I was looking for a place that serves good pasta dishes, and I found it: Joey's Pizzeria. The chicken limone is to die for! They give you plenty of food (2 breast cutlets), which comes with salad, garlic bread, your choice of pasta, and potatoes. I had a hard time finishing all that food, but I couldn't stop. That's how good it was! Plenty of flavor and seasoning, my palate did a dance with each bite! Reasonably priced, too! Can't wait to try the pizza. read more

Ordered a thin crust pizza with pepperoni and onions which should be easy to do received the pizza with undercooked pepperonis, uncooked onions and barely melted cheese. Was expecting much better as I frequent the joeys red hots next door. Was very disappointed. Will most likely never order a joeys pizza again. I really wished more out of this business. read more

Meh. It was ok. My young adult kids said let's order joeys pizza so I said ok. We ordered stuffed. Now the price was great and much cheaper than other places that have stuffed. My complaint is that it had no taste. No Italian spices. It was like a tomato sauce with no taste. Kinda blah. If you like bland pizza then yeah go for it or if you're looking for cheap pizza then I recommend this highly. Sorry Joeys I wish I could offer more stars. First time we ordered the pizza was awesome. We have ordered from them and the last 2 times, both Pizza's came out with burnt crust. We order 1 deep dish and one large chicken pizza. The staff is less than helpful, stating it's our oven and no one else is complaining. Wow, Good staff is hard to come by. Note to owner: We came back 2 x hoping to repeat our first experience. I've had Joey's pizza a handful of times. I decided it was finally time to give them a review. Having lived in the Orland Park area for the last 8ish years I'm amazed I hadn't stumbled upon Joey's any sooner. In the same location they have a hotdog stand & a pizza parlor. This review is strictly pizza parlor. The thin crust they have is quite enjoyable. Furthermore the specialty pizzas they offer are a great go-to. I've had the supreme and the Nicky so far. Both were wonderful. My husband likes to get some of there pasta offerings as well. He highly recommends the Chicken Française. One thing that was a set back on the last particular visit was the hour and a half wait for a pick up. I'm guessing this was a really busy night. I plan on ordering Joey's again very soon! read more

Had no idea this place sells gelato! And it's actually open late to satisfy my late night sweet tooth! They have several gelato flavors available and even let me try as many as I wanted before deciding. I went with a scoop of toasted coconut with almonds and fudge and a scoop of peanut butter cup. The flavors were both delicious and the texture was smooth and creamy. The waffle cone also tasted fresh and delicious. Yum! read more

So, the food here is good. The pizza isn't the best, but I came for the commodity of eating outdoors and gelato. I was dismayed to see that the employees are wearing their masks over their chin, with their nose and mouth exposed. One girl didn't have a mask at all when she came out to stock the cooler with water. What drove me the most crazy was the girl working the gelato counter was eating behind the counter where food is served. I'm sitting here now writing this and I see a customer is at the gelato counter with no make and they're serving him. Finally after getting pushed back by floods earlier in the year, Joey's sister restaurant finally opens. The Joey's hot dog store is amazing but this place is just as good and it's only 50 feet away. Food is outstanding here, amazing quality, well prepared. This place will exceed your expectations. I've been going to the original Joey's now for years and now I don't know what store I want to go to now. Joey's definitely knows how to impress but even though this place is new, expect this place to be packed by the time summer hits. Even my coworkers have came here and tried the Gelato and they say it's better than anything else. Keep it up Joey's! read more

I've been a customer of joeys for a while now and have had great experiences. Naturally I was excited to see the Pizzeria open. Today we ordered the 18in with sausage green pepper and mushroom. I appreciate the use of fresh ingredients and real Italian sausage. Let me be clear I mean fresh ingredients not "fresh" like papa johns says "fresh". I'm talking about freshly cut peppers, mushrooms, etc. I do like the pizza sauce I think it compliments the other ingredients well. Some sauces at other places can be very overbearing but not here. Today they had a rib special which we also tried. Ribs were cooked extremely well. The slab itself was great quality. Very meaty with Minimal fat and gristle on the bones which I appreciate. The ribs also had a nice little char on them which is key in my opinion for BBQ. Sauce it quality as well; perfect amount of sweet with a nice tangy finish! Though I took the order to go I do enjoy the atmosphere. The place is clean and has that family feel to it! As you walk in you'll notice the big menu boards straight ahead which is where you place your order and pick up the food. They have a few high boy tables and seating situated along the left wall. On ur way out make sure to grab some gelato! They have a nice variety of flavors to choose from as you can see from the pic I posted! They have seating outside to the right of the building to enjoy you meal or scoop of gelato with a nice fountain in the middle. The customer service has always been great at joeys and today was no different! Stopped in after dinner tonight to grab some gelato for the family and brought it back to Roselle! The gelato is among if not the best I've had! Great variety of flavors and always seem to have something new every time I come in! read more

Only been open a week I think, sister restaurant to Joey's hotdogs. Bought a half cheese half Italian beef. Waited pretty long, very busy, took 15 minuets just to place order after walking in. Good things, sauce pretty good on pizza, bad things, dough chewy for a thin crust like chewing bubble gum. Cheese actually too much, bacame chewy also. Not sure they are rushing dough, if it's made there, but dough way to chewy, may have sprained my jaw muscles on it. They have pasta meals no sandwiches, and a gellato bar. Not home made or in house gellato, brought in from somewhere. So not a fan, will try again because I like the sauce. But if dough still that bad, won't go again. I'll Stick with Aurilios. read more

Sister restaurant to the hot dog stand next door which I'm already a fan of, Joey's pizzeria recently opened and I was excited to give it a try. Ordered on a low-key weekday so cooking and pick up time may have been faster than an order placed during peak weekend rush for pizza. I ordered a medium (14'') Chicago-style thin crust with half sausage half pepperoni. I was very surprised at how good it was! With so many pizza institutions in the area, the competition is stiff and newcomers have to be good. I think Joey's makes the cut, no pun intended... The pizza has a nice crust, it was just the right balance of crispy and soft, not overly thick or paper thin, just like Chicago tavern style should be. The cheese and toppings were a little on the thick side, but not too thick like Beggar's. The Italian sausage was good, seemed to be good quality and fresh. The pepperoni was just okay, I much preferred the sausage. Sauce was good in taste and quantity. (I feel like a lot of thin crust pies can be lacking sauce so I sometimes order heavy sauce). Sauce was pretty balanced between acidic and sweet, though I must say I am biased to sweeter sauces like Palermo's. What truly makes this pizza great was the price. I ordered a 14'' pizza, which could feed up to 3 people and the cost was $9.97. Yes, under $10 for a 14'', without coupons. This is a very good price and you will pay a lot more for the the same size pizza elsewhere. Service was good. Everyone was friendly and the inside of the restaurant was nice and clean. It is worth nothing they have gelato and pasta, as well as other items that I have yet to try here. Went to try the pizza on a Friday night. Tried to call in my order 5 separate times before I could get someone to pick up. After finally ordering I place my order at 5:30 and was told 45 min. I arrived at 6:10 and waited 20min and still not ready. The place was busy and lots of people waiting. Had to drive my daughter to swim and came back at 7pm and still no pizza. Finally ready at 7:15 . Got home and it was a good pizza but if you quote 45 min please be within a reasonable window of time of not quote the true time 90 min and I wouldn't be mad. I think they were so busy and the ovens were full but didn't want to scare off orders quoting such a long wait time. read more

I was visiting my parents in Mokena and we had a craving for pizza. We usually order from Beggar's, but the previous two pizzas we got from Beggar's were awful. I live in LA and there is 1 good pizza place reminiscent of Chicago there. Believe me when I say I look forward to pizza, pizza, and more pizza when I'm back in Illinois. I'm not a pizza "light-weight," as there are at least (5) other local 4-5 star pizza joints that I frequent. Last night (Friday) I ordered an 18" thin-crust w/ (3) ingredients for pickup (cost: $22.89). This pizza was simply fantastic and was exactly how I had pictured and hoped it would be with browned and blistered cheese and a crisp yet soft and tasty crust - the pie was perfectly and delectably sauced to match my selected ingredients. Since my first visit/discovery, I've been a fan of their red-hot stand next door for the occasional hot dogs w/ fries, gyros, and of course the breaded steak and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, not to mention their entirely efficient business model, but this was my first crack at their pizza. Tonight, I am looking forward to having Joey's pizza again, as shortly, I will be microwaving (more than half of) my Friday night leftovers (value: priceless). read more

Its always nice to have a diverse food selection,but its usually not a home run. Our first experience at joeys was on the pizza side a couple Sunday 's ago. We ordered the chicken parm, eggplant and lasagna, only to then find out about the 30 minute wait for our food. Why isn't it stated on the website about the wait time, or was it a people shortage for only 2 people at the counter and 2 to appear to be cooking. Nevertheless our 3 orders of way to much sauce was disappointing and none of the containers were labeled, thus adding to the delight of our meals. The crust on the deep dish was doughy. Overall both pizzas were mediocre at best and 90% of our diners agreed. I picked a Sunday night to pick it up and only waiting 5 mins over what they told me. Perfectly acceptable. They offered me some samples of gelato while I waited so I can't complain! Joey pizza is the best in the area to start. The price is right and we love it, my husband is a total pizza snob as he grew up in the city. Honestly this is the only place we can both agree on and like. Today, we ordered and I literally sat the pizza down for 2.5 seconds to sign the receipt and my 2 year grabbed it and threw the entire pizza on the ground. Without hesitation the delivery young man offered to send a new one and went to the car and called and came back to the door and told me a new pizza would be on the way. They send me a whole new pizza, no charge. That is excellent customer service, because in no way was it Joey's fault or the fault of the delivery guy, just a little girl in her terrible 2s . We have been to Joeys Pizzeria twice and just catered them today for our sons Baptism and WOW! We loved the food on both our visits, and our guests today were blown away! I also have to mention that when we visited for dinner one night, Anthony came out, greeted us, was very friendly, gave us great recommendations for dinner, and dessert (Gelato, omg, yum)! It's a no brainer to use them for our sons first birthday celebration. I recommend them to anyone looking to impress their guest at a reasonable price! Delicious! (For Record we catered Pan of meatballs, 2 pans of sausage and peppers, pan of rigatoni I n vodka sauce, and oven roasted potatoes. Everything was 5 stars! Why would I go back?? We have been getting sandwiches, burgers and wraps since they opened. As soon as they opened the pizzeria we are now picking up the 2 large slices of pizza with one topping and your choice of pop or water for $5. Great pizza and great price! Just left Joey's as we were standing at the counter ready to place our order they take the person behind us first just because they phoned in their order. It was in the warmer so another minute wasn't going to hurt! We placed our order for 2 slices of sausage was told 15 minute wait, during that time the counter help (who was not wearing a hair net) grabbed a broom and swept the floor not washing her hands before handling any food.
