He is also lucky to have exceptionally friendly and professional staff from front office to dental assistant to hygienist - they will all get to know you and treat you like a family. His office in located in a high-rise. So, you will have to die for views of downtown Seattle as you get work done on your teeth. It almost makes you forget you are in that dental chair ;) Dr Marashi and staff, thank you for taking care of my teeth for however many years now. Both were the worst experiences I've had at dentists. I had broken a piece of a filling out. Dr Lee said the tooth needed to be root canal'd and could not be filled. Ok. So he scheduled me a week later to come in for the root canal. He also said the tooth in front was very infected and needed to be de done. He told me to go see the endo next door. (Spoiler. It was the tooth with the cavity that was infected. Not the adjacent one) At the end of October Dr Lee did the root canal. I had to stop in 3 times because I wasn't numb enough and it sent pain down my body. The 3rd time his response was "really, that has to be numb" and then proceeded to tell me not to move anymore because I could touch him with the drill. I'm sorry. You hit the nerve you didn't properly numb and I'm moving. I asked him to put a temp crown on and I'd be back first week of January when my insurance reset. He root canal's the tooth and left filling material on top. No build up. No temp crown. Nothing. The following week my husband went to see him for a routine cleaning. He was told he had 4 teeth that had crowns that needed to be redone and told him to go see the endo next door. He took pictures of his teeth and then left to check on another patient. And for sure did not pull his file back up when he returned. He said his teeth were so full of plaque because he hadn't been to a dentist in so long he'd need a deep cleaning. He asked for just a regular cleaning and was told no. He'd need a deep cleaning and he'd have to schedule that for another visit. He went to a dentist in enumclaw and lo and behold was able to get a regular routine cleaning and all the plaque that was shown to him miraculously was gone at this dentist. Last week I also went to the dentist in Enumclaw to get my crown out on and they had to do a build up. My insurance paid for it back in October even though it wasn't done. So I had to pay out of pocket myself to the tune of $200. Not the new dentists fault. I called Dr lees office and was told that their "notes indicate they did the build up. They did not" Let me save you all a beaches and a ton of $$ and find a different dentist. I'm sure they'll have a response to this that we were terrible patients but I can assure you that is not the case.

Low and behold, Dr. Butterfield was waiting for me. I will start by saying that the front desk staff is absolutely phenomenal!! The ladies are very friendly and easy to converse with. We typically have conversations about family, work, politics, and never are there awkward moments... Their presence is so peaceful, and the smiles in the office really set off a positive environment! The back office staff is extremely friendly, I won't list any favorites because I think all of the ladies are incredible people. I do think that their teamwork enables them to have a successful office, and it is noticed from a consumer stand. The clinical staff are also great at making you feel very comfortable and they are all tentative to each patient. Even down to Remembering conversations from appointment six months ago. Dr. Pam Butterfield is incredible, she is so friendly, so funny, and such a professional. My daughter had braces for 4 years, was a patient of Haeger Orthodontics (Kent/Maple Valley) and this place is night and day in comparison. We were absolutely spoiled with Haeger. Pristera does not open until 8am (so never a before school option), they will not schedule appointments out so if we need to cancel or reschedule it is usually another month wait. They charge for EVERY broken bracket - for kids braces. The cost of son's broken brackets alone by the time we are done will probably be another $1k. There are a lot of very young newer in career assistants and the doctor does not come out (for me anyway) to ever give me an update on my son's progress. Office staff are not friendly. The office in Renton is old, dingy and not cozy at all. Not even coffee or water available while parents wait. Haeger's had fresh baked cookies, Keurig machine, water bottles, ice cream in the summer, iPads and nice clean books for kids waiting, magazines for parents, monthly contests like spirit week where kids could collect coins to cash in at the end of treatment for gifts cards. This place is the same price with none of the above. I'm not even sure they have in office WiFi. I rather sit in my car and use my hotspot. If I wasn't locked into a contract I would absolutely switch to another provider. April 2024 First impression - office lobby (Renton) is dated and dingy. Not even a coffee/water station for parents waiting. 5% discount for paying in full is is a poor discount, most other orthos offered at least 10%. After committing and signing the contract I immediately began having regrets. At the first appointment the doctor and techs did not sound confident in my son's treatment plan. They kept saying we'll try to correct, try to fix. For $7k I was expecting them to be saying we are going to fix his teeth and give him the smile he wants! It's a lot of money to be a gamble, I'd much rather you be honest and say you can either fix his teeth or not. Will update as treatment begins.

SCAMMER ALERT!!…read more Although I am not a patient of Dr. Phan, my mother and siblings were his patients until recently. My mother moved on to a new dentist due to several shady practices by Dr. Phan that accumulated over the years. According to my mother, her new dentist recommended the extraction of one of her problem teeth that had been bothering her for quite some time. However, when they submitted the paperwork to the insurance company for approval, they were told that Dr. Phan had already billed the insurance company for the extraction of the same tooth, which was clearly untrue. In addition, my sister was charged over $2,000 for a "deep clean" that lasted less than 30 minutes. Furthermore, my mother and sister were often overcharged, and their cleaning services were always too short. Both my mother's new dentist and I have urged her to report Dr. Phan's malpractice, but she did not want the hassle. So, I am sharing this review in the hope that it can help others avoid being scammed.

It's just the two of them, and they have seen us through cleanings, fillings, root canals and wisdom teeth. They don't have state of the art equipment, and Dr. Phan refers out for oral surgery, but she will provide great primary dentistry. She's wonderful with kids, very soft spoken and soothing. Dan is a riot - he never fails to make me smile. And the best part is that I have never had a painful experience - even after the novocaine wore off after a root canal, I didn't hurt at all. One thing worth mentioning is that the treatment I was given had a "poor prognosis" as in I might have opted to have the tooth pulled rather than get the crown that may only last for 5 years. I was not told until after the treatment.
