My son got wings and fries which he found out they will not be having much longer. He was disappointed in that news, but was happy to be eating on an actual battleship. The fries were hot and crispy. I stole a few and they have yummy seasoning on them. They have some tables and chairs under the shade, which was very nice. We enjoyed our lunch and beautiful weather. And even though I have had bad experiences with this Ono's link that have resulted in some tummy grumbles, I can forgive because I understand that sometimes I am an unlucky duck that receives the worst of a business day. But this review is not meant to shoot down this place, quite the contrary it is meant to celebrate this place all the ducking way! The fare is Hawaiian inspired, and typically solid. And it can be healthy (grilled chicken) or indulgent (katsu- Asian fried chicken) and even unnecessary in an extra side kind of way (musubi or cream cheese wontons/ragoons). It would also help to maybe move the menu stands closer to the entrance so they could take more orders before cars get to the window or have someone go out there to take orders when there's a line of cars. Often times they waste time when cars are just sitting there waiting to get their orders taken only to wait again for their food to be prepared. It doesn't make sense. I would come here again but only when I have time to wait or if I see that there is no line of cars waiting.

A few minuets later, Elizabeth came back with the food and put it on the table. She asked me "Did I Forget Anything"? I said No. Elizabeth said "Enjoy Your Meal" then left. I was halfway through my lunch when Elizabeth showed back up and asked me if I needed anything else, I told her "No, I have everything I need". She walked away. At the end of my lunch, Elizabeth showed back up and gave me the paper bill for the lunch. She asked me if I was happy with her service, I told her that I was Very Happy with her service. I usually choose a scoop of vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and nuts. It's good stuff! On Sunday nights, the special is a petite sirloin steak with 2 sides, soup or salad, and a dessert. Hubby and I are have mostly gone in on the evenings so the night servers are familiar with us and super kind and efficient. There are only a few Spire's locations left in the South Bay. Glad this one is still here. The 3.5 yelp average is accurate. I would give them 3.5 but round to 3.
