Fridays are "Pizza Night" in my household. Our family has been looking for an authentic Italian restaurant with good food and quality service to serve as a tradition in our family's mainstay. We thought we had found that in Joe's Pizza and Pasta. Tonight's visit can only be described as significantly disappointing. The gentleman (with glasses) who took our drink orders and brought garlic rolls to our table was an absolute pleasure. He stopped by frequently to ask if we would like refills or additional garlic rolls. In truth, he came to our table more than our actual waitress did. The young woman who oversaw our meal experience came to our table exactly 3 times: to take our food order, deliver our food, and bring the check. This is important to note, as tonight our pizza took longer than usual to arrive at our table (as an aside, the pizza was amazing, per usual). We sat and watched patrons on the other side of the restaurant have their meals delivered, knowing that some of them arrived and were seated after our party. While it can be expected that the kitchen sometimes gets backed up or that there is a delay in food preparation, what is not acceptable is having wait staff who do not communicate that as part of their service. At no point did this individual check in with our group to keep us apprised of what was happening, nor did she check in to see if we would like our drinks refilled--or express general interest in how our meal was progressing. Although she was not overtly discourteous, it was evident pretty early on in our dining experience that she was completely uninterested in providing basic customer service. While it is entirely possible that this person was having an "off" night, her lackluster service and general disinterest in serving our table have left an indelible impression on my husband, my son, and me. Regrettably, I do not believe our family will be back anytime soon. read more

Visiting from out of town, I called to place a takeout order and asked if the gnocchi could be made with alla vodka sauce instead of meat sauce, since the menu lists a "penne with alla vodka sauce." The customer service representative first said she "didn't think they even had gnocchi", then very rudely insisted they could not switch the sauce. I later learned that Joe's Pizza and Pasta is the same restaurant as Angelo's Pizzeria on Sheridan in Hollywood, FL. When I called Angelo's, they were quick to accommodate my request. We drove there, and the staff was incredibly sweet, kind, and happy to help with our order. I mean at Joe's you're able to customize a pizza but I guess you can't customize pasta. read more

First time visiting, definitely not the last! Loved their GARLIC ROLLS! Plenty of garlic and butter, not too dense. My wife and her mother had the lasagna which their version was a little different than the usual, but enjoyable. Not the usual layers of pasta and ricotta and meat sauce. I'm not a huge pizza lover but when I do want pizza I definitely go to Joes pizza. They have the best margarita pizza I have had in south Florida. I returned to Joe's last week and once again it remains 5 stars! I may designate Joe's 5 stars on a permanent basis! My buddy Chris and I again sat down and were friendly greeted by Linda (our favorite server!). Yes I must say Linda is terrific and always keeping an eye out on us. I hope she gets her recognition for her hospitality. I'm glad she's been there when we've stopped on in. Chris and I got our usual sharing a chicken parmesan hero and large pizza. Granted...we never finish our food, lol....but it's all good. We appreciate a little bit of everything. When we sit down to eat, it's no holding back, YOLO. So yeah we also enjoyed Joe's legendary Garlic Knots. The bread is always warm and smothered in garlic oil and seasoning. These knots are like a meal in and of themselves, lol. And of course we take home any leftover garlic knots as well. Joe's is never crowded it seems when we're here which is good for us as it's our little hidden gem spot. I can't praise this place enough. Service is always perfect. The food is constantly fresh. Chris and I enjoy a couple of fountain sodas when we're here, which are unlimited refills. Lastly, the setting is casual just the way we like it. Because...we're not fancy kinds of people, we simply appreciate good old fashioned Italian food. And Joe's delivers in this aspect to a tee! Local Italian join with amazing pizza l, pasta, & meatballs. Lunch specials Monday to Saturday that are very filling portions. All the locals eat here, our waitresses has been there for 15 years. Everyone knows everyone and this family atmosphere adds to the experience. Food is excellent and there is never an "up charge " for something extra. When it comes to bang for your buck, Joe's Pizza and Pasta has probably got one of the best lunch specials around. The Chicken Parm, with the spaghetti for $8.75 that comes with a large soup (or salad) and Garlic Rolls! That's a good deal, with some great food. Also, two slices and a soda for $6.55, probably can't be beat. Especially when others order dishes that come with Garlic Rolls, so you can steal some Garlic Rolls for yourself. The staff is super nice and quick always bringing out more rolls and refilling drinks. And the pizza is pretty good, nice and thin and not overpowering with sauce, and as you can see in the picture, the cover every possible section with toppings. The only drawback is trying to restrain myself from eating the pizza before it cools down.
