Cheese enchilada with beans and rice.

I just came back to Los Amigos after they finished their renovations. Sadly, the only positive change about this place is the décor and interior design, NOT the food or service. The prices are still decent and they have a nicer bathroom. Let's be real here, though. Most of the menu items don't a have description. For example, how am I supposed to know what's on their 'fiesta' dish, if I have to ask every single time!?! When I was dining there, I noticed that there were only one or two people working there, literally. Service was slow, and our food took almost an hour to arrive. Los Amigos' salsa is spicy, but watery. Their queso is oily and tastes like canned soup. YUCK! The taco al carbon was a joke. It consisted of uneven cuts of steak, I didn't get to pick which meat I wanted in mine, in one flimsy tortilla. Dry and bland. I'm not coming back to Los Amigos anytime soon.

It doesn't look like much but this place has been here a long time serving the community. The food is good fresh and hot! Family owned! Lunch specials, authentic Mexican food.

    Cheese Nachos

these were the 6 dollar cheese nachos.......... it was a spit on the face smh will definitely never visit this place again, and the salsa tasted like water

Really great Mexican food. I was actually surprised. They also have some great margaritas and they have specials for happy hour and on weekends. I ordered the fish plate on the dinner menu, not sure what it was called but it was great! The place is small but don't underestimate it, they serve delicious food.

Very good margaritas..quick service and friendly environment. Great for a family dine in!

I only need 2. Don't let me have more than 2!

Recently I told you I like being the designated interpreter. Don't make me the designated driver. I tell my friends if you want a cheap date, I am your girl.... I mean cheap as in light weight. Not cheap as in cheap, I'll break your bank with the way I eat. Okay, the first time I came I was out with two house margaritas. (I am exaggerating a bit obviously) I probably shouldn't go into detail on what I do and don't remember, but I've had to ask time and time again where this place is so I could return. Today I brought my non-social media bestie of 30 years. Yes, they do exist. Anyways, she wanted to stay close to home and didn't want to spend much money. I do recall my first time here the tab was cheap. $3.00 house margaritas - you don't need more than 2. We had an appetizer platter with the works, also includes two margaritas. That alone filled us up both. Salsa is spicy enough that I didn't share. I never really share salsa, but I'm not kidding it was really great. Here's the best part I ran into a cute waitress who just happens to be a friend. She'll take good care of you promise, be sure to tip her super. She carded us before we recognized each other. That's just lovely, almost being 40 and all. She also delivered a message from a fellow employee who thought I was hot. Doesn't surprise me, well duh. Of course I am. Flattery definitely gets 5 stars.

Fun, clean restaurant great for friends and family!

Wonderful queso flameado, your choice of chicken, beef or shrimp. Great flautist. Wonderful location for family parties. Tasty margaritas!

Chicken Cancun Dinner - NOTE: This was taken after we dug in! It was served with 2 shrimp, more rice and beans (not pictured).

We wanted to try a new Tex-Mex restaurant in Pasadena. The reviews here on Yelp were pretty good so why not? And I'm glad we did! We were pleasantly surprised! We started off with a small queso. It was good. The texture was creamy and thick. And it was very flavorful. I didn't love the red salsa. It was a little too spicy for me. For our entree, we opted for one of their specials. I think it was called the Chicken Cancun or something like that. We shared it. It was a grilled chicken breast with a creamy cilantro sauce, 2 grilled shrimp, rice and beans. It also came with a House Margarita. All of this was $12.95. Not bad! We also ordered a cheese enchilada a la carte. We loved the chicken with the cilantro sauce! It was delicious! And the shrimp were AMAZING! I wish we had ordered extra. The dinner came with charros beans but we requested refried instead. The beans were seasoned well. Very tasty! I liked the rice but my boyfriend thought it was bland. He's Mexican so he knows his rice. He also wasn't that impressed with the cheese enchilada. I thought it was OK. He said the rita had a kick! I tasted it and it was strong. He got a little buzz from just one. They have Happy Hour from 3-9 which it awesome! Most happy hours end at 6 or 7. For those of us that work across town, it's hard to make it by then. Our server mentioned they have 16 different flavors they can add to the ritas! Wowza!! He was also the manager. His name was Greg. He was super friendly and helpful. For a small queso, an entree, an extra enchilada, a House margarita and soda, it was only $23. Not bad at all! We will definitely be back!

Food is reasonable, very fresh tasting, it could use some minor touch ups but the wait staff is great. Great Tex Mex and no need to a high priced chain, we don't drink so I can't give a review on the drinks but overall it was good. Ask for Carlos he is great and prompt waiter.

Sopapillas and still working on my margarita!

First off, place looks amazing. A down home joint. Tina, our server, was excellent. Water was always full, attentive but not overbearing. Wonderful lady. But the food! OMG! This place is heaven! Tamales are so flavorful and the chili sauce is tasty. The chalupas were delicious as well. We're going to be back-we HAVE TO! That drive from Georgetown will be worth it.

The male host that seated us, didnt say hello welcome or anything, he actually picked up the menus and started walking, we followed assuming he was seating us.. since we were the only ones next. He lead us to an area to the left straight back behind the hostess area. He didnt speak and just put our menus down on a table and kept walking to further back into that area.. My daughter says is this our table? and he just glanced and nodded... what was that? We sat there for a while.. feeling so strange. This has never happened before. Usually the female hostess greets us we get seated and we are handed our venues after we are seated and we are told your server will be right with you. Needless to say we left. We did not feel like eating there anymore. You all may not worry about our little $50 Lunch.. ( thats how much we usually spend if not more)but if any other customers feel the same way after encountering that male host.. you will be seeing more customers walking out.

It's a small place, so it's not ideal for large gatherings and they're easy to miss. El Tostaco Regio does not serve typical Mexican cuisine. Their food is what you would find served on the streets of Mexico. So there's no refried beans, rice or a queso plate here. Most of their dishes comes with beans and a cup of broth. Their food is served fresh, but messy. Everything they make is packed with flavor, but not overpowered by spices. The tables have three complimentary sauces you can try with your dishes. If your other party is not in the mood for Mexican, El Tostaco Regio also have burgers and baked potatoes. Their menu is bilingual, thankfully. The staff are patient and kind. Prices are affordable. I will say that their AC system could've been better, considering we're in Summer now. They only have only bathroom. Aside from a TV playing Latino music, there's no decor inside at all. My major issue is that El Tostaco Regio is NOT wheelchair accessible. That's completely unacceptable!
