Upon entering the restaurant, we immediately felt how hot and humid it was inside. They really need to add air conditioning or a better ventilation system inside during these hot summer months. I had to use the restroom, so I headed to the back of the restaurant where they are located, and the women's bathroom didn't have an out of order sign even though it did not flush. I went into the men's bathroom because it was a single person bathroom, and I used that because it did flush properly, but the bathroom was so dirty and disgusting. I couldn't wait to leave. I sat down to order with my family and the waitress was unsure of the kids' menu options and the menu itself doesn't provide enough information about what is included in the kids' meals. My son ordered tacos de asada for kids and my daughter ordered a chicken burrito. The chicken in the burrito was flavorless. It tasted just like boiled chicken, but at least her meal had some rice and beans. My son got two tacos that were swimming in grease with no sides. I ordered the pina preparada which has a nice presentation. It also comes with rice and beans. However, the refried beans at this place are not good. They are cooked with oregano??? That is not necessary. Beans are delicious when they are made the traditional way. Oregano is not needed. I couldn't eat them. The seafood in the Pina preparada was pretty flavorless. The shrimp and the piece of panela cheese were the best parts of the meal. Everything else lacked salt or any seasoning. Some of it was also overcooked because the seafood was pretty rubbery. The chips that are brought to the table also didn't have salt, and the green and red salsas also didn't not have enough flavor. read more

I've ordered from Brite spot several times and I like their Caldo de res to be exceptional. Very tasty and complete with rice beans tortillas chips and corn tortillas. I came here to grab lunch with my coworkers. The employees were super nice and it wasn't busy when I was there since it was in between meals I think. I ordered a shrimp taco (no salsa) and a Super Taco (with grilled chicken). Although my food was good, my shrimp taco had the salsa i requested to leave off and after eating my super taco (which was more of a taco salad tbh), I realized there was no grilled chicken. Went in today for the first time and my hubby ordered a cocktail campechana which was amazing and delicious. I ordered a bowl of ceviche de pescado and camaron and I was very dissatisfied with the lack of freshness. The cilantro was almost browned and the purple onions were losing their color and this is due to it sitting for a few days. I went with my mom, and the experience was very disappointing. She ordered a coffee, but it had no flavor and tasted bad. When she told the waitress, the only response was, "that's the coffee we have," without even attempting to make another one or replace it. There was also another issue: a customer came in who, according to the waitress, always eats at the same table where my mom and I were sitting. She commented, "if it's not that table, he doesn't like to eat anywhere else." Later, when the same customer returned, she made another remark: "it's not my fault, he saw when they came in and sat there and didn't say anything" (referring to the cook, who supposedly saw us when we entered). These comments were completely out of place and made me feel very uncomfortable during the meal. Between the lack of customer service, the unprofessional attitude, and the uncomfortable atmosphere, I would not recommend this restaurant or return in the future. read more

Although I am not particularly fond of seafood, the menu features a wide range of choices, many of which do not include fish. We ordered the mixed molcajete with chicken and requested extra asada instead of shrimp. While there were minor drawbacks--the salsa verde had a raw chili flavor that we preferred to be cooked, and the nopal in our molcajete was very bitter--the overall dining experience was enjoyable. For three plates, which provided us with plenty of leftovers, our total came to approximately $83. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
