    Bar, monday night football!
    Austin S.

Shoe string fries, burgers, sports, whisky! This is the quintessential neighborhood bar. Sans pretense, sans judgement, sans all things bad. Just a simple spot, serving simple food(with playful twists), with some damn good service. If you need a quiet spot to grab casual dinner with a friend, a quick date night, or wanna catch a game this is the spot. The burgers are great, and fries even better. Another gem on morganford that you should go to time and again!

It's our first time dining at City Park Grill, but it's one of those spots that just gets it right. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming--modern but still cozy, with a great buzz of energy. The staff was super friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which always sets the tone for a good meal. The food? Excellent. The burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly, and the fries were golden and crisp (definitely worth upgrading to the truffle fries). We also tried the grilled chicken sandwich and a side of mac & cheese -- both full of flavor and surprisingly hearty. Drinks were on point too -- they've got a solid craft beer list and cocktails that actually taste like they were made with care. Overall, City Park Grill is a great go-to for a casual night out, game day meetup, or even a relaxed dinner with friends. Great food, great service, and a lively vibe right in the heart of the city. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to!

First time visiting tonight and we walked into trivia night. Usually we would play but we had our 6 year old and just wanted to eat and head out. The vibe was cool though and we actually were playing at our table unofficially. I ordered the Shire Admirer burger and fries and from first bite I was in love. Had the best flame grilled flavor and was juicy! Fries were ok, nothing to write home about there. It's street parking and we got lucky considering it was trivia night. Our server was really nice and attentive even with it being pretty busy. Nice place I'll be adding to our list to revisit!

    Salmon wrap with spinach wrap

Service was good. Food was ok. Atmosphere was good. I ordered the salmon wrap with a spinach wrap. It wasn't very palatable. Maybe I just dont like spinach wraps but it was kind of sticky. My wife's fries were burnt. Our drinks were always filled up and service did check on us often so that was appreciated. Overall a decent night, not great, but not terrible. I might come back for the trivia and a burger just not the fries or salmon wrap though.

Friendly and attentive wait staff. Brought us our drinks right away. I ordered the Smash burger/Park style build your own burger. I would give it a 9/10 for taste. But couldn't help but notice how much smaller the size of the burgers were compared to the brioche bun. I can't be the only one to notice that. The fries were a little limp and soggy for my preference.

I had dinner and holiday drinks here last night. There is plenty of street parking but no dedicated parking lots. We sat at the bar where Kailey and a gentleman took great care of us. I started off with the Mistletoe cocktail. It was reminiscent of a strawberry and cream candy in liquid form. I consumed it in probably 3 minutes lol. For my meal, I ordered the Steak 'N Fake Frisco which definitely tasted way better than Steak 'N Shake's Frisco melt. The bread was buttered, airy, but crispy and the patty was very well seasoned. The handout fries were really good and seasoned just as well. I was stuffed! I don't know if it's normal for Thursday nights but trivia started around 8pm. I love this place!

    The actual Pitchside Pale Ale

Was disappointed this time. Wife's chicken tenders were way overcooked and while they made some new ones, the manager tried to argue they just looked overcooked. I ordered the Pitchside Pale Ale from @Bluewood Brewery and what I was served was not a pale ale. Asked the waitress about it and she confirmed it was the Pitchside. Then went to the bartender and he tried to tell me it was correct. Tried a 3rd bartender and I asked him to try it and to try the Citropolis and he said they tasted similar. I asked him to trace the line from the keg and he said he would check with a manager. She came out and they traced the line and the kegs were hooked up to the wrong taps and they were serving incorrect beers. They brought me the correct beer after 15 minutes of trying to convince them but never did they offer me a different beer or take the beer off my bill. Just overall not great customer service this time.

I've always loved this spot-- and this part of town. I brought a friend in for a casual lunch late Saturday afternoon and we both left completely satisfied. The service wonderful, as always. I enjoyed the smash burger, which is what I order every single time (the fries are amazing!), and my friend got the veggie taco and chicken taco. She was looking for a light option and the tacos perfectly fit the bill. Highly recommend for a casual lunch or dinner, or even just a good cocktail at the bar.

Half of the cheesesteak and fry meal

Came in for a quick bite with a friend. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. Love the mural on the wall. Nice and close to the Tower Grove Park. For the menu you had to scan the barcode on the table. Personally, I would much prefer to have a menu to look at. We were not very hungry and just wanted something little so we decided to split the cheesesteak. It was a little different than cheese steaks I've had before. It had a little chopped pieces of green pepper instead of strips. Not a lot of cheese on it. The french fries were the rusty cut type and a bit greasy for me. I would return to try some of the other offerings. Their nacho sounded really good and would like to try those next time. They did have a good size bar area as well.

Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We tried new items: the quesadilla, the veggie tacos, and my boyfriend got the Lou Chick. Everything was great, as usual.

We loved how they had the garage door open for the air to come in on the nice day. The bar / high top are had plenty of space and was very comfortable. They had a great happy hour around 3pm, both our appetizers were on the happy hour menu, as well as our Pinot Grigio drinks. The food was excellent, we had focaccia bread, and fried calamaris. We didn't have them but the wagu sliders and chicken lollipops both were popular at the other table. We also got a white chocolate tiramisu to go that was fantastic. Great bread = Great dessert Really appreciated our waitress / bartender that day, she said she had four grown kids of her own, as well as appreciated the rest of the staff. Thank you for a great meal and service! See you again soon

Unfortunately though, this restaurant seems to have a case of quantity over quality in terms of food items. There are far too many things on the menu for them to perform well at all 40+ menu offerings, or at least that's my opinion of what might be going on here. I ordered a glass of prosecco and the prosciutto con melon appetizer to start. This was actually quite nice flavor wise but if you're going to charge $22 bucks for an appetizer you better load my plate up with prosciutto!!! For me personally, 3 pieces of prosciutto, a pile of arugula and some cantaloupe is not worth 22 dollars. I then ordered a side beet salad and mushroom ravioli. This is where things took a turn for the worse. Beet salad was decent, I just wish they put more of the toppings. Was basically just a bowl of arugula. The mushroom ravioli was sadly a let down for me. The pasta was rolled far too thin on top of the filling and far too thick on the sides so unfortunately the tops of the ravioli were paper thin and overcooked while the sides were still raw. Really unappetizing to cut a ravioli open and see raw pasta. Honestly the flavor was pretty rich but not terrible it's just the ravioli itself wasn't well executed. The lovely waitress noticed that I wasnt completely satisfied and took the ravioli off the check. I ordered some "wagyu" sliders that were juicy but in desperate need of some salt. She also offered me a free dessert which was a warm olive oil cake which had a nice orange flavor to it. Honestly quite a nice ending to an underwhelming meal. Would come back for drinks, though.

They have 34 flavors of Ranch made in house and a variety of different foods and flights to give you a taste of each one. I ordered the flight of 15 with the Ranch seasoned fries. They were crispy crispy crispy in the way I love them and were the perfect vessel for dipping in those Ranch sauces. Some of the stand outs for me were the Parmesan Peppercorn that hit in all the right ways with being flavorful, creamy and not overpowering; the smoked tomato basil was an add on for the grilled cheese and its killer and was a great choice; the OG Twisted Ranch held its own of course; the steakhouse was a recommendation from my server and he was right! Those were to name a few that rounded out my top five. Some call outs also included Roasted Garlic and I'll warn you its heavy on the garlic so you better be a garlic lover and the creamy Balsmic. My least favorite was the mango as it was very subtle and reminded me of a Pico de gallo without much flavor to it to set it apart. I ordered the grilled cheese and loaded tots without the bacon. If anyone knows me understands grilled cheese is a favorite. The bread was nicely toasted to give it a good texture and it was not soggy. Overall very good grilled cheese and enjoyed spreading the smoked tomato basil Ranch on it. Come here to vibe, have fun, I recommend it!
