I've had Joey's pizza a handful of times. I decided it was finally time to give them a review. Having lived in the Orland Park area for the last 8ish years I'm amazed I hadn't stumbled upon Joey's any sooner. In the same location they have a hotdog stand & a pizza parlor. This review is strictly pizza parlor. The thin crust they have is quite enjoyable. Furthermore the specialty pizzas they offer are a great go-to. I've had the supreme and the Nicky so far. Both were wonderful. My husband likes to get some of there pasta offerings as well. He highly recommends the Chicken Française. One thing that was a set back on the last particular visit was the hour and a half wait for a pick up. I'm guessing this was a really busy night. I plan on ordering Joey's again very soon!

Wow! Another winner from Joey's! We ordered our pizza well done and THEY DID IT! How refreshing to get what you order. We've always loved Joey's and now there's another reason to love it. I can't wait to try the gelato!

So, the food here is good. The pizza isn't the best, but I came for the commodity of eating outdoors and gelato. I was dismayed to see that the employees are wearing their masks over their chin, with their nose and mouth exposed. One girl didn't have a mask at all when she came out to stock the cooler with water. What drove me the most crazy was the girl working the gelato counter was eating behind the counter where food is served. I'm sitting here now writing this and I see a customer is at the gelato counter with no make and they're serving him. May come back after COVID if they're not going to follow their own rules.

I've been a customer of joeys for a while now and have had great experiences. Naturally I was excited to see the Pizzeria open. Today we ordered the 18in with sausage green pepper and mushroom. I appreciate the use of fresh ingredients and real Italian sausage. Let me be clear I mean fresh ingredients not "fresh" like papa johns says "fresh". I'm talking about freshly cut peppers, mushrooms, etc. I do like the pizza sauce I think it compliments the other ingredients well. Some sauces at other places can be very overbearing but not here. Today they had a rib special which we also tried. Ribs were cooked extremely well. The slab itself was great quality. Very meaty with Minimal fat and gristle on the bones which I appreciate. The ribs also had a nice little char on them which is key in my opinion for BBQ. Sauce it quality as well; perfect amount of sweet with a nice tangy finish! Though I took the order to go I do enjoy the atmosphere. The place is clean and has that family feel to it! As you walk in you'll notice the big menu boards straight ahead which is where you place your order and pick up the food. They have a few high boy tables and seating situated along the left wall. On ur way out make sure to grab some gelato! They have a nice variety of flavors to choose from as you can see from the pic I posted! They have seating outside to the right of the building to enjoy you meal or scoop of gelato with a nice fountain in the middle. The customer service has always been great at joeys and today was no different! Stopped in after dinner tonight to grab some gelato for the family and brought it back to Roselle! The gelato is among if not the best I've had! Great variety of flavors and always seem to have something new every time I come in!

The pizza was delicious! 1/4 of a family/large pizza plus a can of pop for $5. The Mac n' cheese pasta was enough for two people. Homemade gelato, at least two dozen flavors. Will definitely be back for more.

OK--I've been popping into Joey's for years to grab a great, sloppy double-cheeseburger or hotdog. The place has grown incrementally, from a fast-food stand to a sprawling take-out with plenty of parking and outdoor dining. I was skeptical when they put added a whole new building dedicated to Italian fare and gelato, but wow, they continue to delight. After hearing some good things, I decided to try the pizza and I'm glad I did. Tired of paying way too much for premium pizza? I ordered a Chicago-style, (thin-crust) 18" all-pepperoni, (on top) and 1/2 sausage and paid $19 and change. The crust was tasty and with a nice chew. Sauce was tangy but not overpowering or too sweet. Toppings were delicious and substantial. Overall? Great pizza at a crazy low price and well-worth the drive!

I bank in the corner, and have shopped and at in this plaza for decades, and some, just haven't SEEN it! I was in the mood for an Italian beef sandwich, and what I got was delicious - the bread it was served on was especially good: soft, with a brush of butter on top - yumm! But the reason for my review: The FRIES were AMAZING! Fries are not the most wholesome food you can get, so when I eat them, I want them to be WORTH IT! These OH-SO-WERE! Hot, crispy outside, soft inside (a "full" fry - smaller than steak fries, bigger than what McD's serves) with just a hint of salt. PERFECT!! The portion was large enough that I ate them all the way home, with my RC cola (what nostalgia!), and still had some left when I got there for my sandwich! Now I'm gonna have to go back to try their pizza, and the soups others rave about, and the desserts that look scrumptious! Despite living in town for a few years, I didn't try Pizza Pete until recently. I think a review I…read moreread here or elsewhere was talking about how the sauce was sweet and they liked it as a result... I hate overly sweet pizza sauce. Anyway, our regular rotation is Fox's and Barracos on Harlem. Fox's is the favorite pizza, Barracos is second and I usually go with them lately because online ordering for Fox's is wonky and I hate calling busy takeout places and trying to shout down the line what I want. Pete has an easy online ordering system with toasttab. I got sausage, pepperoni and mushroom, thin of course. If you can't make that right there's no reason to go back Positives - The pie arrived so hot it seemed to have come right from the oven. - Good amount of toppings, not cheap with them but not excessive either. - Cheese is good quality! So many places use cheap weird cheese, not Pete's. - The sauce was not overly sweet or too heavy on fennel. - Delivery was pretty quick. - The price was good, a bit less than Barracos. The crust was good, though more chewy than Fox's. My partner didn't love that although I thought it was fine. It helped keep the sauce from soaking through and making a mess during delivery. I think Pete will be in the rotation now!

The supervisor who approached our table had a very nonchalant and dismissive attitude when addressing our concerns. Instead of handling the situation professionally, it felt like our concerns were brushed off. When I Annette attached the semi-owner, Fox, the situation became even more uncomfortable. During the interaction, he asked what nationality the supervisor was. That question felt completely inappropriate and came across as discriminatory. It had nothing to do with the situation and made the entire experience very uncomfortable. What made the situation even more frustrating is that we told them we were willing to pay for our food, but they removed it from the bill anyway. Despite everything, our server was actually excellent--professional, attentive, and very kind. I made sure to still leave her a tip because she did a great job and did not deserve to be associated with the poor attitude displayed by management. Unfortunately, the behavior and attitude of the supervisor and semi-owner left a very negative impression. Management should represent professionalism and respect, and that was not the experience we had. I hope ownership seriously addresses how situations like this are handled in the future. Ant K.

This particular spot sits in a strip mall but do not let that fool you. Inside, it is honestly one of the best decorated locations I have ever walked into. They went with this raw industrial pump station theme that looks awesome. Even the bathroom tiles are set at crazy angles that make you question your own balance. Enough about the restrooms, though. We walked right in right at peak dinner rush, and they still seated us quickly. Our server, Sandy, got drinks going immediately. I always need a local pour when I am in the area, so I grabbed an Anti Hero IPA from Revolution Brewing on draft. The crisp piney bitterness and solid head on the pour was the exact reset I needed after hours behind the wheel. Next up came the signature Malnati Salad. It landed on the table fast and tasted incredibly fresh. That savory crunch from the premium salami bits paired up beautifully with the tangy gorgonzola. It was the perfect start. For the main event, we ordered the Chicago Classic deep dish on the famous buttercrust. It actually came out quicker than the usual deep-dish wait time. Truth be told, the pie felt a little skimpy on the toppings and cheese this time around. I know this pizza well, and this specific one was just a bit weak on the execution. The flavor was absolutely there because that buttery crust and bright vine ripened tomato sauce never miss but I wanted more weight to it. I noticed online they have been running a hot honey special lately, and I almost wish I had added that for a little extra kick. Even with a slightly thin pizza, the visit was great. Sandy was an absolute rock star. The table right next to us was being seriously unkind to her for no good reason, but she stayed totally professional and knocked our service completely out of the park. She got us fed and back on the road feeling good.

Whereas some restaurants make you get two of the exact same thing I was able to get two different dinners I chose the chicken tetrazzini and the chicken cacciatore. I also chose to get soup which is an add-on, which was cream of potato, their cucumber, tomato, and onion salad. Would you buy by the pint and with the dinners I added it on a salad, which I know was an up charge, but I really don't know how much extra it was now for the food. It arrived and under an hour and everything was hot as though I ate it there, which is very unusual for most of my deliveries anywhere. The individual salads are a good size and the lettuce looked fresh. It also is garnished with onion and cherry tomatoes. The potato soup was on the thick side. I would prefer it a little thinner, but I was saving it for another day so I'll just send it out before I reheat it. The cucumber, tomato onion salad could've used a little more dressing sometimes it's gotten a lot more sitting in the bottom, but this time it wasn't. The chicken and the chicken cacciatore was too nice sized chicken breast sitting on a bed of mostaccioli with the kids to sauce, which is a tomato based wine sauce with green peppers, mushrooms, and onions. I don't eat mushrooms or green peppers so I had the moment however the chicken was so tender and tasty. It was one of the best things I've had in a long time. The chicken tetrazzini I was saving for the next day meal, but just for sake of argument I wanted to taste it because sometimes I wait till another day when I've ordered something and then find out somethings wrong with it. This two was a good portion. It was a nice amount of sauce to noodles. This chicken is diced, and this two has mushrooms and onions in it however, again I left the mushrooms out and then it has a thin layer of mozzarella cheese melted across the top. For everything I got I thought it was a good deal the portion sizes one dinner would've been enough for two people. The chicken Ketura easily could've fed two people. The chicken tetrazzini could as well, especially if you have a salad or soup as a side or even the cucumber, tomato onion salad. Their delivery charge is only three dollars, which is a bargain nowadays, but do you have food delivered this hat and fresh was awesome. I've read some of the reviews about people eating at the restaurant. I've beaten at the restaurant. I agree it is a little dated. I've never had an issue with flies anymore so than other restaurants that I've eaten in especially during summer months service has been good. I've enjoyed their pizza on Mondays. It's 25% off.
