Best Rockfish I have ever had. Tender, flaky, with a beautiful sear! Everyone loved their dishes!!

Hostess was a tad rude to us because we called the morning of for our party of 10 and only one waitress was on duty. Joy our Waitress was friendly and attentive for as busy as she was. Food was disappointing - wings were dry, dip and calamari didn't have much seasoning. Potato chowder was good and the peppers in the calamari were great! They have a woodfire oven so I tried the pepperoni pizza and it was really good but the pepperonis are spicy- so beware.

Decent crab cakes they also have a pizza oven in the sports bar side. Good selection of brews on tap and broad menu options. Good service and lively for a Monday night !

If I could give zero stars it would be proper today I took my mother for a Mother's Day brunch with my family the cake was stale I have certain dietary restrictions and they had no options that was available for me I voiced this to the manager and he basically told me to fuck off and said it's better to pay the bill then us calling the police on you in the nice way of saying it and then we probably left due to the terrible service $31 plus $10 for gratuity plus tax no more free mimosas expect to pay at least $60 per person for this horrible dining experience and when I said you could bounce the cake off the floor it looked like rubber and he stated well it's been out for a couple hours so I'm not surprised ... Sidenote where was the prime rib/roast beef

I'm all about finding a new spot with a good atmosphere and food to match and this place met our expectations. We both ordered side Caesar salads for starters, which were tasty. Our waitress brought obread with some kind of powder on them.. not my favorite but they weren't bad. Our main courses were amazing! I had the Chicken Chesapeake with Jasmine Rice and steamed broccoli. My boyfriend had the crab cakes with French fries. Our overall experience was great was for our first visit. We'll definitely be making another trip soon.

Fantastic food. Amazing service. Great drinks. Beautiful resturant. I need not say anymore. Highly recommend Johannson's for anything from date night to a night out with the family. I will be coming back here and bringing my friends!!!!

Mother's Day brunch was awful. Food was just terrible, burnt omelettes, dried up prime rib, really nothing good to say about this buffet.

There are also a few annexes, including a cozy upstairs space. The staff is professional and welcoming. Everyone I know loves the beers here, but if you're not a beer fan (like me), no worries. They have wine, canned sodas, and water in a fridge, plus those fun machines with a variety of fruit crushes and even basic full-bar cocktail offerings. To get a drink, you simply order at the long bar or the side window. For those who don't drink alcohol, they also have a fun dirty soda bar to the right of the brewery inside the attached shop, Lucy's Little Red Wagon, where you place separate drink orders. Lucy's is an attraction in and of itself! You can bring your drink inside and browse the cute clothes, stylish jewelry, local snacks, and unique gifts. They have a packed event schedule with live bands, line dancing, trivia nights, cornhole, and all sorts of fun activities. We've met friends here, brought our teenage kids, hosted out-of-town guests, met coworkers after work, and always see plenty of young children running around. They're dog-friendly too! When you're ready to eat, just walk over to The Food Spot through the entrance to Lucy's. You can order at the counter or through the app using the QR codes scattered throughout the brewery. The food is remarkably good and has exceeded our expectations every time. They rotate weekly specials, and have a standing menu. Our favorites have been the huge salads, delicious pizzas, and flavorful flatbreads. Whether you're stopping in for a drink, a meal, live music, or just a relaxing evening with family and friends, Flood Zone has become one of our favorite local spots!

I especially loved the private cabana experience, which made the visit feel extra special and was perfect for a date day, girls' day, birthday, or simply spending a relaxing afternoon enjoying good food and wine. The food was just as memorable. Some of my favorites were the Summer Caesar with citrus-marinated roasted chicken, Cheese & Prosciutto Board, and their wood-fired pizzas. The Zucchini Ricotta with Chesapeake jumbo lump blue crab was such a standout, and the Pepperoni with Hot Honey was another favorite. Definitely save room for dessert! The Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie and Crème Brûlée are both great choices. For wine, I recommend trying one of their wine flights. My personal favorite was The Fav Wines, featuring the 2025 Brine, Riesling, and Petit Manseng. If cocktails are more your style, the Rosé Sangria Spritz and Gold Rush are worth trying too. I also loved the 2025 Honey, which is sweet, nectary, and vibrant. It's a great bottle to take home and continue the experience. Overall, Old Westminster Winery offers much more than just wine. Between the beautiful setting, private cabanas, food, drinks, and welcoming atmosphere, it's easily one of the Maryland wineries I'd recommend visiting. Tip: Book the private cabana if you want to make the experience feel extra special!

The vineyard always will be a beautiful place to enjoy great wine, people watch, enjoy well behaved dogs, and break bread with friends and family. The creation of the patios through and beyond the pandemic was a great move. That piece has been added! We were pleasantly surprised to find The Terrace Kitchen by Chef Tony Castellon delivering an elevated menu with options from homemade chocolate chip cookies to The Amalfi Toast featuring a personal fav boquerones. There are options on that menus that are to die for including veg options as expected. Note: There are chilled vegan options inside ask the desk. We enjoyed the Mediterranean inspired with Japanese twist Char-Siu Skewer with ponzu aioli, and lemon wedge dipped in a (chili, paprika, cumin dust?) was perfect to balance out the skewers. Damn tasty lamb and beef the squeeze of the lemon and spice perfected it. The Crispy Potatoes were a delight, not too heavy or greasy, nice char, and full of flavor delivered by the lardon, green onion, and melted Gruyere . Very satisfying, would order again. The Amalfi Toast is a do not miss IMO. For the uninitiated, boquerones are Spanish white sardine filets cured in acid then packed in olive oil. Unlike the premium salty boney tinned sardines available in the US, the result is a delicate cured white sardine filet over toasted focaccia coated with whipped buffalo milk garlic butter and fresh herbs. Outrageous food my friends, just delicious. Thank you Chef! Your CA roots are showing. The chocolate chip cookies were very good. We missed the duck taco special on the board which I would have tried no matter what. If it was a confit duck taco, well IYKYK. So kudos to Black Ankle Vineyards and Chef Tony Castellon. The future is bright with this new partnership. Looking forward to returning more often to catch live music and enjoy it all. P. S. We were out somewhat in this direction, and there was a Meetup group going here, so we thought to check it out as it's rare we ever go to a winery as it's normally out of the way, more likely of an occurrence when on a vacation. We took some crazy back roads from where we were in western Howard County, through Carroll, & into eastern Frederick County, where Black Ankle is. We went to the bar inside to get wines. I got a white wine; I think Chardonnay, and I think my girlfriend got a sweeter Rose or something like that. Both were delicious, but we preferred our own more. We sat outside in a nice patio area. We were in the hot Sun on that sunny day, but that was cool with me. We learned of a tour going on, which we got in on. The tour guide who wore an Italian flag bowtie was entertaining and informative. We walked around the vineyard, going inside the cooled storage areas, centrifuge area where the wine is mixed, etc. We even saw some of the old wines they had made from years earlier. We saw sheep dogs, which protect the vineyard from pests, which were cute. Overall, this is a high quality winery with plenty of nice outside & inside seating.
