Dr. Kotis was great. I had a breast augmentation with him (355cc boost implants) and I feel great. During the consultation, he sat and listened to my concerns and specific needs, tailoring a plan that worked for me while still offering his professional advice. With his lot of experience, he showed me past work similar to my goals, which made it the best consultation I've had. He reassured me regarding his techniques and fast recovery, all of which turned out to be true. I felt so comfortable that I booked my appointment right away and had the surgery the following week. I am now post-surgery and my breasts look like me, but better. I highly recommend him, along with his staff, especially Kari who was very nice, and the anesthesiologist who was also great. My pain was 4/10 when I first got home, but after taking my medicine, it stayed at a 0. Having zero pain was amazing, and although I have extreme soreness, he was definitely soft with me. I also wish I had seen the reviews beforehand. His facial stitching work was uneven and sloppy, and continues to degrade 2 years later. But much worse than the cosmetic disappointment is that I lost 100% hearing and developed severe tinnitus in one ear immediately following the procedure. Dr. Kotis never even met with me when I tried to arrange follow up meetings to discuss these concerns. He was always coincidentally sick or out of town at the time of each appointment, and instead had his associates meet with me, who of course insisted my problems were totally unrelated to his surgery. Went to Dr. Kotis for surgery. I wish I had read all of the reviews. He did an uneven job. Plus ended up with swelling, internal bleeding and scar tissue that was so unsightly after it healed. He promised he would fix it, and I never heard from him after repeated calls to the office. A year later, ended up going to a large hospital downtown and had a phenomenal plastic surgeon who fixed it- except for the large scar from Kotis that I cannot remove. I had the worst experience at Dr Kotis' office. I had a dimpleplasty done on both of my cheeks in August of 2022. Today, my left cheek does not have a dimple and my right cheek has a small hole right in my smile line that is visible when I don't smile and disappears when I do smile. It ages me and looks absolutely horrible. Then I was talked into getting three Morpheus8 treatments and was sold some products by Anxhelina. These skincare products cost me over $350, I did not need them and two of them burned my sensitive skin. When I came in for my second treatment a month later I was told Anxhelina was fired for selling patients products that they did not need. When I shared my similar experience, nobody addressed it with me. They didn't offer me any money back, they didn't offer to exchange my products for something else, nothing. I received my next two treatments of Morpheus and a year later, my skin looks worse than it did before I had the Morpheus8 done. It melted fat in my skin and now my face is sagging. They told me it would tighten my skin and it just did just the opposite. I wasted over $4600 here. After posting my first review on Google reviews, the office contacted me the next day and offered me a free Morpheus treatment if I took my review down. Why would I let them touch my face when they already ruined it? I told Jenny I wanted my money back for the skincare I bought. She said Zo would not give me my money back because it had been more than two years since I purchased it. I told her it had only been 15 months. She replied by saying I was correct and the return policy is actually, if the products are opened they can't be returned. Wrong again. Zo offers a 30 money back guarantee on their website, whether the products are opened or not. But it wasn't Zo's fault I was pressured to buy products that weren't good for my face, it was Dr Kotis'. So they should be the ones refunding me. She then said she got the go ahead to let me return the products and they would refund me. I emailed Jenny three times asking her what would be done with the products if I returned them since they were opened as they shouldn't be used on anyone else's skin. She never responded. I would absolutely NEVER recommend Dr Kotis or his practice to anyone! The fact that they tried bribing me to remove my negative review makes me wonder how many other people they've done this to. This place really is just about money. I scheduled a consultation, less than 20 minutes later I saw all the bad reviews and decided to cancel. The person I spoke with said I wasn't charge yet and will cancel my appointment. Later that day someone else called to find out why I canceled, I was honest and told her I saw the Yelp reviews and needed to do more research. She suggested I do more research and get back to her. Well, I must say it has to be all about the $! First of all I had a bad experience before my surgery and had put $6,000 down and because I cancelled my surgery due to an injury which was a contusion to my head, Dr. Kotis wrote me a letter telling me I would not get my $ back! At that point, it was either get the surgery or lose my $! Fast forward, I scheduled a visit to meet with him and he assured me he could do a great job on my neck, now its almost 7 months later after the surgery and it looks horrible! Sagging and terrible! Before I posted this I sent him an email explaining how I was dissatisfied and waited 2 weeks, no reply! He must of went in one of his 20 vacations for when I would call he was on vacation! If I could I would give zero stars. This guy does sloppy work and only cares about the money. I sustained a GSW to my left hand and he wants to claim he "saved my hand" when in reality he hadn't, he caused more permanet damage. I had to get my wound repaired and cared at another facility with a different plastic surgeon. The permanet damage he caused won't be fixed, but im glad the new surgeon was able to heal and really save the rest of my hand. read more

He is horrible. Very sloppy and unprofessional. I had a procedure done by him and my results are disappointing, and when you tell him your concerns he just brushes them off and barely acknowledges what you're saying to him. You can also hear him yelling in his office at his staff when you're waiting in the exam room. His only motive is money. He pushes other procedures and surgeries on you so he can make more money. You might not feel insecure about something until he tells you you should fix something. His staff is also always changing.....doesn't seem like people want to work for him. He has some good results, but a lot of bad ones too. He's not a plastic surgeon with finesse which is what you want when it comes to getting a cosmetic procedure. From Rose who graciously answered every question and every phone call I made, to Yvonne, the medical assistant who was at every appointment helping me, to Kristy, the first assist in the OR, to finally last but not least, Dr. Kotis. As someone who is a member of the LGBTQ community and chose to have top surgery, it was imperative that I had a surgeon who not only did great work, but understood my situation and wanted to make me feel comfortable with every aspect. I'd been seeing Dr Kotis for Botox and juviderm for years. He usually had a sale 1-2 times a year and I'd buy "banks" and what I thought was a discount. On my last 3 visits I've been less than happy. First, I swear, the staff had completely changed every time I'm there. The last receptionist didn't even know who I was talking about when I asked if the MA still worked there (since I hadn't seen her.) Second, the waits have gotten long. Five years ago I was usually seen in 5-10 minutes. Lately it's more like 30, and no one seems to know what's going on. Third, during my 30 minute waits, both in the waiting room and exam room, I've been hearing a lot of loud, disparaging words from Dr Kotis to his staff. It's very embarrassing to hear him yelling at someone "are you always this stupid? Get out of my sight!" And then pretending I didn't hear anything when he comes in the exam room. Finally, the last straw came recently when a friend and I were talking about our different plastic surgeons. Dr Kotis usually charged me $14 or $15 a unit for my Botox, and if I bought it bulk it was like $11 or $12. My neighbor only pays $10 a unit regularly! I think I have some units left in my "bank" but he can just keep them because I'm not going back. read more

I was researching for quite a while and being a medical professional myself, I was very particular about each aspect of this process. Preop, surgery, post op was clean, professional, caring, precise. Dr Kotis claims to be a hand surgeon but if you need more than a cosmetic skin procedure then see a real orthopedic surgeon which he is NOT! I had to endure a second surgery on my hand because of his incompetence. My second surgery by a qualified ortho surgeon was successful and the issue completely resolved. The ortho surgeon explained that Kotis did not know what he was doing. By default Kotis receives one star but in reality he should receive a FAIL. As well his office knowingly over billed me and would not return my credit without a threat of legal action. My advice is to avoid. read more

After a visit to the emergency room due to a hand injury, I was referred to the Center for Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery to see Dr. John Kotis. I called the next morning to make an appointment and to my surprise, I was able to get in that same day! Dr. Kotis is AMAZING. He's very kind and explained everything going on with my hand and what the exact course of treatment was going to be. I ended up having to have hand Occupational Therapy which took place right at the office as Dr. Kotis has a hand therapist that comes in two days a week. It was incredibly convenient. The entire staff at the Center for Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery are amazing. They always have a smile on their faces and remember you by the second time you come into the office.
