I was a former patient of Dr. Ishibashi's until the last time I showed up they were about two hours behind schedule and didn't even bother telling me. The only reason why I found out is because I heard that the person who was supposed to get in at 3 o'clock was asking at 4 o'clock what time they were finally going to get in. I then asked how many people were in front of me and she said she would get back to me so I asked again after about 10 minutes passed and she finally had to admit how behind they were. Coming to Dr. Maanum's office is amazing. The front desk girl Yazmin is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Maanum also has very good customer service. He took his time with me and answered all of my questions and even let me know that the contacts that I have been wearing for years actually came out with two or three different upgrades. I had no idea that those upgrades even existed and he wasn't trying to sell me at all but I agreed that I wanted to switch. Parking is not bad at all there's plenty of street parking and I am happily going to come back every year now. I love that this office is reliable and efficient. read more

As someone who is often forgetful about when to book appointments I loved that they sent a postcard saying it had been a year since the last appointment and I also enjoyed that when I did book an appointment they texted me the information to confirm. Also, even though I was quite early for the appointment and had expected to wait, they were able to start the tests making everything very quick and efficient. Dr. Maanum and his staff are excellent! My boyfriend and I have been coming here for maybe 3 years now. Jasmine, is one of the most friendly/funny staff members ever! She has put up with me making my BF try on every single pair of frames in their office, which is a lot since they have a huge selection. She always makes us feel welcome and is very knowledgeable about our insurance plans and the different contact/frame brands. She is bubbly/energetic and you can really tell that she loves being there. I just had an appointment a couple of days ago, and asked her when my BF's next appointment was. I was surprised that she remembered his last name without me telling her. This is definitely a neighborhood gem! Dr. Maanum is genuinely caring and very knowledgeable. His equipment is clean and very advanced. If you hate that air puffer shot into your eyes, then you need to go here because they have new equipment that eliminates that. He is current on the latest contact technology and will let you try out new kinds of contacts to suit your needs. He is very thorough in his exam and can easily answer all of my questions. Also, I always like to opt for the extra recommended photos to be taken of my eyes, which the doctor reviews with me to make sure my eyes are healthy. He and his office are tech savvy; files and patient history is all electronic. They are on FB and also send out occasional email tips/news. Making an appointment is also very easy. They mail a postcard and send an email reminder. Then if you change your appointment, you will also receive an email confirmation/reminder. Top notch operation. I am waaaay squeemish about my eyes, and they were able to do the glaucoma test without me even noticing it. I was surprised and delighted. Then it was time to pick out a new set of frames. They had a wide selection and the team was so helpful to me in landing on a decision - and so patient with me going back and forth on my decision. Dr Maanum offers an excellent service including a selection of the latest high-end fashion frames and the ability to have the lab engineer lens that work. I went to Dr. Maanum after reading all the great reviews online and on this website. He was in network with both of my insurances and did a great job. he was very calm and patient and was sure to ask me if I had any questions and explained everything to me and showed me all the pictures of my eyes and shared my results with me right there. I found easy free street parking across from the ralph's on beverwil across from his office. be aware that if you have your eyes dilated for the test that you won't be able to see ANYTHING clearly. I tried to go to ralph's to pick up some groceries but couldn't read my shopping list on my phone and was unable to even read the total price on the screen. It made me feel exactly what people with poor vision or blind people feel! wow. It was however safe for me to drive home (1 mile). It made me incredible tired as well. I ended up sleeping for 5 hours when I got home hahahaha. maybe it's just me that it had that effect on but be sure that if you have this procedure done, you most likely will not be able to do ANYTHING the rest of the day. I will definitely return here for my annual Davis Vision eye exam. read more
