Horrible customer service. AAA dispatched to have my gf's car towed. We have a joint AAA Plus account. The ticket was created in her name and she had to leave for work. Driver shows up, wouldn't take the vehicle since she wasn't there. I asked him to wait while I called AAA but he said no. They'll dispatch another driver. He left. Phone call to AAA took 2 minutes. Had to wait an hour for another driver, and thankfully from another tow company (Quality towing). Avoid Johnathan's towing. read more

The dispatcher answered the phone promptly. I had the technician at my home within 20 minutes of the call. I was kept abreast of the call via text and a location map for the assistance vehicle. NORRIS was very knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. He diagnosed the problem as dead batteries (2). He had only one on his truck, so he went back to home base to get another one. The whole repair process took about one hour. It saved my day and I had enough time to get some stuff at the Cousin's Maine Lobster food truck and go to the beach in the early afternoon! read more

Their entire purogative is to scam people, The car crashed 4 miles away they claimed they spent 4 entire hours going to and back from the crash, they charge $650 a night for an upright car but another towing company had the turned over car was just $300/n apparently. We finally received the paper work after 4 days and were able to pick up the car but according to the person on the phone "we're closed so we will charge you a $200 gate fee" yet they were clearly open read more

You can add me to the list of people who were treated poorly by person with poor communication skills who also happens to have zero interpersonal skills. For example, she was trying to say, "I need to call AAA and verify your purchase." What she actually said was, "How I verify?" I don't know how to answer her questions about how she should do her job. What makes it even worse is when you ask her to repeat things because she is so difficult to understand she gets angry. And because she has no idea how bad her communication is she just assumes that the person is stupid. At this point she starts speaking more slowly and is condescending. So now you still cannot understand anything she is saying and it takes twice as long because now she is speaking more slowly. Furthermore, I'm not even sure with perfect communication if she is even competent. She quoted me a price of $70 and it was actually $75. And why would you put someone with terrible communication skills, a short temper, and a bad attitude in a position dealing with the public. It is a recipe for disaster. The one sparkle on this turd though was the technician that helped me. Norris did a fantastic job. I was actually on the phone with AAA trying to find a different company to help me after the terrible experience with the dispatcher. Unfortunately my car experienced some braking problems and I pulled over. After calling AAA, I was sent a driver who arrived really quickly. Since it was chilly, he had me sit in the truck while he loaded my car on the flat bed. Drove my car and I to the dealership as requested. The surprising part to me, my driver was super sweet, really nice and made sure everything was placed perfectly and my car was put in the right spot. Greeted my daughter who picked me up and was sincerely nice. What started out as a difficult and scary situation (car brakes) turned into an event where I was really happy and thankful for the experience. Horrible company, and even worse staff. Jeff the manager is completely incompetent and does not care about the customer. They took advantage of a young woman and an elderly woman. The call went out to AAA and they sent Jonathan's towing, when he got there he hooked up the car and then informed them they overrode the AAA call and now we would have to pay them 275 dollars to tow their car just a few miles. He refused to drop the car which was on private property until they paid the bill. This is a case of fraud, I called and filed a complaint to AAA and filed the necessary paperwork with the BBB. I will be taking them to small claims court. I hope this company gets dropped as a subcontractor from AAA. Save yourself the headache and refuse service from Jonathan's towing. Let me tell you, I called AAA for the first time in years (22 year member) and they dispatched Mike at Jonathan's Towing for me in Vista today. Not only did Jonathan's Towing Dispatcher call me sever times to give me updates they showed up in less time than quoted. Mike was the tow truck operator and he knew it was the Friday before Christmas and Ford wouldn't be able to look at my truck until the middle of next week if I was lucky. It was a security alarm issue obviously and he did everything he could to try to get it to reset and not have to take me to Ford for possibly a week long adventure. Two weeks ago, I left my car at a local train station for 4 days. When I returned, the battery was completely dead. I called AAA roadside service and they sent a Johnathan's Towing (Battery Service) truck. The driver hooked up his machine to the battery and said that the battery was bad and needed to be replaced. He even gave me a printout with a cute little graphic that indicated "replace battery". He conveniently had a truck full of assorted batteries that he could sell me. My battery was a Sears Die Hard and was only a year old and since it was still under warranty, I told him I was going to take it back to Sears. He tried to tell me that Sears was out of business (last ditch effort to sell me a battery?). Sears is in financial trouble but not our of business yet. The next morning I took the battery to Sears. They charged and tested it and it's fine...no replacement necessary. I waited for 2 weeks to make sure that the battery held the charge before I posted this review. AAA roadside assistance unfortunately contracts with Johnathans Towing. First experience with this towing agency the driver accused me of attempting to steal the vehicle and just left. Second time my vehicle was in the center of a busy street after striking the center divider. Your driver arrived and was not equipped with the correct truck. It was no secret you were coming to tow a car that sits low to the ground. And instead of helping me your driver left me standing there on the center divider of Rancho Del Oro without any alternative options. I explained to him that my telephone battery was empty. He was heartless and simply terrified at the thought of towing that car. It was cold and I slept right there in the middle of the street inside the car that night with out having any means to search for an alternative or being able to inform my wife where I was. So your damn right I was mad cause I knew what my situation was going to be like that night and I clearly explained it to your driver and got no love at all. Then the third time I need to use my AAA This towing company has me on black list and there the only company AAA uses. Your a horrible person whoever you are that answers the phone when calling Johnathans Towing. What did I ever do to you? You have hurt me to many times. Someone is going to pay some sort price for this. My story goes deeper as to how Johnathans Towing has negatively impacted my life to a point that this easy going guy has a new focus and that is seeing to it that this company pays a price for what hurt they so easily dish out. I have been a long time member of AAA. When ever I have had problems with my car, like the other night the starter went out, Jonathan's towing has always been there to help me. At first we thought it was the battery so they sent out a truck with a wonderful gentleman named fatty. He check the battery and it was fine and then he looked all over to try to find out what else would be wrong and decided it was the starter and my car had to be towed. He stayed with me, since I was in a very dark place, until the tow truck arrived. I wish I had gotten the name of the tow truck driver because he was equally as kind and such a gentleman! I was broken down in a larger vehicle in a very rural community. After waiting 5 hours and being quoted 30 minute arrival times not once but twice (each time about 2 hours apart), A driver showed up in socks and sandals ( again I reiterate I was broken down in the desert) and track pants. Before he even had the chance to get out of his truck and get sand in his socks the driver assured me that he would not be able to help me. OMG! Can't say enough of my experience! Adnan was sent to me by AAA and he was calling me a couple minutes after I talked to them, to make sure he had the right information of where I was. I have an all electric car and my battery run out before I got home, so I was stuck on the side of the freeway, 5 miles from my house. He arrived very fast and quickly got me to inside of his truck, since it was about 80 degrees outside, and cranked the AC for me. He was so careful with how he put my car on his truck and very pleasant on our journey, talking to me about different things, and made me feel safe. Then, when he got to my condo, he helped my husband put the car in the garage and showed me this tool kit I had on the trunk of my car - which is new - that I didn't even know existed! The worst rudest place I have ever dealt with; Jeff is very unprofessional and has the worst customer service I have ever encountered!!!! Do not ever use this place. They sold me a AAA battery for more than $200 with "6yr" warranty knowing I was not a AAA member; the battery has malfunctioned less than 2 years later and they are telling me they can't help me. When I asked for corporate information he would not give the information to me and is saying they are not responsible for this incident.
