I was doing a work event here on my day off and was hungry afterwards, and wanted to try something new. This place came up and I figured I'd see what it's all about and give it a try. The place was dimly lit and mind you, it's the middle of the day and they'd only been open for a short while. It's also the dead of January and they still had the baseball schedule scrolling across their screens above the TV's? Baseball's been over for months! Not that I'm a sports fan, but how come it's not updated? I sat at the bar and my server was attentive and friendly. I reviewed the menu and went with their traditional American burger with cheese. I could be wrong, but I swear the menu said it was $12 or $13 but my bill was $17. No big deal since I'd checked the menu prior to coming in so it wasn't alarming to me. A manager is not a good person and if you qualify mugs by the management, they are terrible no polite conversation. I highly don't want anyone to go there. My experience was something I never experienced in my life kicked out for talking to some patrons about directions. You will never see me there ever and I hope more people don't go there. My boyfriend and I drove by Mug Pub on Thursday. The sign was really catchy! We immediately made dinner plans for the next night. The pub is pretty tiny in size but there's plenty of tables, seats, TVs and even Keno. Our waitress was very attentive and service was fast. We started out with the Parmesan garlic tots. Originally we were going with the loaded tots but we saw Parmesan garlic tots and had to try them! Tots were crispy but not overdone. The sauce tasted just like the Parmesan garlic wing sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings. Would definitely recommend! I had the pub sliders. The waitress made sure they were cooked well done. Beef sliders with pulled pork and slaw- delicious!! Best sliders I ever had. My boyfriend got the all you can eat fish and chips (Friday special) He said they were about a 5/10. He probably won't order them again but maybe on another Friday. He loved the fries, though. Great beer selection. They even had my favorite Blake's Hard Cider on tap (Saint Cheri!) Mom and I live around the corner from this local gem. After driving by it almost on a daily basis for well over a year we decided to stop in. I took a break from work and went in at 1:30pm on a Monday. Surprisingly there were quite a few people at the bar at this time. Our server was knowledgeable, efficient and kind. I was very happy to hear they served Sauvignon Blanc and ordered a glass; mom opted for a bottle of domestic beer. I ordered steak tacos and charred wings. The wings are on special on Mondays, 10 at 50 cents each. Mom ordered a burrito. After we ordered I decided to check out the lotto machines...weee, Monday mid-day gambling and drinking, shhhh don't tell my boss. You can play Keno, pull-tabs and paper lotto. I bought $10.00 in pull-tabs, winning $6.00 back and bought $20.00 worth Powerball, Classic 47 and Fantasy 5. Hopefully you will see me next on My Lottery Dream Home. The burrito and tacos arrived first. I loved my steak taco's, they were very tasty. The flour taco was especially delicious, not tasting like a store-bought flour taco. They had pickled carrots, garlic and onion on the side...very spicy and delicious. Thank goodness I saved room for the charred wings as they were off the charts delicious! They were tiny little wings but oh my they were good. We will return and try a few different items on the menu. We had a blast at the Mug Pub. It was a Monday night and we wanted to check out a new spot in the area. We love simple places to chill, grab a beer, good food, and if we are lucky watch a sporting event. Mug Pub was a spot I noticed in the area with a large variety of beers on tap. They have a a great bar space, adequate indoor seating and a large outdoor patio with heaters. They had the place decorated for Halloween and it was super cool! We found a spot at the bar and ordered a few beers. They have multiple tvs to watch events. We met some really fun people, who frequent the pub, and they ended up buying us a few drinks! SWEET!!! It was really an unexpected night for such a great experience. We ordered some wings and split a burger. The wings were okay, but the burger with the bacon jam.....YUMMM! Employees were friendly and the space looked cool (decorated for Halloween). Food was fine. The pretzels were chewy and definitely microwaved. The pub cheese had a good kick and was pretty tasty. The fish had decent flavor but the fries were lackluster. The pulled pork sandwich was massive and had a good smoky flavor, but just a tad on the dry side. A bit of bbq sauce on the side would have solved this. The coleslaw on the side tasted old and as if it had sat out for awhile. Everything is priced fairly but overall impression didn't leave us with a desire to return soon. read more

Have always driven by this place and was curious to try it. It's a lot smaller on the inside than I thought so it wouldn't be a good place for bigger parties, but it was still busy for a Thursday snowing evening. I pass by this place often and have wondered what it was like inside. My brain told me it was a brew pub of sorts. That was not the case. It's more of a dive bar. We came in for lunch and to watch an important game. We got there right when the opened and we're lucky to get a spot at the bar right in front of a TV. The bartender out the game in for us and served us our drinks. All was well. We were happy. This place quickly filled up. Within an hour they were really hopping. Only one person to take care of all these customers. Made for a bit of slow service. Totally not her fault. Soon another bartender came in and we were service picked up. Came here on a Monday at 5 PM and it was dead. Walking inside, it looked just like a typical bar - loud music, TVs, and lots of wall decor. On Monday's, the wings (they can be grilled, bone, or boneless) are $.50 each. You can choose one sauce per ten wings so I asked for my wings to be dry and I'd add two different sauces - I ordered the ten piece boneless with buffalo and spicy garlic. The buffalo was tasty, but the spicy garlic almost just tasted like a hot sauce. I wasn't much of a fan. I also ordered a Dirty Blonde beer for $5. The service was great and the food was tasty. What a weird experience? I ordered a caesar salad and it came with italian dressing instead... with no explanation. My partner said the brioche bun on the chicken sandwich did not seem to be brioche / was reminiscent of a grocery store hamburger bun. At first glance, Mug Pub looks like it might be a better beer bar type place, but it's more of an upscale dive/neighborhood sports bar, which is fine, but I couldn't help feel a little deceived at first. That's just my perception though, I do not believe the business purposefully attempts to be deceitful. With that being said, the beer list was a bit underwhelming, but mostly appropriate for their target market. Lots of light lagers and national brands, with a few local offerings (Bell's and Griffin Claw as of my first visit). I'd honestly like to see a bit more local offerings replace some of the light lagers, but they had Two Hearted, so all is well. The space was very comfortable and clean. I don't know what was here before, but this felt brand new and I really liked the bench seating along the back wall in the high tops. The food menu was pretty typical bar fare; burgers, salads, sandwiches, and some pasta entrees. The tacos on the starter menu looked interesting, so maybe next time. I had the Bacon Jam Burger and I couldn't much tell when I got some of the bacon jam, but the overall burger was really good! The bacon looked to be of good quality, and everything was cooked perfectly and everything was hot... which is apparently is a rarity these days. My only real complaint was when we asked the waitress if the fries and onion rings were made in house or frozen (the menu said the potato chips were fresh cut) and after a moment of hesitation, she said they were NOT frozen, but... They were. And that's OK! The rings and fries were HOT and they were actually quite good for being of the frozen variety. Otherwise, our service was good! First impressions are very important and for a place that has just opened very recently, I was pleasantly surprised! Most places have lots of bugs and kinks to work out this close to their open date, but it felt like Mug Pub had been running for a while. We'll be back! read more

Our waitress and food were both so amazing, I can't imagine giving less than 5 stars. I really wish I remember her name but I honestly don't. I pointed her out to the owner though, so it's all good! My husband and I got the classic loaded fries (amaze!) it had melted cheese, green onions, bacon bits, tomatoes and sour cream drizzle I got the pulled pork and chicken tacos (they have 3 for $9 taco Tuesdays and best believe, I'll be back!) the pork tacos, omgosh. They were BOMB. Flavor explosion!!! Chicken tacos were the same, but I just love pork more. Tonight made my week! My friend Miranda and I were out late looking for a place to munch when we stumbled upon this place. We picked it simply because of the name. We were immediately greeted by the bartender on staff, Avery. He told us we could pick our seats, so we took the little two table by the bar, and we're glad we did. The waitress, whose name I believe was Anise, was quick on her feet. There was a bit of a wait at times, especially when it came to the food at maybe around thirty minutes. But the wait went by quickly, thanks to the friendly staff and awesome emo music in the background. I got the Bangin' Pasta. It was amazing, the noodles sizzled in your mouth, and the steak (add-on) was tender and seasoned to match the impact of the spice. And thankfully, I didn't feel weird or uncomfortable not ordering any alcoholic drinks and instead had some delicious lemonade. Miranda got the chicken kababs. Her first monch went straight to the huge chunks of seared chicken on a stick! And you bet I had the next piece! The chicken was so tender and moist with a perfectly charred outer crust keeping the steam in! But while I was munching on Miranda's stolen chicken chunk, she was diving for our fries. It's fun having a bar in the area, especially one that's fairly updated. their food is decent, especially the wings (charbroiled takes a little longer to make so you'll wait a bit before you get your food), but the mixed drinks tasted as if they were made with bottled mixers. Meaning, the mules tasted like mule mix, not actual ginger beer. It's the little things for me that make a bar stellar when there's so many choices out there. The server was clearly high on something. She kept forgetting our order and we received the wrong dressing on our salads. I also had an empty glass for a good half hour before she asked if I wanted another. I was pretty much done by that point. Back for the wings again on a Monday night ($0.50/wings). Spicy BBQ for round 1 was a great sauce. Just the right amount of kick and not as spicy as the menu leads you on. Round 2 was spicy garlic which was 6x hotter than hot BBQ. The menu shows 2 flames next to both sauces which is completely incorrect. Pretty sure I just received garlic nuclear sauce. Again the wings are tiny, super tasty char grilled, (cage free and steroid free as the menu states) but still not impressive in size. For a Monday 50 cent wing night it was convenient, but MP won't become a staple. $25 out the door for 20 wings ($10) and 3 beers ($15). read more

From my experience Saturday night , I can't see how they're is positive reviews ?? We were excited to try this place as it looks out of place but had good reviews. We started with a nacho with 3.00$ extra for chicken. The nachos came out and about 40% of the nachos had something on them. The other 60% was just plain chips..... the amount of chicken I got on there was 100% less than 1oz ! The meal was offensively bad in every category and I will not be back. I hate leaving reviews like this as I know it's detrimental to new businesses but hopefully management can make corrections and they can grow or learn. read more

Ok I've been here a few more times since my initial somewhat disastrous experience and I take back that 3* and have to go with 5*. I had been back before they were closed for a bit and then have gone a few more times since they reopened. The staff is very friendly whether you are calling in for carry out or dining in. On a carry out they take your whole order, read it back, and make sure everything is 100% correct before they hang up the phone and every order we've done has been spot on. Dining in it's a sports bar with tvs and music going but you aren't overwhelmed by everything going on. The food though...I've tried the burgers, sliders, and tacos and I couldn't say anything bad about any of those items. The tacos are great and full of flavor, the burgers are big, messy, full of flavor, and great to eat, and the sliders are fantastic with pulled pork, slaw, sauce, and some burger you can't go wrong. I apologize for my previous bad review based on a bad door dasher but this place is a family favorite and our go to when we need a good burger! read more

Went there on a Saturday. Place was fairly dead (maybe 1-2 other tables). The beer selection was decent and priced normally for a bar. We had a decent sized group, but service was really shotty. Drinks would be empty for 10+ minutes before being able to order another. Also tried to order food for 30 minutes, only to have the waitress ignore me every time, yet take orders from everyone else at the table. Ended up with the char-grilled wings in buffalo sauce. They were kind of gross with a weird mushy texture. Not really impressed. Unsure if I would make the trek back to that side of town specifically for this establishment. read more
