We had breakfast there. I got the hash browns with cheese & sausage etc. also had jalapeño & came with bacon & biscuits. Was served barely warm,bland & honestly wasn't good. Our waitress never refilled our glasses or asked us how our meal was. My husband needed ketchup & we couldn't ever get waitresses attention. They weren't even very busy. Food was so so. First time eating here. Nothing fancy. But it is clean, and the service was very good. This is where the locals eat. Typical breakfast items at a good price. Not sure why Yelp has them as a $$ place. Should be $. I had one of their platers. I forget the name of it. 2 eggs bacon, or sausage. Sub Ham with an upcharge. Grits and toast for $5.99. I subbed hash browns for the grits and like $1.50, or $1.75 upcharge. The food was served quickly maybe 8-10 minutes. Everything was cooked as ordered. Quite tasty. Just sat as 6a door is unlimited and half dozen others come in. Looks like The Place for locals. No expresso/latte/specialty coffee here. Just regular brewed Folgers type. But decided breakfast of waffle, eggs, burned hash browns, grits and bacon. That all was excellent. And I will plan a return next time in area. read more

Have only had breakfast here but it's sooo good! You'll want a waffle. They're almost like a malted vanilla--huge and delicious. This place was a little ways off from 30, but wasn't too far or difficult to find as we were looking for a more "hole-in-the-wall" type place to eat on vacation. The building is nice, bit not as nice as the wait staff! The waitress who helped us was one of the nicest servers I've EVER had. We ordered cheese sticks as an app, which were food. My cheese burger was really dry and the bun was almost chewy. It felt like it had been under a heat lamp too long and I didn't enjoy it very much. My sweet potato waffle fries were pretty tasty though. My friend ordered the special- chicken speghetti and twice baked potato casserole. She wasn't overly thrilled about her meal, but did love the blackberry cobbler she ordered. If we ever went back, we would try breakfast since everyone raved about it on here. Had breakfast there some time ago. It was good, but average and in my view over priced. I had eggs OM, hash browns and bacon which I asked for "limp" as in not crispy. When the waitress called it in the cook loudly stated in a very sarcastic tone "I don't not know nothin' about no limp Bacon." It was cooked more crispy than I cared for but acceptable. And when my order came put the eggs weren't with it nor the biscuits and gravy that were included in the special. The hash browns were tasty but a bit on the greasy side. Good burgers! Not many choices on a Sunday night for a homemade burger. I called roadrunner but after 20 minutes and several unanswered phone calls, I found Johnny Bs here on yelp. Husband and I both got the jalapeño burger and it was really good! I loved the jalapeño bun. However, I was a bit disappointed with the homemade fries. They were super crispy and over cooked. My husband and I were driving through Texarkana on our way to Dallas. The diner is downtown and a short distance out of the way, but turned out to be an excellent choice. Best all meat omelet I have had in years, my husbands bacon and eggs were made to perfection, and the pup loved the 3 egg and cheese omelet. Service was beyond reproach - friendly, professional, efficient. Fellow customers were delightful and easy to talk to. My wife and I took a weekend trip to Texarkana. Wanted to eat at a place for breakfast that was different. We went to Johnny B's. The food that we had was good. The people that waited on us were very nice and friendly. The place was clean and neat. However if you are looking for a quick breakfast then you might want to skip Johnny B's. It took almost 40 minutes after we ordered to get our food. Not a problem for us because we were not in a rush. So if you were not in a hurry and like a good atmosphere and friendly people go to Johnny B's. PS the biscuits are out of this world. read more

This is the beast breakfast place around! Went on a Saturday morning and they were beyond busy. Every table was occupied when we arrived and all were occupied when we left (there were also lots of to go orders). The owners son was working the dining room all by himself. He was doing a great job taking orders, delivering food, cleaning tables, etc. until more people came to work. We ordered the western omelette, the all meat omelette and ham and eggs. Probably safest place to eat in town. Diagonally across from an Arkansas prison unit and frequented by law enforcement. Pretty plain inside with a straightforward menu. I have an initial critique. When I order coffee and cream I expect heavy cream or half/half. Not milk. It takes too much, doesn't taste as good and makes my coffee cold. Ordered a Western Omelette sans jalepenos. When the plate came I thought they prepared WITH the Jalepeno but the cook just used a couple of slices as a garnish. Well prepared, loaded with the ham & veggies and not overwhelmed with cheese-I fully approve! They serve grits and scattered hash browns for that proper Southern vibe. I saw toast as the default on many breakfast items but did not notice if they serve biscuits. I am not eating bread much on Weight Watchers. There only appeared to be 2 servers & one buster for the whole place. The waitress was as busy as a punk rock drummer, but provided acceptable service. What a great fantastic breakfast! I had the chicken fried steak plate. It was honestly the best chicken fried steak I've had in years. The breading on the steak was perfectly crisp and stood up to the creamy gravy well. The plate came with two biscuits and a cup of gravy, two eggs and hash browns. I ordered a side of bacon as well. The biscuits were great. Nice, hot and fluffy. They paired well with the cream gravy. The hash browns were the shredded type and cooked exactly they way they should have been. The eggs were good. Nicely scrambled. The bacon was a total winner. On the thick side and cooked till just crisp. It easy to overlook thicker bacon and this was just right. We walked in , no one greets us .. we stood there awkwardly then finally ask the girl at the counter if we seat ourselves and she barely looked up to say "ya " . No smile no nothing . Then we sat our selves down and waited and waited .. others came in after us and they were acknowledged and still no word to us .. after 7 minutes.. we decided to walk out and still no one even said anything..
