A pretty good pizza joint right by the place. The staff was friendly (enough) but they didn't really bring anything huge to the table because even after the girl working the front hung up the phone, she just stared at me and my wife until we told her we were picking up a pizza. The place was very clean from the few minutes we were in there to grab the pizza and I liked that the tables were spaced out nicely so no one has to be on top of each other while trying to enjoy their meal. The pizza was pretty tasty, I loved the crust had the perfect amount of crunch and thickness to it. It was a little pricey at about $22 dollars for a regular cheese pizza but we had leftovers and the flavors were all pretty swell! The amount of cheese and sauce was perfect and it was hot and delicious with each bite! The location is very easy to find and the food was good so that's all that matters to me! I do wish the staff was a smidge more friendly though! They have a few specials and lunch deals that I would love to check out in the future when I stop here again for more of their food! read more

Went here a little bit ago because I was in the area and with my husband, we were both hungry and wanted something new. We found this place and decided to order a pizza! While we waited for our order, we looked around. The place was very nicely decorated and there were a couple TV's showing different things on them. The layout was nice but it did seem like a few of the tables were a little close to each other so I'm glad we didn't order to eat there because I don't like being shoulder to shoulder with other people eating. We decided to get a medium traditional pizza with just cheese and sauce. The pizza was very good and the crust was perfect and crunchy without being too crispy and there was a nice amount of cheese and sauce! The price seemed a little high at almost $20 for a regular cheese pizza though. The staff was nice but could definitely be a little friendlier but other than that I enjoyed this place that I found! read more

Vito's Gourmet Pizza has been in the plaza for so many years and they are always a friendly place to get good Italian food. I picked up a pizza on a take out order and it was hot and ready when I arrived. The ingredients were fresh and the service was good. They also have lunch specials for those that do dine in as well as Happy Hour specials in the early evening. Their prices are very reasonable and the full menu has a lot of variety from traditional pasta dishes to salads and a kids menu for smaller portions. The parking lot is so much better after they rebuilt the Publix in the plaza. read more

I went out one limb today and ordered from door dash, and the food came within an hour. It was still fairly hot, enough to still enjoy. We ordered a pepperoni pizza along with the shrimp franchise. Pizza was soft and very tasty. The loved the big square slices, the dough was incredibly soft! The pasta came with a little side salad that we enjoyed. The pasta was also spot on, 6 very large shrimps in a flavorful franchise sauce, it was so good to dunk the pizza crust into. Walked into Vito's Gourmet Pizza right at the opening to get the freshest pizza. The store was clean and had traditional Italian decor. Met with the owners, Gabriella and Luis, who took my order and slid a freshly made pie into the oven for about eight minutes. Cut off a slice of cheese pizza and placed it into a box. I paid $2.99 for the slice and they advertise two slices and a drink for $6.99. After a few minutes, I sat in my vehicle and took several bites. The sauce was tangy, the bottom crust was low stiff and the cornicione had a great crunch. They offer a Happy Hour everyday from 2p - 6p beer and wine $3.00. They provided me with a menu containing several discount coupons. Aside from good pizza they also have Italian Subs, Salads, Stomboli, Calzone, Baked Ziti, Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagne and Meatballs. Many lunch specials and catering offered at great prices. The mens bathroom was very clean but the baby changing area needed attention. read more

Wow this place has some good food!! Their normal cheese pizza is great. I do wish there was a little leas sauce than what they put but it's ok. Who can read the ticket anyways. lol. If you go during the week or order during the week it's how crazy how their lunch deals are the same portions as a normal meal. You have to catch it during the lunch special hours. I ordered today a chicken parm sub that was very soggy and could not taste the chicken. It taste like breading, cheese and bread. Ordered a 1/2 tray of baked ziti, pasta over cooked and mushy and watery, no flavor and 4 people at my house tried the pasta and said it doesn't look like it was baked right. Came in at 8:50 PM this past Friday with my kids after soccer practice. The posted closing time is 10 PM, but we were told they were closing at 9 PM because it wasn't busy. We had to take our pizza to go and eat outside. Very disappointing. Customers should be able to rely on the hours that are posted. I hope management addresses this. read more

This has to be the worse pizza I think I have ever eaten including the ones bought in a grocery. The pie tasted like cardboard and about as hard to thoroughly chew. We had a big order tonight for Friday night takeout. We ordered a shrimp pesto pizza and some pasta dishes with salad. The lady who took the take out order on phone was professional, and thoughtful with my order, for ie: she reminded me I can get a soup instead of a salad with my pasta because I was already ordering a seperate salad )When we picked up the food and brought it home, we realized they gave us the wrong shrimp pizza and gave us a shrimp scampi instead. I called them and let them know and they immediately apologized and said we will deliver your shrimp pesto pizza to your house. I was shocked because usually places would say come pick up the other pizza. I thought that was very kind of them to deliver it and not make me go pick it up Not only did they deliver it in a timely matter, but they even gave me a tiramisu complimentary. The delivery man was super professional and kind and apologized for the lack of staff knowledge since they were new. I just have to say that this customer service was so excellent and I'm so happy to be able to say I'm going to come back to them because their food is outstanding and really good quality. In all fairness, all I tried was a large cheese pizza. Maybe their other stuff is great. If you're a fan of Chef Boyardee pizza in a box, Ellio's frozen pizza, and the pizza from the snack bar at the roller skating rink, you're going to love this. The crust is thick and bready (see the accompanying picture where I tore into the bread with my finger because it's so pillowy). The cheese is sparingly applied. The sauce is actually the best part--a little sweet with strong oregano flavor which I like. Look, pizza's a very personal thing so I encourage everybody to try it. As a transplanted New Yorker I've been looking for pizza a good as I had back in NYC. While going to a bagel shop next door I made a mental note to try Vito's. On Monday and Tuesday they have an $8.99 special for a 16" pie so I went and picked one up for lunch. The staff were all wearing masks but no gloves. The pizza is OK, the sauce and cheese were good but the crust was lacking something. If this place were closer to our home I would probably go back but there is much better pizza to be found closer to home. My quest for a NYC slice in Florida continues. read more

Call me biased, but I will always reserve a little room in my heart (and stomach) for some Vito's. I've been going here for close to 10 years now. The pizza is not as good as it used to be. Also Within the last three months they raised the price for a slice of pizza by 25%. Talk about inflation! What they should realize is that demand for their product is not inelastic. I will definitely be giving them a greater reduction in business than the 25% price increase. The good: I've had some good pizza here and some good service here. The bad: More often than not I've had fair pizza and fair-to-bad service here. The quality of product and service is spotty. I want this restaurant to succeed because it's a local business and located in a busy shopping center. But they need to get out of their own way... I've been an infrequent customer during the past 10 years - with different owners - even ordering several pies and salads for a large get together right before the holidays, but I just don't think I can do it anymore. Last night we ordered a Super Thin & Crispy pizza and an order of mussels marina to be delivered. The mussels were served with spaghetti and salad instead of as an app, but that was ok - at least it was hot when it arrived. The pizza was cold and the edges were all cut off! When I called the pizzaria to ask about the pizza - how could the pie be cold but the entree hot? - the person who answered the phone told me I ordered a thin and crispy and that's what I got! When I said "yes I ordered it but I wanted it hot" she put me on hold. A guy got on the phone and I introduced myself and asked who I was speaking with and he said "the pizza guy". I laughed. That's the level of customer service I guess. He told me that he doesn't know why the pie was cold but the reason the crust was cut was that they pre-bake the dough and "cut it to make it round" - that's how they do it. WOW really? How long does it take to bake a super thin crust? Even if the pizza was hot and had the crust it wasn't great. But the lack of concern when I called was terrible. There are so many local pizzarias that I can just support another local business instead. I still think that Vito's can be a good restaurant but there has to be consistency of service and food quality - and that's something I just don't think they care to provide. read more

Went in and decided to try, Being from NY its hard to find pizza like home! well this place great atmosphere, booths, nice pictures on wall , beautiful display of pizzas, clean place, everyone was friendly, we ordered pizza and garlic rolls , the cook even came to table to ask how we liked them cooked !!!! We got the rolls they were great, ( i needed some extra garlic oil and they happily obliged), next came the pizza a regular cheese pie, it looked awesome, and tasted even better, we even took a slice home !!
