I had two problems that needed to be addressed. I had a fairly new toilet that hadn't been set…read moreproperly and was moving around the floor and leaking. Also, the cold water stopped working in my shower, making the shower unusable. I lost my husband this year and am never sure about what to do when things go wrong in the house, since I never had to address those problems in the past. I called 1-Tom and they made me feel completely confident about my choice. Right from the start, I liked the fact that they answered the phone and I didn't have to keep pushing buttons to get to the right person. I was told that they stood behind all their work and they would make sure I was satisfied with the outcome. Before Alex came to my home, I received a photo of him. He was confident and friendly and I immediately felt I was in good hands. Originally it looked like it was going to be a bad situation with the toilet and that the floor might have to be torn up. Alex showed me what the problem was and I could now see why the toilet couldn't be installed correctly in the first place. Alex called his boss and discussed what needed to be done. He was able to do it without damaging the floor, which was a huge relief. I trusted that 1-Tom did the best job possible for me while avoiding major repairs. I would definitely use their services again and recommend them to my friends.

Would highly recommend this company. I called and was able to get a plumber out to me within a day…read more They did a quote for me on a project to move the washer/dryer and create a new laundry room. In addition they fixed a few issues with our master bath shower head/handle and toilet. The company was really great, they sent me a bio and photo of the person who would be coming (which I appreciated for safety and professionalism), and the man who came was super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He also had some great suggestions and input on the project and location in the house, in terms of what's best to save money and simplify all the moving parts--which I really appreciated. Pricing was also good and very reasonable. Would definitely recommend them and also use them again going forward.

I had a very positive experience with Allied All City Inc. after going through a stressful plumbing…read moreissue in my home. I have a warranty through AWRUSA that covers both my in-house plumbing and exterior lines, and when I discovered a leak in my basement tied to a crack in the main drain line, I knew it was going to be a complicated situation. A technician first came out to assess the problem and quickly realized that the crack extended beyond the interior wall and into the exterior portion of the line. At that point, Allied All City Inc. was assigned through AWRUSA, and they recommended a full replacement of the damaged section, which fortunately was covered under my warranty. The team arrived early and started around 8:30 AM. Before any digging began, they had someone come out to properly mark the gas lines, which I appreciated since it showed a strong focus on safety and doing things the right way. The job itself was not easy. It required several hours of digging and breaking through concrete to access and remove the damaged pipe. They explained that there really was no shortcut or temporary fix, and given how much I had already been relying on makeshift solutions just to hold things together, I agreed that a full replacement was the best long-term solution. Throughout the entire process, the crew was communicative and professional. They took the time to walk me through each step, explaining what they were doing and why. When they removed the damaged pipe, they even showed me the extent of the deterioration, which helped me fully understand how serious the issue had become. After completing the replacement, they didn't just leave things torn up. They made a real effort to restore the area as closely as possible to its original condition, which I really appreciated. It's clear they take pride not only in fixing the problem but also in respecting the customer's home. In the end, the issue was completely resolved, and everything is functioning perfectly now. The entire experience, from assessment to completion, was handled professionally and efficiently. I'm very satisfied with the quality of work and the level of service I received. I would absolutely recommend Allied All City Inc. to anyone dealing with a serious plumbing issue.

My water main started leaking in my basement and I had to have the service shut off at the street…read more I call Allied last night, and they sent Juan by to survey my job and they provided me a price to replace my main from the curb to the meter in the basement. They arrived this morning with 4 men and all sort of heavy equipment. Oh so grateful for their drilling equipment so they didn't have to tear up my new driveway and walk installed last year. They ran the new main, ,and replumbed everything in my basement. While the original quote shocked me, you certainly get what you pay for. It turned. out to be a bargin. Any other contractor - I'd be having my sidewalk, walkway and front porch redone. I highly recommend this company.

Roto-Rooter solved my problem, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth…read more I scheduled a free estimate through Yelp after Roto-Rooter was the first company to respond. My appointment was confirmed for between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. At 8:30 AM, they called asking if they could come immediately. I explained that my family was still getting ready for the day and that we only have one bathroom, so I asked them to honor the original appointment window. Then, at noon, I received another call saying the technician was on the way. They didn't arrive until about 20 minutes later. Two technicians came in, looked at the drain issue, and quoted nearly $800 plus tax. Because this is the only bathroom in my home and I needed the problem fixed, I really didn't have much choice. I approved the work. Here's the part that bothered me: the entire job took less than 15 minutes. To be clear, the drain is working and the technicians were professional. I have no complaints about the quality of the repair. My issue is paying nearly $800 for what amounted to a very quick service call. When the technicians walked out the door less than 15 minutes after they arrived, it was hard not to feel like I had just paid an emergency premium price for a routine fix. To make matters worse, I continued receiving automated calls from Roto-Rooter trying to schedule the appointment that had already been completed and paid for. That gave the impression that the scheduling and customer service systems are not well coordinated. If you need immediate service and money is no object, Roto-Rooter will likely get the job done. If you have time to shop around, I strongly recommend getting multiple quotes first. Looking back, I suspect many local plumbers could have performed the same repair for significantly less.
