There were two employees working, one younger and one older woman with dark short brown/black hair. When we asked about the Nuna car seats, the older woman with the short black hair didn't even want to give us the time of day. We were looking for more information about it and she just told us that the Nuna car seat they have on display is the only Nuna car seat they can sell or something like that. She didn't come over and offer us a product demo or nothing. And the store was EMPTY. It was just me and my wife there. Instead, her and the younger employee was too busy trying to order Starbucks from next door. We did end up spending some time in the store checking out clothes & whatnot and did walk away with a $60 sleeper, but neither employees tried to help us in anyway shape or form and we were there for a good half hour. Granted, it was towards the end of the day, but this was a complete 180 from our previous experience here. I will say this, Mod Mama still tends to be the best spot in RI to grab baby gear & clothes but whoever doing the hiring needs to take a hard look at their employees because some of them can care less about the customers! Please take appropriate action! Being new parents is scary and having someone showcase & demo all the nice brands out there is sooooo nice to have locally. But I settled on a few. Check out was quick and easy. I was asked if I needed a gift receipt (Yes! Thank you for asking!) and told they do charge for bags now and did I want one. I always have a reusable clothe bag on me so I declined but very happy she let us know there is a charge before adding it to the bill. The store is bright and tidy. Boys and girls clothes are separated to the left and right and I did find gender neutral items mixed in too. I'll still use their online services to have baby clothes shipped directly when they reside out of state. When I can give them the gifts in person, it's nice to have this Carter's store close by.

I went back about 6 hours later to which I was greeted with most of my clothes being returned to me. Stating that the clothes were stained it worn out. ummmm that would be a huge NO. My granddaughter wears everything just a couple of times ( because she had tons of clothes) and as far as stains, if there's a stain that doesn't come out, my daughter throws the article away. I always say that I thank God for blessing us with a boy, because I cannot afford a girl. Everything lady-like I see I want to buy. I had the opportunity to visit on Sunday, September 14th. Garden City Center's historic gazebo green transforms into a vibrant, open-air Farmers Market. The Farmers Market is every Sunday from May 18 through September 28 from 10 AM to 2 PM. I wandered and checked out the local vendors. There were a great variety of them. I purchased a really cute coaster from The Book Emporium RI. The Book Emporium RI sells books that are wrapped and you have a blind date with a book. I also purchased a lavender sachet from 15 Lavender Place. I spoke with the owner and she told me all of the lavender is lovingly home-grown and hand-harvested, ensuring the highest quality and care go into every product. There were soothing lavender eye pillows, relaxing neck wraps, sprays, and bundles of dried lavender. I also went to Fully Rooted to purchase two bottles of freshly pressed juices-Watermelon Slice and Golden Greens. There were also local food trucks, farm booths, and local makers. The Garden City Center Farmers Market is a market for everyone. Either if you just want to stop for coffee, get produce for the week, flowers, dog treats, see alpacas, and so much more.
