The food here was a mixed bag. I got the specialty wings and they were over salted. Not much flavor outside of that. Mashed potatoes and gravy were a little bland as well. However the chicken spiedini and fettuccine Alfredo were excellent. Their Caesar salad was exemplary as well. Burger was standard and fine. Drinks were good, nothing special either. Prices were fine. My mom and I came in for some appetizers one night for a quick girls night and sat at the bar. Service was okay, we got served in a timely manner, but drinks didn't keep filled. We got the potato skins, spinach artichoke dip, and cheesy bread. The first two were fantastic, the bread was just standard - honestly felt like they cut a loaf of bread and topped it with butter and cheese, definitely not worth what they charge. Personally, the food was good, but I don't think it's worth the hype or the price. We have some fantastic spots in STL so I think it's worth it to come here since it's a St. Louis staple, but I wouldn't call in my favorite in the area. read more

The food is always excellent as is the service. Their St. Louis style pizza is freaking amazing and I may offend a lot of people here when I say it's better than Imo's. After coming here for years, I've just realized that they have a very nice selection of Bourbon, Rye, and Whiskey. Best of all, they always seem to run special deals on most of them where many pours are half off. Today I enjoyed an old fashioned with Castle and Key Restoration Rye for only $6. SIX DOLLARS!!! This is a typical sports bar & restaurant. They were quite busy for a Thursday evening, but our group had a reservation and we were promptly seated. Service was a bit slow, but not too bad considering the crowd. I ordered the fish sandwich which came with one side; a bit pricey at $15.95. The fish sandwich was gigantic, it is served on grilled French bread. Fish was good, breaded instead of battered. Brussels sprouts were OK, nicely charred, which I like, but lacking in any seasoning. Overall, average food and overpriced for the atmosphere. I guess it could be a good place for happy hour and game watching on one of the many big screens. read more

My bestie and I love this place for two reasons: it's half way for us between our houses and it's the best place to get sports, salads, and beers! We have been fortunate enough to get the same table in the bar area, with a few great views of televisions, but regardless of seating arrangements in the bar area, you'll have your eyes on a game. If you're not in the bar area, and you're not interested in what electronic devices offer, there's great seating in the rest of the restaurant also. Food and Service: five stars always at this specific location. This Concord Plaza location hits the target on consistency and excellence with every visit. What are our must try recommendations? We are in STL so you have to get the fried cheese triangles! The triangular shape has to be a pet of their magic, but also the breading is light, the cheese is perfection, and the marinara is perfectly meaty and tomato-y without being acidic. We also love the Caesar salad- it's got a unique spiciness to it, between the black pepper and something I can't discern. You can tell it's made in house because there's a slight variation in some visits but not much. For entrees we vary. We both love pasta, but she goes weak in the knees for the chicken fried chicken meal and I can't ever stray from my beloved tortellini Marino. I had taken my grandmother to see the holiday lights at Grant's Farm (fabulous) and we were looking to eat dinner afterwards. I was able to look online and see that Joey B's had a 5 minute or less wait for 2 people at like 6:15 on a Saturday evening. Great! We headed on over and got right in before they were basically full and there was a wait. Our server was friendly and efficient. We ended up sharing the Frankie's Salad and the Lasagna. I love the Frankie's Salad because it has that sweet red wine vinegar dressing. The Lasagna was HUGE! The two of us together didn't finish it. I've been here a few times before. Most recently last weekend. I love that they have a large patio with great service. We had a large party - 9 - and did not arrive at the same time or order at the same time. Some of our party just did apps, some did lunch, some did pizza. The server was fine with that and she checked in frequently to see if we needed drink/beer refills or if anyone was interested in an order. It didn't feel pressured or rushed at all (we were here a few hours drinking). I ordered the meatball sub, bread on the side and WOW those meatballs were good! The real showstopper was the green beans. I've never had restaurant green beans good enough to brag about before - but you must try these! Hubby had the house salad with buffalo chicken added and a side of onion rings. Their onion rings are HUGE and thick with a delicious breading. We have to order these every time we go. My go to at this restaurant is the chicken Spedini, whether it be on skewers as a dinner or as a sandwich either one is my most favorite. I have experienced several other menu items and they're absolutely yummy! With the chicken Panini, whether it be with the dinner or with the sandwich, I must have their house salad. Their salads are always cold and fresh and crispy, and the House salad is delicious. That be concerned if you show up in the house is packed. Just know that your meal will come in a timely fashion. It would be hot fresh and ready for you. This building has not been updated as of yet the environment is tired and a bit drab however I do not come for the ambience. Another visit to Joey B's confirms that the food and experience here is solid. I ordered the Turkey Bacon Ranch wrap and it can be prepared hot or cold. I preferred hot this time and it was very good-plenty of turkey and cheese and other ingredients. There are a number of sides to choose from including a side salad, but I went for the cole slaw this time-thick and creamy. Another ordered a gluten free pizza with a couple of toppings and it was really good with a nice crispy crust. Kylie took good care of our table and made sure our drinks were filled and we were satisfied. The dining area is big including a nice bar area. Their food is always great. That being said, they recently changed the onion rings. They used to be cut very thin, almost shaved, and seasoned with Durkee's seasoning. There were a ton of them and they came on a sheet like their pizza. They not serve thicker cut, heavy breaded, tastes like a hockey puck, on a dinner plate, onion rings. They have been adding new menu item the last 6 months or so, and I was up for trying them. The first thing was the stuffed peppers. I found the sweetness and the sugar content too much to even finish them nor take them home. After 3 bites I complained to my waitress but was not even offered another option. Last night I decided to go for the meatloaf. I've had it at the Joey Bs on the hill and liked it. Last night went to the concord location. Imagine my surprise when I bit into it and it had both ketchup and too much beef gravy on the loaf. My mouth was so confused and disappointed by what I was tasting. Went on a Monday night with family. Checked in at the hostess station, gave my cell number for the wait, got my confirmation text and we and a number of other people stood to wait. An hour later I asked the 3 young ladies how much longer it would be and they said they didn't have us on the waiting list . Needless to say I was chapped and somehow we were seated shortly thereafter. No one except our server apologized and she took our orders in good time. We then waited for nearly another hour for our food. Again no apology. We wound up being one of the last two tables when they decided to close and hour early 'because we are out of so many things.' If our server hadn't been so nice and the food pretty good, this would have been a 1 star. So, for me, disappointing and not a repeater. read more

I recommend the pasta tutto mare. The place is your basic family style restaurant nothing fancy jeans, shorts and t-shirt type of place is very much the norm. I will say the prices are reasonable and the service is decent. I usually do carry out at this place and it's great place if you don't know what you want to eat. This place has a little of everything. The reason I gave it a three pending on the night the food can be inconsistent (seasoning) and sometimes the service might be inconsistent due to if it's busy. I've never had a bad time at Joey B's. Big portions, expansive menu, good service, enjoyable setting, etc. I've come here many times for work and with friends. It's a great place to gather for a meal! They start off by giving you fresh bread and butter. Lots of restaurants do this, but Joey B's is better because they stick the butter packets in between the warm slices of bread so that you don't have to try to spread rock hard butter on your bread. I almost always get the same thing when I go -- chicken spiedini sandwich on garlic cheese bread with shaved brussel sprouts. Pro tip: adding the shaved brussel sprouts to the sandwich..... so good! The best part about this sandwich is that each half basically has a whole chicken breast on it so you get to take half of it home. I also often get their side house salad. First of all, it's huge! Second, their creamy Italian dressing is amazing! Sometimes when they're busy, you'll experience a longish wait for food but I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seated. If your in the mood for Italian, comfort food, something hearty, or you need to accommodate a picky eater, give Joey B's a try. They won't disappoint. read more

Had early Friday night dinner with wife and daughter. Restaurant was starting to get crowded, but we were seated promptly. Server quickly took our drink order. My wife and I split the pork tenderloin sandwich with shaved brussel sprouts. That sandwich was huge and tasty. Generous portion of brussel sprouts were delicious. I tasted one of the raviolis off my daughter's order and the sauce was very good. Our server, Jay P, was attentive, friendly, and courteous. Tonight my boyfriend placed what he thought was an online order to be delivered to our house from our nearby Joey B's on Manchester. After awhile he got a call from Jeff, the manager of this (the Concord) location asking when we were going to come pick things up. My bf said he ordered it for delivery and Jeff said it didn't pop up that way but that he would go ahead and deliver it for him -- super nice. He looked up our address and was like "Hey you're 13 miles away, Manchester would be much closer to you. I'm going to call them and transfer the order over to them and let them know what happened and they'll get it delivered for you, and I'll refund your charges on my end." He was so nice and helpful beyond what he needed to be. I worked in a restaurant for over 4 years and I know how hard it is to be there at 9pm and sometimes it's hard to be nice and it's REALLY hard to have the energy to go out of your way to help someone when you're not gonna see a tip out of it. Ordered a cowboy burger with French fries. Not only were the French fries soggy but the taste of old grease were left in my mouth. Definitely can tell the grease needed to be changed. The worst onion rings ever; mostly just batter and thin onions. There was also some type of bug on the lettuce of my burger.
