first when I walked in, but there was someone to ready to take my order by the time I got to the counter. She took my order then I took a seat at the table until she called me to grab me from my order. Not much else for service. FOOD: I mainly went here for the coffee, but I figured I should try the sandwich while I was there. I ordered the bánh mì đặc biệt (house special sandwich) and the cà phê trứng (egg coffee). The sandwich to me was alright at best. The flavors were unbalanced. I mostly tasted the chả over the other cuts and the meat was pretty cold. I get that it's called a "cold cut" for a reason, but it was really cold and kind of threw off the sandwich. The bread would've been better toasted, or at least have the option to toast it. The one thing I enjoyed was the amount of pate used. The coffee on the other hand was decent. I've been in search of more places that serve egg coffee and I usually get it every chance I get. I found it a bit weird that it comes iced. I usually get an option to choose if I want it hot or cold. It didn't specify on the menu and I was never asked. So I just assumed it was not iced because the only thing that was iced was the cà phê sữa đá. Well I was wrong... The egg part was super thick, fluffy, and creamy. It was the right amount of sweetness and saltiness too. Honestly it might be the best egg cream I've had on a coffee, but it would have been much better if the coffee was warm. I just think egg coffee should be served hot. It's a personal preference. The ice keeps the egg cream on top and I can't really mix the whole thing evenly. I would've enjoyed it more if every sip was a even mixture of egg cream and coffee. OVERALL: At the end of the day, I enjoyed this place. There are a couple small improvements that would've changed my experience. I did enjoy the coffee and that's what I originally came for. The sandwich honestly wasn't bad, but I think I would try the thịt nướng next time. Some places just do one or the other better. I think it's harder the get the cold cut sandwich right vs the grilled pork. Overall it's a nice little meet up spot and I would come back again just for the egg coffee.
