I've seen this place all my life and never decided to try it until today. It was cool to see the large bison statue still there too. As you enter it really looks like a saloon, a very country western look which is cool. The service was nice. Our server brought a burnt item out to see if I was still interested or not which i was happy that she knew it was questionable. I sent it back and the re-fire came back great. Of our party, we ordered bison burgers, chicken strips, boneless wings, club sandwich and southwestern eggrolls. Everything was delicious! The seasoned fries and tots too. I only gave 4 stars because my eggrolls came burnt the first time and the wings could've had more sauce. However, we will return! read more

I ordered the bison burger with American cheese and seasoned French fries. Bison meat is lean so it needs cheese to help elevate the flavors. The burger was cooked perfectly. The bison meat needed more seasoning besides the slice of American cheese. The seasoned french fries are delicious. What would make the fries even better is if they are served hot. So often restaurants don't execute this part of the meal. Turn up the warmer on the fries. I got excellent service from Cindy. Went here on a hot summer day to watch the Cardinals game. Televisions throughout the restaurant so a good place to go to watch any sporting event. When I first got there it took a while for the lady to come over and greet me. They weren't busy but they were getting take out orders. I had the triple cheeseburger and some fried pickles. The fried pickles were excellent!!!! I don't know what the dip was but it was delicious!! The fries that came with the burger were ok but I'm not big on fries anyway. The burger however was still mooing! It was dark on the outside and raw inside. I ate it and with the onion and pickle and a little ketchup it wasn't bad. It's bar food with bar quality service, depending on where you sit and what time of day you go. Last time we went we sat in the first available spot, which put us by the bathrooms and across from the kitchen; not ideal but we were hungry and it was closer to 8:45pm on a Friday, so we didn't have many options. I ordered a salad which had craisins on it, that nearly broke my tooth (they were QUITE stale). My partner ordered a sandwich/wrap that got sent back (which he never does!) because it came out looking like half smashed quesadilla. A nice little place for bar food. When you enter, you enter through the bar. Then go through another section where the staff work, but there are about nine tables in this area. Unfortunately, we were sat in this area. It was in the evening, it was really loud being so close to the staff station and pretty dark in this area. They did have more seating on back as well as a great patio seating for nice weather. I ordered the Gouda bacon burger. It was OK. A little bit dry and not much cheese on it. I ordered seasoned fries with it. They were good fries with just a little bit of seasoning, not too overpowering. My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich and he said it was pretty good. Hit the Trainwreck for a sister's happy hour! I love that the bar area and staff feel very laid back, but still attentive. On many visits I have had a bison burger ( recommend medium rare or it can get a bit dry). On my last two visits I had a salad topped with an Ahi tuna steak. Yes, good enough to order again! The chicken strips were big and the fries were cooked to perfection. They give you dipping sauce and ketchup in little cup. You may need to ask for more. So me and my family come here a lot and every time it's great and the people are nice and we sit down get our order in watch the sports games on the tv and look around at nicely built structures and we can smell the food coming out of the kitchen the BBQ Smokey flavor, our food comes out quite fast and the 3 burgers that just came out look amazing all good portions and well seasoned fries and nicely cooked, the servers check up on us but mostly let us eat, this is one of my favorite burger places I've ever been to ever thing is amazing from the regulars to the feel of the seat I love going here. I pass this cute Bar/Restaurant after leaving work and have been curious about it. I was in Rock Hill on Saturday with my Mom and we were starving so we decided to try Trainwreck. So glad we did. The friendly staff were a pleasant addition to this all to cute place. We did not wait for a table and were seated right away. Our server was very attentive and always asked if we needed anything. I got the Prosperity open face Sandwich with Ham, Turkey on grilled Texas Toast covered with a Cheddar Cheese sauce and bacon. Hot and delish. I opted out of the fries and got a side salad (uocharge). It was fresh and good. My mom got the Hot Roast Beef with cheese and grilled onions on a warm Pretzel Bun. It was rated Yummy.... I have been going to Trainwreck, both the Rock Hill and the Westport locations, for about 25 years. It has been consistently good all those years. Trainwreck is a good local business that serves good food with minimal fuss. The Rock Hill location is definitely smaller and more cramped for seating, but it makes up for its smaller size with atmosphere. I love the old-school feel of the place. I have had a lot of things on the menu, but my favorite is the amazing seasoned fries. Burgers are huge (you should probably split with someone) and cooked correctly to order. Some other favorites are the southwest chicken wrap, trashed wings, southwest egg rolls, and, surprisingly, the seared tuna steaks. Trainwreck might not be as fancy as some of the newer bar & grill places but it's a solid choice for a beer with friends and a great burger and fries. read more
