I've been here a few times and every single time, my experience has been very meh. The food is okay and sometimes below average. A few weeks ago I had a Bob Cobb; it was a poorly done salad with little taste and I didn't bother boxing up the leftovers. The service is average and sometimes poor. Staff seem to do the bare minimum and nothing more. Once, I had to wait over 15 minutes after the table was cleared for the check to arrive while I could see the server chatting with the bartender. I finally brought the check over to her to process because it didn't look like she was going to take care of it anytime soon. Another time, I ordered a cocktail on happy hour ($3 off cocktails). When the bill arrived, there was no discount included. When I asked about it, the bartender shared that it should be included automatically. It was not. After she spoke with several staff members, she told me that it wasn't included since she made the cocktail with a premium spirit (which I never asked for). I wasn't going to make a big stink on $3 but that definitely wasn't a customer-focused response to the issue. They do offer smash burgers, but their City Burger is exactly the style I've been searching for since moving here--juicy, flavorful, and satisfying without trying too hard. The fries were excellent as well. My son loved his meal and cleaned his plate, which is always a good sign. My wife's experience was a bit different. She ordered the po'boy after our server recommended it as the best value on the menu, but it didn't quite win her over. If we come back, she'll probably skip the value calculation and go straight for flavor by ordering the jalapeño-loaded burger that I had. The ambience was nice. First time visiting tonight and we walked into trivia night. Usually we would play but we had our 6 year old and just wanted to eat and head out. The vibe was cool though and we actually were playing at our table unofficially. I ordered the Shire Admirer burger and fries and from first bite I was in love. Had the best flame grilled flavor and was juicy! Fries were ok, nothing to write home about there. It's street parking and we got lucky considering it was trivia night. I grocery shop down the street and kept seeing this place...looked like a small pub so when we finally looked it up we were pleasantly surprised by the reviews and knew we had to try it. Was disappointed this time. Wife's chicken tenders were way overcooked and while they made some new ones, the manager tried to argue they just looked overcooked. I ordered the Pitchside Pale Ale from @Bluewood Brewery and what I was served was not a pale ale. Asked the waitress about it and she confirmed it was the Pitchside. Then went to the bartender and he tried to tell me it was correct. Tried a 3rd bartender and I asked him to try it and to try the Citropolis and he said they tasted similar. I asked him to trace the line from the keg and he said he would check with a manager. She came out and they traced the line and the kegs were hooked up to the wrong taps and they were serving incorrect beers. They brought me the correct beer after 15 minutes of trying to convince them but never did they offer me a different beer or take the beer off my bill. It can get loud inside which has consistently bothered my mother in law, but it's never been a big problem for us. It had a little chopped pieces of green pepper instead of strips. Not a lot of cheese on it. The french fries were the rusty cut type and a bit greasy for me. Once every 3 months or so I treat myself to a burger here. I generally get my $14 bill (I don't drink) and tip 50 or so as I really only go for a burger 2 or 3 times a year and I enjoy knowing I can make someones day. Today was that day and I went in at 3:30 which is the slowest time in any restaurant. Sat at the bar and didn't get helped so I walked over to a traditional table to sit down instead, hoping that I'd be in a dedicated servers section and she'd see me and come over. Sat for 5-7 minutes with the same exact thing it was so weird. There was only a 4 top, a single, and 3 people at the bar, for 2 bartenders and 2 servers. Maybe I should have spoken up but my idea of confrontation is uncomfortable for most so I didn't want to cause a scene. I quietly went outside and walked up to the window and one of the bartenders took my order immediately as if I was never sitting right in front of them. It was all super strange. When I gave him a $20 bill I was so annoyed at that time I told him to keep the change I couldn't even sit there pissed off any longer, I didn't want to wait for him to figure out my tender owed. Went to my car and waited for the burger to take home and eat. I honestly don't know if I will go back, but the burgers are very good, as is the other food I've tried over the years. When trying to dispute the charge, be prepared for the lovely, full of attitude, manager to tell you it's YOUR FAULT they assumed and gave you the wrong drink. Cute local bar & grill on Morganford! Came here recently after thrift shopping on the block for lunch. They have a ton of TVs and had football on every screen which was nice. Ok, city park! I see you! I've only been here a handful of times but figured I'd go ahead and post a review. I met up with a friend and decided we should get some grub at City Park Grill. Upon walking in, you'd never believe that small space would have so much size. We ended up seating ourselves (although I don't recall a sign that said wait to be seated). While we weren't given menus, they did have a qr code available at the table. I was having difficulty trying to substitute the dressing for my salad, so we flagged a server. He would have come anyways but ordering with him def. made it easier. I'm not sure what they had going on for it to be that busy on a Tuesday, but we were still given pretty good service. Even though it was packed, our food still came out in a decent amount of time. While it had been a while since I had ordered from here, I forgot how big their salads were! I was feeling quite ravenous, so I knew putting a dent in it wouldn't be a problem. The salad was just what I needed- refreshing, flavorful, and comforting. The croutons had a nice crisp while accompanied by the savory yet delicious brown butter balsamic. It was pretty mouth watering, if I'm being honest. My only gripe was the chicken coming out separate but aside from that, 10 out of 10. The fries were cooked perfectly, at least how I prefer them, which is seasoned and extra crispy. I must say, I always get weary when I give a server my order and they don't write it down, but surprisingly, ours proved me wrong! I can't wait to come back and try more dishes next time. read more

The fries were limp and oily but the chips were nice and crispy. Both sandwiches were good! The Sriracha aioli on the chicken sandwich has a nice kick. The wings were small and one of my pet peeves is when they serve wings and the number of flats and drums do not match. My order was, 5 drums and only 1 flat. They were also, on the small size. I know for a while, wings were a struggle for restaurants, but I eat a lot of wings and others are back to serving larger pieces. Our cocktails were good. My adult beverage was a Jalapeño Bloody Mary and my friend just had vodka on the rocks with a olive garnish. Kinda hard to mess those drinks up. What really lost them an additional start was serving salt in packets. We just thought that was weird for a sit down restaurant. Also, the service was sporadic.
