The website isn't just for show, him (his office) actually use it. Even though I'm not a young millennial that needs to do all my business via tech I am a tech nerd so millennials will find the website very useful. Office is a beautiful small one story building with parking in the back. During the pandemic the office provides face masks at reception if you happen to be a Karen and conveniently forget your mask. Office also provides hand sanitizer during these trying times in an effort to protect patients. Exam room is very large, spacious and equipped with the finest eye tech for our modern time. Jedi Master Dr Franco is absolutely amazing in his empathy for his patients. If eye glasses are required the office is equipped with a beautifully elegant room with eye glass frames displayed on multiple walls where you can indulge in picking your new look (upgrade or otherwise). If you are in the area and in need of a great optometrist this office is significantly better than any of the franchise eye centers you find at the mall. Don't shop retail but instead shop premium with Dr. Rossi. They also take vision insurance so call ahead if you have insurance.

I call this type of service "taking the client hostage." I asked to have my older set of glasses tinted for use as sun glasses. His response: "Your prescription is expired, I'll have to ask the doctor." My response: "NY state law does not require an annual exam, I guess I'll have to ask Dutchess Optometry in Red Hook to help me." I called and asked the desk clerk for a copy of my 1-year old prescription: Her response: "Your prescription is expired." My response: "It is NY state law that I am entitled to a copy of my prescription, I use it for my own medical records to chart changes in my vision, you are required to give me a copy." Her response: "We will have to write expired on it" My response: "You can write whatever you like on it, as long as the prescription is legible, you know, the prescription THAT I PAID FOR!" Find somewhere else....they will not receive my repeat business.

The old man just wanted a different case for his glasses and she scoffed at him and started walking away talking sh*t about him. He explains every step and provides care with kindness and compassion. You are not just a number in this office. You are seen as a person and you are not rushed. Dr. Collins takes his time providing your eye care, which is appreciated. He has been our optometrist for over 20 years. My husband and I had seen several other optometrists prior, and none ever took the time that he does to perform eye exams and get it all exactly right. He strives for perfection. Penny is great in managing everything from making you feel welcome, checking eye pressure, measuring for frames, providing information about and handling insurances and managing paperwork and everything else in the office, we patients don't even realize, behind the scenes. She is very knowledgeable, always upbeat and respectful. and helps you to pick the best frames! Always trust her to measure for the glasses. Will not go anywhere else for our optometry care.
