I recently went to Johnny's for a quick lunch. The restaurant was busy, which is expected, but I was really impressed with my server they were respectful, fast, and overall very kind. The food came out quickly, and everything on that front was great. What completely ruined the experience was witnessing the young manager's behavior. From where I was seated, I could clearly hear him yelling at employees in the kitchen not just with frustration, but with complete disrespect. What shocked me the most was when he loudly shouted "stupid Mexicans" and "Open your F** eyes" in the middle of the restaurant. My friend and I were absolutely stunned. That kind of language is disgusting, unacceptable, and deeply offensive. No one employee or customer should ever witness or be subjected to that kind of hate or discrimination. It's beyond unprofessional. Corporate seriously needs to look into who they're putting in charge at this location. A manager represents the values of the brand, and this one made it clear he doesn't belong in a leadership position or any position dealing with people. read more

My wife and I arrived 30 minutes early and they allowed us to come in anyway and sit down and wait until 11 to be served so we could be in the air-conditioning and not sitting outside in the car. We had the beef fajitas for two which was excellent and it was very tender very tasty it was awesome. And you can get good fajitas most anywhere however we were treated extremely well , they gave us some ice tea and chips and salsa while we waited for the staff to get ready, our waiter was very attentive and courteous everyone ; was that way as well, very impressed with how friendly and welcoming we were treated. We will definitely go back, always good to eat out and be well fed well taken care of and appreciated and by the way our waiter got a really good tip. He earned it. read more

I've been here maybe three times and every time i leave satisfied. They have a few dishes on their menu, but I seem to order the same thing--the grilled beef fajita on skillet. It's delicious. It's sautéed with onions and green peppers. I also love their fresh nachos and salsa and guacamole. It's still hot (nachos) when they serve it to you. Another thing I've started ordering is queso with flour tortilla. Roll the tortilla then dip into the fresh, warm queso OMG heaven! Yes maybe fattening but hey ones in awhile you can handle it. The staff is attentive and always available when needed and constantly checking up on you, i like that. Free ice cream cone as you leave the restaurant, but never tried it since I'm alway full by the time I leave. I will always come back for Texmex food. So I came here thinking some yummy food. I was a little disappointed for sure. The chips and salsa was really good. Especially the salsa, they gave me this other salsa to try which was green. Don't recommend it. Really didn't have a lot of Mexican dishes to choose from. It was tasty but the rest of it was just ok. Now the building and all the decor was amazing. I was heading up the road but as I passed this place, it was packed at 8pm so I turned in. Glad I did!! There must have been a 30-45 min wait, lots of people up front, place was huge and loud so I just went to the bar and got a seat immediately and got to drinking. Got me a cold beer to start then a margarita since they seemed to be flying off the shelf. The bar was busy, the staff was nice, on the ball and professional- young too- and I had a set up, drink and looking at the menu within 5 min. After looking a bit at the menu- ( I wasn't starving) I went for the stuffed Avocado. Perfect choice. Great beans and rice with it, it was a fried ball stuff ( not sure if was in the avocado shell but ) oval, cut it open to get chicken, beef or ground beef I think- ( I got chicken) and it was great! It's not packed with spices, so there is salsa and plenty of hot sauce if you want to kick it up like I did. The plate was plenty of food, of course you get chips and salsa but really a perfect night to get in and eat quick with good quality food, great servers and great management. Looks like a chain and cheesy- but once inside, its a tex mex place to the hilt. Will be back for sure. The Tamales looked great and they put time in some of the drinks so hit them up. First time coming here I'm not a big fan of Tex-Mex but I must say Johnny Tamale is not to bad it's a nice place good people good service manager Chris presented himself right away so that's good hhmmm hot sauce for chips sucks as it does at every other Tex-Mex place if you want a burrito don't expect to much I ordered the burrito and it's literally just a flour tortilla with beef inside as you can see in picture nothing at all in it so that sucks uhm pricing some of the food is over exaggerated on price but it's ok if you just want to check out the place I won't be returning but this was my review of the food was better and burrito would actually have something besides just beef in it I would have given 4 stars but 2 stars because of the burrito read more

This was my first visit & all I wanted was some chicken tortilla soup... it was all broth, I shouldn't be able to count the ingrediants. But, my soup came with only 2 pieces of squash, 2 pieces of corn, which was actually a quarter piece of a corn on the cob, cut in half, I had a quarter piece of chicken breast (NOT shreded), and rice. The tortilla strips & shredded cheese, were already added to soup, when they should have been on the side, so the strips were soggy & the cheese was melted and at the bottom of the bowl. My waiter Diego, was fantastic, he was prompt, courteous & attentive. His great customer service, is the only reason why I gave 2 stars, otherwise they deserve 0 stars. read more

Also received help by Sam on the side and she was extremely helpful and informative. I would highly recommend if your looking for Mexican food that is Americanized to definitely give it a try. Dinner at the bar. Arrived at 5:30pm and the bar always reasonably crowded. Appeared to be regulars for dinner. There were 3 seats available. The restaurant had no wait for seating. Jose the bartender was attentive and got a menu and drink order immediately. He also provided chips and salsa and a white sauce. Chips tasted fresh and salsa varieties were good. I settled on the El dorado chicken. Topped with a wine sauce, shrimp and crawfish. It came with soup and rice. I opted for two fresh corn tortillas as well. It was delicious and an ample portion. While this is not a chain it has that vibe-but the food(at least what I saw and tried) is great! read more
