This company presents itself in a dishonest way and that made it hard to even find this entity to review. They posit themselves as "Simplify Your DUI" and contact you after a driving offense. A salesman will call you and then you'll eventually talk to John, who claims that doing this service is part of his penance for his own past. He claims that Simplify is an advocacy group and makes those who are confused and scared about their situation feel at ease and like they'll coast through the process under his guidance. The first "service" provided after paying Simplify your $300 is to provide your SR-22 insurance, which is done through none other than the owner's insurance company, which you only find out after looking at your bank transactions. They do contact an interlock device company, but if you're in this situation, you get enough mailers about it to not need this. They did recommend a mandatory class, but did so after the deadlines they were ostensibly getting me ahead of and "simplifying", so I could not use it and had to find my own through the DMV. After taking your money, it's impossible to get a hold of John, which would be fine if literally anybody else you can call had any power or ability to do anything besides take down a credit card number. They all say you have to talk to John. I'll stop short of calling this a scam. YMMV. But it just to me seems like a front for an insurance company by someone who's had a few DUIs. I think they rely on people being too embarrassed and ashamed to call this out in a public place. Im not too keen on that part, but I think it needs to be known, and if adding "Simplify Your DUI" to this review adds it to the Google algorithm to be searchable for scams, I'm happy to provide that context. read more

Shady as they come! Mr. MacDonald is a scammer along with his team. I was contacted by John for my driving offense (didn't contact him he contacted me) I was given a whole speech of how he will help me and set me all up. Well, John's assistants have very broken English and cannot even give correct information like a phone number -- I was given 4 numbers that did not connect to services. Clint and Bella are the assistants who called me and they just simply go trying to find classes and can't even succeed in doing their job. Then I was hooked up with insurance and acted like it was a 3rd party in all it was his office posing as a different company name. Mr. Macdonald took $300 from me for nothing he did nothing for me. Then he set me up with this insurance who took $350. When I came down to me contacting the insurance company they only needed $50 to start my policy! The charge on my account is "John MacDonald" and his insurance agent "Maura Lockridge" works for him! They thought they had me fooled until I looked into things because like I said he did not help me but he sure took my money! Be aware and do not do business with these losers. Mr. MacDonald said he will refund me and wants me to sign this agreement (probably so he is clear of any wrong doing) the bank will take care of that so I don't have to sign for this scam artist! I may have saved a little bit of money by taking out a policy through John MacDonald but I think ultimately the individuals I dealt with were shady. They seemingly take advantage of people in a vulnerable position and once the dust settled, I didn't feel good about having engaged in services through this agency. The responsiveness decreased over time and I think you're better off dealing with a more reputable insurance company. I was still able to get an OK policy through Geico. Do NOT use this SCAMMERS!!!! They take advantage of businesses they get from do you are lawyers, etc. for SR 22. I trusted them and wasn't shopping for you insurance and thought they would tell me when I didn't have to pay for my SR 22 anymore. Long story short, they have ripped me off For SR 22 that was no longer needed because they decided not to tell me and continue to just bill me and give me extra insurance that was no longer needed and then I continued to have regular insurance with them just to find out that I've been basically been ripped off 50% the WHOLE TIME I WAS INSURED WITH THEM. They will not respond to your emails and lie to you and say they don't check their emails daily what kind of business is this? I was insured through this company for several years. The only complaint I had was the ridiculous requirement to buy the unwanted, but mandatory and never used "Dent Pro" coverage in order to secure an auto policy. Absurd. Otherwise they were fine. However, the moment I wanted to cancel, *POOF!* they were gone. Written requests to cancel were ignored, as were emails to their main service address as well as emails to the rep I used previously. I finally called and got someone on the phone who cancelled my policy and emailed me a confirmation. Shortly after, I received a refund for the unused policy period from the carrier, but it was well short of what it should have been. I contacted the person at JMAC who had helped me cancel, but now I was ignored by her as well. More emails, more written requests, completely unresponsive. Contacting carrier directly, maybe they will help. JMAC obviously isn't. Customer service stops once the check is cashed. read more

Do not use them. They are dishonest, hard to get ahold of, rude, and don't care if they take advantage. These are all qualities you do not want with your insurance. They will overcover you so they will make more money. They always say they will call back but if you give them times you cannot be reached, you can guarantee they will call you during that time. I had a terrible experience with this company. Since I already had coverage through them I asked for their suggestions on a bike I wanted to purchase. I explained I wasn't familiar with a non op coverage and asked if they would break it down for me so I could understand. Once I bought the bike, I received different information than our first conversation, stating that I still needed coverage but that they would get me the minimum. When I discussed the price options for a non-operationg vehicle I was told that I was paying 6 months upfront and they took my payment immediately over the phone. Then I received a bill the following month. When I called back I asked why the insurace was so much and did I need the coverage since I'm not using the bike. They insisted, so I kept what I thought was non-op insurance but I asked for them to resend the paperwork. There was no follow up. Last week I sat down with another company and they told me that I didn't need insurance, and I'm paying way too much. So for the third time I called and spoke with a manager. This time I was very frustrated, which I feel is reasonable after many conversations with them. I got a lot of attitude from her. She stated I didn't need the coverage at all and that I've paid over $600 for nothing. I will never return to them and suggest if you decide to use them, ask if you need the coverage they offer. I feel that they took advantage of my lack of knowledge on the situation and it was deceitful not to give the full story so they could keep the account. read more

Started our policy in 2013 with this company looking for a better insurance rate. Had a policy for two vehicles and in April of 2016 wanted a quote on a new policy for the new vehicle we just got. Not much of an undertaking but this turned into a disaster when they changed our "Policy" instead of giving a quote... Turned the tables on us making it an obligation to do there job of reporting between them and our insurance company. Big headache! Staff is very evasive and rude.
