Came here with her mom over the weekend. We weren't sure how busy it would be but thankfully we got seated right away and the food came quickly as well.

Wonderful food, great service. I really wish they would do something to make it less loud in their dining area. Turn the music down for goodness sake. The sound bounces off the concrete floors, walls and ceiling. There are no soft surfaces to absorb any sound at all.

Shoe string fries, burgers, sports, whisky! This is the quintessential neighborhood bar. Sans pretense, sans judgement, sans all things bad. Just a simple spot, serving simple food(with playful twists), with some damn good service. If you need a quiet spot to grab casual dinner with a friend, a quick date night, or wanna catch a game this is the spot. The burgers are great, and fries even better. Another gem on morganford that you should go to time and again!

It's our first time dining at City Park Grill, but it's one of those spots that just gets it right. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming--modern but still cozy, with a great buzz of energy. The staff was super friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which always sets the tone for a good meal. The food? Excellent. The burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly, and the fries were golden and crisp (definitely worth upgrading to the truffle fries). We also tried the grilled chicken sandwich and a side of mac & cheese -- both full of flavor and surprisingly hearty. Drinks were on point too -- they've got a solid craft beer list and cocktails that actually taste like they were made with care. Overall, City Park Grill is a great go-to for a casual night out, game day meetup, or even a relaxed dinner with friends. Great food, great service, and a lively vibe right in the heart of the city. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to!

    Shire Admirer

First time visiting tonight and we walked into trivia night. Usually we would play but we had our 6 year old and just wanted to eat and head out. The vibe was cool though and we actually were playing at our table unofficially. I ordered the Shire Admirer burger and fries and from first bite I was in love. Had the best flame grilled flavor and was juicy! Fries were ok, nothing to write home about there. It's street parking and we got lucky considering it was trivia night. Our server was really nice and attentive even with it being pretty busy. Nice place I'll be adding to our list to revisit!

    Salmon wrap with spinach wrap

Service was good. Food was ok. Atmosphere was good. I ordered the salmon wrap with a spinach wrap. It wasn't very palatable. Maybe I just dont like spinach wraps but it was kind of sticky. My wife's fries were burnt. Our drinks were always filled up and service did check on us often so that was appreciated. Overall a decent night, not great, but not terrible. I might come back for the trivia and a burger just not the fries or salmon wrap though.

I had dinner and holiday drinks here last night. There is plenty of street parking but no dedicated parking lots. We sat at the bar where Kailey and a gentleman took great care of us. I started off with the Mistletoe cocktail. It was reminiscent of a strawberry and cream candy in liquid form. I consumed it in probably 3 minutes lol. For my meal, I ordered the Steak 'N Fake Frisco which definitely tasted way better than Steak 'N Shake's Frisco melt. The bread was buttered, airy, but crispy and the patty was very well seasoned. The handout fries were really good and seasoned just as well. I was stuffed! I don't know if it's normal for Thursday nights but trivia started around 8pm. I love this place!

    The actual Pitchside Pale Ale
    Norman L.

Was disappointed this time. Wife's chicken tenders were way overcooked and while they made some new ones, the manager tried to argue they just looked overcooked. I ordered the Pitchside Pale Ale from @Bluewood Brewery and what I was served was not a pale ale. Asked the waitress about it and she confirmed it was the Pitchside. Then went to the bartender and he tried to tell me it was correct. Tried a 3rd bartender and I asked him to try it and to try the Citropolis and he said they tasted similar. I asked him to trace the line from the keg and he said he would check with a manager. She came out and they traced the line and the kegs were hooked up to the wrong taps and they were serving incorrect beers. They brought me the correct beer after 15 minutes of trying to convince them but never did they offer me a different beer or take the beer off my bill. Just overall not great customer service this time.

I've always loved this spot-- and this part of town. I brought a friend in for a casual lunch late Saturday afternoon and we both left completely satisfied. The service wonderful, as always. I enjoyed the smash burger, which is what I order every single time (the fries are amazing!), and my friend got the veggie taco and chicken taco. She was looking for a light option and the tacos perfectly fit the bill. Highly recommend for a casual lunch or dinner, or even just a good cocktail at the bar.

We came by to grab coffee and dessert one night…read more They have a small bar area in the front of the store to let folks sit and enjoy the view. We ordered 2 desserts and a coffee. The desserts were both tasty and well balanced, the coffee was fresh and screaming hot! The ordering process is a little clunky l, as we had to wait for the ladies behind the dessert counter to be available (they also seat guests in the restaurant it seems) and they didn't see us for a minute. Then you go to a different spot to order coffee and pay. The cashier wasn't sure what the desserts we ordered were called, so she had trouble finding what to ring in. Just made it seem a little unorganized. We were also surprised that tiramisu wasn't an option. But tasty either way! Be sure to stop in and try them out.

The appetizers, artichokes, zucchini fries and Burratta were amazing and the whole party enjoyed them. This was a birthday dinner for me so I was excited when I got there (my former review was about our amazing lunch there so I expected so much more). My mother ordered the pork chop which she enjoyed, she said it wasn't special but it was a good pork chop. My brother ordered the crab enchiladas which he hated. He did admit that it could be a taste thing as he expected sauce and there was bone, just cheese and noodles and crab and not enough cheese. My daughter and I both ordered filet and lobster with scalloped potatoes. I overlooked that it was served with sauce, which had it been flavorful sauce would have been okay but it was as if they took milk... just milk and poured it over each plate. The steaks were not medium as expected... more like a medium well and the lobster... well it is weirdly shredded partially with a bit left in the tail... my daughter complained hers was chewy and mine was ungodly nasty fishy. I even gave my daughter a piece of mine which she said tasted nothing like hers and she couldn't even swallow it. I am not a person to eat a significant portion of a meal and complain so we just ate what we wanted but it didn't take a lot to eat a significant portion because there wasn't much there. For 75 a plate I expected at least quality food and what I received was not quality food. The potato was not bad to me but everything on the table was served tepid and not at all hot. However there were some things warmer than others... my steak was warm, my daughters was cold, her lobster was warm and mine was not. The pork chop was just tepid and the potatoes were just cold. The same went with appetizers, fried artichokes were cold but zucchini was so hot I burned my mouth.... It was much busier when we went last night than when we went for dinner and i left feeling as if they either need more cooks or one that can handle a busy restaurant because the food was just not good. A big disappointment as it was my birthday dinner and one I had really looked forward to. If I were to go back it would be for the lobster roll which was the amazing lunch I had some time back or for an appetizer and a drink and that simply because the staff really are great and the little store out front so cute and J love Italian Grocers... If you go here I recommend asking questions and taking a look at reviews of what you would like to order. Again, I recognize everyone has different tastes and this review speaks to my thoughts on the food last night not on the restaurant as a whole which I feel tries very hard to be a good experience for customers.

I can see this being problematic when they are busier. This is a pub like restaurant with the primary feature being an extensive variety of ranch dressing. But I live 4 1/2 hours away. The last several times I have been in St. Louis I haven't had time to stop in. But today I was determined to arrange my schedule so I could enjoy a late lunch here. Unfortunately, this turned out to be an extremely disappointing experience. The service was truly abysmal. If I hadn't made such an effort to be here I would have walked out. When I walked in at 2 pm there were only a few occupied tables. One person was waiting to be seated. When the employee took that person to a table she said she would be right back. I waited for several minutes while I observed a few other employees but no one came back to seat me or the other person who had come in behind me and was also waiting. After we had been waiting for several minutes the other person said, "Maybe we should just seat ourselves?" But another employee walked by and said that someone would be with us soon. Finally someone came and led me to a table. Nearly every table in the restaurant was empty but she took me to the very back table, which was facing a stack of upside down chairs, a 5 gallon bucket, and other assorted storage items. She asked if I knew what I wanted but I needed to look at the menu since it was my first visit. That was my first mistake because she disappeared for quite some time before returning. When she finally returned I said I'd like the side of fries with 5 ranch flight. She slapped a paper on the table and told me to mark the ranch flavors I wanted, then she disappeared again. I marked them and waited.....and waited.....and finally she came back to my table and asked, "What was it that you ordered?" I said I hadn't ordered yet then she said, "Oh, right, you wanted a side of fries" and then she walked away as I was attempting to tell her I wanted to order a sandwich too. But she had disappeared. I was talking to her back because she walked away so quickly. It took more than half an hour before she brought my side of fries and ranch out, she laid them on the table and started to walk away and I had to tell her quickly that I wanted to order a sandwich too. I ordered the grilled cheese, thinking it would be quick, as I had already been in the restaurant for nearly an hour. I had wanted to order a side of slaw too but she walked away quickly. I waited another 45 minutes, during which time I kept looking around the restaurant but all the employees seemed to have disappeared. Occasionally I would see an employee briefly appear but no one came near my table. I saw three different employees at different times but after brief appearances they each disappeared. If I had seen my server again I would have asked her to cancel my sandwich order as I couldn't wait any longer but I never saw her. After 45 minutes I was going to leave money on the table and walk out but just then she appeared with my sandwich. I asked for a box as I said I had to leave and she brought the box. No apology for the wait, or thanking me for coming in. This was such a disappointment! Two hours for fries and a grilled cheese sandwich. There were at most four tables with customers in the restaurant and at least three employees so they definitely weren't busy at midafternoon. The fries were good except they weren't hot, just lukewarm. But they would have been excellent if they had been served hot. The seasoning was very good and I enjoyed the 5 ranch flight. Three stars for food, zero for service. Ambiance would have been good if I hadn't been seated at the last table facing storage items. No pictures of my food because I had waited so long that my phone was dead. I noticed that several of the recent reviews are one and two star and mentioned poor service. So maybe this service issue is recent and hopefully will improve in the future.
