We went back to Bae's again yesterday to try the chicken sandwich specifically. I chose to have it spicy and it comes with pickles and Bae's sauce. It was the very best chicken sandwich that I've ever had!!! It is breaded. However, the breading was as light as a feather, wispy thin. I'll need to toss a coin when going in the future, as I love the Bae's Patty Melt and the Chicken Sando equally. As always, there is nothing to clear by the time you are ready to leave. The staff pre-buses as the food disappears. It's such a nice touch to clear everything and not sit with a mess as you finish your drink while watching the activity on the street. Bae's Burgers has been on my must try list since they had a food truck only location. My family and I happened to be in the Mooresville area on Saturday and decided to stop in. The place was packed! I ordered the single bae burger and my sister ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and we split them and shared the garlic parm fries. The food was amazing! The burger was so flavorful and not too salty or greasy like some smash patties can be. I loved the fresh pickles and onions and the baes sauce as well. The chicken sandwich was super juicy and tender. The chicken was not very spicy. It could have been spicier for me. The garlic parm fries were loaded with so much garlic and Parmesan. Intimate inside seated dining space and a couple of bistro style seats outside. Majority take to-go orders. Enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich, the Double baes burger, and the double garlic butter bacon burger(the GBB) with a side of garlic Parmesan fires. Along with fountain drinks they have some local beers on draft and a few cider selections. The food was hot, fresh, tasty, and surprisingly light in my belly. The couple of things for improvement on my first visit were the Garlic Aioli sauce on the GBB burger, it was a bit salty and I would have like more sauce on my chicken sandwich. That's an easy solve with asking for extra sauce next time since chicken breast sandwiches sometimes need a bit more sauce for moisture but definitely a preference not necessity. I'm visiting from out of town and my family said that Bae's is a must have...and they weren't wrong! I've been to a few smash burger spots in South Florida, where I'm from, so I'm no stranger to them, but Bae's was definitely unique. There are around 9 tables, 2 high tops, a little bar area and outdoor seating. They have a limited menu, which I appreciated as I didnt feel overwhelmed with options. We were warmly greeted at the register by a nice young lady with blonde hair (sorry I didn't get a name!) She was super patient with us while we put in our order. We got a G.B.B. with a single patty, runny egg and garlic parm fries; a double G.B.B with garlic parm fries; a Bae burger, single patty with lettuce and bacon; and finally a grilled cheese. I'll start with the grilled cheese as that was the most disappointing (but I'm not the one who had to eat it!) It was incredibly small and they use the burger buns instead of bread. Pictures are a bit deceiving because it does seem a lot bigger than it actually is. It seems like something you would get with a kids meal; could eat it in 3 bites, easily. As for the burgers, they are the crispiest smash burgers I've ever had, which is great. But because they're so thin and crispy, it's best to get a double if you want a heartier burger. The buns are also pretty small, and I'm not sure if that is to make the burgers look bigger or what. The garlic aioli and bae sauce are fantastic additions. I'd highly recommend getting an egg on your burger as it really elevates it! But the highlight of the meal? The garlic parm fries. Hot, crispy, cheesy, and a light garlic flavor. I couldn't ask for more in a french fry! With two burger combos w/modifications, another burger and a grilled cheese, the total came to around $55. The menu is quite limited and not very family-friendly. I tried speaking with the owner about upgrading my children's cheeseburger meals to garlic parmesan fries and paying the price difference. I was told that wasn't an option because "people take advantage." This was an in-person order with my two children present--there was clearly no attempt to take advantage of anything. I even offered to pay the difference, but was still told no and that I'd need to order an adult meal à la carte, which cost about $5 more. It was disappointing to be treated this way as a loyal, paying customer. Policies are one thing, but flexibility and customer service go a long way--especially for families dining in. read more

Service is always really thorough and they have never once gotten our order wrong. This is one of the few places in mooresville that has thoroughly trained their staff to know how to behave in a customer service role in a society- a true rarity in the Lake Norman/Charlotte area. I'd been wanting to try this place after I saw it on instagram and it did not disappoint! I love the smash style burgers, these patties were super thin and crispy. They seemed pretty salty but were still delicious. We tried the GBB burger which has garlic aioli, bacon, and cheese on it. It was very satisfying. Next time I would probably add lettuce and tomato to it to cut through how rich and salty the patties and cheese were. The regular cheeseburger also looked good. We got the garlic parm fries with the burger and a kids chicken tenders for my daughter which was tasty too. You also have to try the sauces, we had the honey mustard and spicy ranch and both went to well with the burger and fries. The place is pretty simple, with a counter to order food at, an open grill area right behind it, and some booths and tables, along with a few tables out front on the sidewalk too. It was so good!!!! We did eat in. It's not a large place but that didn't bother me. It can be a little cramped with people ordering and getting drinks though so just FYI. I thought the place was cute! I will be returning. As far as pricing goes, plant based does tend to cost a little more so it was about $20 for burger and fries plus tip. Saw a video saying this place the best smash burgers in North Carolina so had to pay them a visit. They are on a Main Street type road so parking was on street. There may be a lot behind. Upon entering you see they have a few tables for dine in. I was ordering take away so no seating for me. I tried to call and place my order but was informed they do not take orders over the phone. A bit odd. I was directed to the web to place my order. So, I pulled over on my drive and did so. It was an easy process. I got the Double Bae Burger and large fries. The burger was very good but was not "knock my socks off" good. Flavorful for sure. Felt like there wasn't a Lot of meat. The fries were the hit of the meal. Excellent. Fresh cut. It's counter service & the dining room is very casual with several great photo ops.
