We have gone to Bravos for years, my husband really likes their barbaco! It's not fancy, but has good food & margaritas!

The tamales and gravy are good. And the other food was decent. However, the table was sticky. There was gunk on my seat. There was a brown ribbon in one of my tamales (still tasted fire). The service was 10-20 minutes of waiting on average. The waitress wasn't to my typical expectation of attentiveness, sometimes forgetting or not hearing when my family asked for something. read more

Came in around 6pm pretty quiet, slow(only 1 other table) besides the table of 5 of mines. The hostess was very welcoming and Beto came attended us after we sat down. My boyfriend and I ate here on a whim last week! It's the only Mexican restaurant surrounded by Vietnamese spots to eat so we were curious how the food would be. For coming in on a slow Wednesday afternoon, we didn't expect much, but we're pleasantly surprised! The free chips came with two different types of salsa, red and green! Both great. I ordered a plate of Barbacoa that came with rice, beans and some fixins while my partner got a similar order. The portions are huge! We could have easily shared one. Good bang for your buck! The waiter we had was very attentive and friendly as well. Couldn't recommend giving this place a try any more than I am now! read more

Absolutely a scam!! My family join us at this restaurant for the BUFFET not a sit down full service typical restaurant dining. Our waitresses came by twice, once to take our drink order and another to drop them off. Other than that nothing else was serviced to our group. 45min later a waitress drops by to ask us how we would be paying and how many tickets. We explained various times to her as she seemed highly confused. To our surprise we were ALL charged an 18% gratuity. The manager "Nancy" Tell me " You have been here several times you should know we charge a 18% gratuity " Excuse Me!! Most of my family was from out of town and stepped in to inform her that was not the case. And that little to none service was provided and we are paying an $80.00 tip collectively. We never complained about the dirty tables, sticky floors, rotten fruit, dry rice or a suspicious thing in the menudo. All in all this restaurant has gone down hill quickly. I'll start by saying the service is actually pretty decent which is the only reason I give this plate two stars instead of one. The food however, is awful. The food lacked taste and everything was oddly bland or had a weird taste that was not appetizing. The place was freezing cold and the AC was dripping from the ceiling on to our table, landing in some of our food. The food is very good and plated really nice. I got a lot of food for my money and felt it was worth it. I walked in and was seated. Then I heard a woman at the back of my head and I turn around and it was my waitress. She liked to talk to me from behind. At one point I turned my chair completely around. The plates are cheap plastic and the forks are nasty. I don't get it. As much as they charge, they need to upgrade the silverware. When I go to a restaurant I want to feel like I am in someone else's home. Or at the very least I would want to feel like I am in a restaurant. I do not want to feel as though I am in a school cafeteria. I think from this point on I am not going to go to any restaurant that serves good food on cheap plates and cheap silverware. I ordered the Bravos and it was outstanding I could not imagine getting a better combination than the Bravos. The food was fresh and tasted so good. Just the food alone I would give this restaurant a four and a half Stars. For the same price or even better you can go to Casa Ole and get served on better dinnerware and silverware. Other than that I really enjoyed my time there and if they do upgrade the plates I will definitely go back. The salsa tasted good but it was warm and thin. When I got to the school the excess juice spilled all over the bag and on my car seat because they used cheap containers not meant to transport juice. Very quick service. This isn't "healthy" Mexican food, but it was reasonably priced and delicious. The flan was a bit more solid than I have had it before, but it was still good. The strawberry purée and whipped cream were unnecessary. All in all, not bad. It looks a little dated but the crew were super friendly and kind. The food was ready in minutes!
