First my credentials: Im U.S. Navy retired with service of 20 years. At the peak of my career I supervised up to 25 Electronic Technicians. Our jobs to conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on electronic equipment such as Communications, Radar and Navigation on U.S. Navy warships , Naval Communications stations and Naval Stations. Now my review of this John Cho State Farm on 3520 College Blvd, Ste 104 Oceanside, 92056. My car insurance payment was $240.25 every 15th of each month the latest on Dec 15, 2025. I had a thought to check my car insurance policy and discover my costs were tremendously increased to $459.08 to be collected starting Jan 15, 2026. They tried bill this huge increase without notifying me pulling a fast one. I call John Cho's State Farm office and talked to his office assistant on Jan 13, 2026 to point out this obsence finding . There was surprise revealed in her voice and she told me she will move quickly and find out why this is so. On Jan 15, 2026 at 5pm there was no return call. I revisted their website and discovered that fraud was taken place that the Jan 15, 2026 bill of $459.08 was erased and back dated to Dec 30, 2025. This worded on this date the $459.08 bill was scheduled . This was viewed by me Jan 14, 2026. Then today Jan 15th the wording of $459.08 on Dec 30th was changed again to include the words a notice of $459.08 was sent out to me which didnt happen and on Jan 15, 2026 that a payment was of $459.08 was received which this also didnt happen. Cause of violation of fair business practice to notify the insured of a substantial increase in car insurance cost and fraudulent rewording of that it was done in their website which is false and also false information about change in billing dates I immediately notify my bank to block permanently any attempt to collect car insurance payments by State Farm violations which are reportable to the BBB, State Dept of Insurance and the NICB. So John Cho had pick the wrong person to put this fraud and trick to think that he could fool a U.S. Navy retired military veteran . Pass the word ,..make sure to check your car insurance and home insurance premiums cause this office tends to wrong even their own customers. Pass the word,..do not obtain State Farm insurance . read more

We have been provided excellent insurance coverage for car and home by members of John Cho's State Farm team for more than a decade. Most of our interactions have been with Sandy Warren, who has been extraordinarily good in terms of excellent advice in choosing plans best for us, and also in obtaining compensation after an unidentified driver crashed into our parked car and departed without leaving name or contact information. Sandy also helped us negotiate state regulations, and indeed acted on our behalf with the DMV whenever she could. We feel very fortunate. -- Doug, Borrego Springs read more

They won't work on your behalf and will tell you to call the adjuster. Why bother with an agent? The owner is argumentative, and it's hard to communicate with him. read more

STOP RIGHT HERE, because you are in the right spot. I've been with John Cho since he has been at this Oceanside location. How long as that been, John, 25+ years? John has serviced my insurance coverage for countless automobiles, motorcycles, campers, home, earthquake, personal liability, etc. John even started my kids' policies when they were old enough to start driving - and rental insurance when they got their first appartments. There are two main reasons I keep coming back to John. 1) John's got my back - and your REALLY need that when your back is against the wall and you need someone in your corner. Automobile accidents are no joke. They can get messy, complicated, legal, emotional, etc. A good agent needs to be an advisor and a friend. John is that experienced advisor. 2) Sandy, one of John's associates. She is the 'friend' in the equation. You will NOT find a better person ANYWHERE. I cannot sing enough praises for Sandy. So, stop looking. You have found the agent you have been looking for! read more

If I could give them 0 starts I would! They are liars and the worst customer service. I called them 3 times in the course of 2 months requesting my declarations page and each time they told me they would order it and still never received it. I called the 800 number to request it and they were able to help me out more than what they were willing to do. What is the point of having a local agent if they can't help me out?! read more

Wow, to start off I just want to say Thank You to John Cho for being a wonderful insurance agent, and a truly kind human being. They say that with insurance, it's better to have it and not need it... Than to need it and not have it- although there is more to it by knowing John Cho... because he legitimately cares about your well being and makes any situation better because you feel safe, and looked out after.
