This is the second time I call this company and had Erick work on a plumbing issue (leaking metal pipe under the kitchen sink), in this case a leak. I thought his performance deserved an upgrade on his review from four to five stars: He came quickly, was very respectful and polite and did the job efficiently and with precision. One great thing about Erick: he takes time to explain what's wrong with the pipe, how he was going to fix it and he provided a quality replacement part that he had in his truck. In and out in 10 to 15 minutes, and that was only because I delayed him talking. He was also neat and did not create a mess in the area where he worked. I couldn't recommend him more (oh, and he did rethread the dishwasher machine's connection so it could drain more efficiently). We had an emergency in my home where we had a clog in 3 of our sinks at the same time and we called a few places and they couldn't make it until later this week. Well, the emergency came about 2 hours later when the sink started to overflow without us running the water in that particular sink, it turned out to be that we were running a dishwasher from upstairs but Overflowing downstairs. I called back some places that I originally called with great reviews and they still couldn't make an emergency call. I then called all hour drain and I was concerned at first from the person answering the phone, he didn't seem knowledgeable or from around here but I think he was just from an answering call center. He called while I was on a call with the next company and as I told him my dilema, he stated he would finish the job he's doing and come right over before his next job. I have a plumber who is as good as John Kennedy, our plumber for many years. John Kennedy passed away several years ago. Since then I have had at least 5 plumbers whose work was not even close to John's work. It was very discouraging. I had been hearing good things about a plumber named Eric of All Hours Plumbing from The Plainview Moms Group which has recommended many repairmen to me. Since last October, I was having a problem with my washing machine & water that was around the bottom of the washing machine. I called one of the plumbers I had been using. He told me that it was the pipe above the washing machine and he replaced a flex hose & repaired the pipe for $200. I was just happy that the problem was fixed. I probably did about 6 loads of wash. Several months later, I went into the laundry room to put a wash into the dryer. There was water all over the laundry room. I looked around the washing machine and there was toxic mold. I now was involved with mold remediation & removal. After the mold was removed, I did not use the washing machine, I went to a laundromat & just did wash. I was looking for a new washer and dryer. Today I went into the laundry room and again there was water all over the room and I had not used the washing machine. I contacted Eric of All Hours Plumbing. He was extremely busy because it was the day after Labor Day. Eric told me that since this is an emergency he would have to alter his schedule. He told me that he would call me back. About an hour later, he arrived. He went into the laundry room and looked at the washing machine & the large thick pipe that ran the width of the room and went outside to the sewer. Eric knew right away what was wrong. He told me the main pipe had a heart attack. He also has a good sense of humor. He added that he was sure that when he cleaned the pipe that he would find where the clog was. Sure enough the pipe was clogged with several items that were flushed down the toilet that should not have been in the toilet. So every time the toilet was flushed, a tremendous spray of water came out of the pipe above the washing machine causing water to go all over the laundry room. Since I was not in the laundry room, I had no idea what was happening. Eric of All Hours Plumbing is amazing. Within minutes of being in the laundry room, he knew the problem & gave me a reasonable estimate to remove the clog with a huge machine that Eric brought down the basement. He even cleaned up the laundry room. We have Our Plumber! He is a Licensed Master Plumber who knows what he is doing and charges reasonable prices! Yay Eric! I would give you 10 stars if I could. This is my new plumber. Eric was so patient with me, even texting with me, to help find a mutual time that we could meet. They're busy and I'm busy, and it could have been easy for him to just dismiss me... instead, he kept checking and checking, working through my crazy work schedule. Then, when he showed up for what should just be a free estimate, he was quickly able to diagnose, and realized he had the parts right in his truck - he could fix it right now! The issue had been a bathtub faucet that leaked for months - despite only being a couple of years old. Turned out there was an internal mechanism issue that he sorted out in about 20 minutes - TWENTY MINUTES! When I didn't have the cash on hand to pay him, which was my preference (since I certainly hadn't expected he'd be able to so quickly jump in and fix it), he waited for me to be able to run out to the bank and come back, and not even a HINT of a hard time. I live in a co-op in Hauppauge and had a clog in my bathroom sink. The maintenance guys for the co-op came and before I knew it the pipes were leaking. They unclogged the drain and fixed the leak they caused but before they left they told me I needed all new pipes that it was corroded. I previously also had a problem with the bathtub drain clogging and though they unclogged it, water was going down slow. They told me I needed a new drain lever. I called up Eric the plumber and he came to look at the sink and said the pipes were fine and to save my money. I also had him check out the bathroom drain lever. He was very honest and told me I did not need new pipes nor a new drain lever. I so appreciated his honesty. This is so hard to come by.
