Simply, BrewDog has seen better days. For the most part, thanks to friends and a beautiful sunny day, we had a great visit. But the negatives detracted a bit. BrewDog Cleveland is located right at a bend in the river, which I'm told is a spectacle when large ships have to turn there. They have a beautiful outdoor area with tables, some with roofs for sun or snow, plus a neat bar area right on the water. There's also a booze cruise ramp right outside, which maybe something we'll have to do in the future. The space inside is large and well planned, with rustic exposed bricks and metal. There are lots of different seating areas as well, I loved the fire pits. They have areas for private events, and every sized party. Immediately inside the entrance are refrigerators for takeout beer. The main bar is along the right. They have a huge selection of draft beer as well, but the posted menu and online menu weren't the same which made ordering difficult. This is a family friendly, date, and late night hot spot! I won't say the service is good because we didn't receive any service from a waiter, but the bartender was nice and we ordered our food at the outside kiosk and got a buzzer to pick up when I t was ready. You can sit by the river (they have some cruise boats pull up you can take for $20 for the night) there are umbrellas, they have checkers and some open grass. Dogs are allowed outside. If you want water you have to get it from the water stations. The food was excellent. I had the Buffalo bbq pizza it was so good! You can sit anywhere outside, inside you need to see a host. I'm visiting Cleveland for the second time so this is my first visit to BrewDog. Cool spot! Lots of local brews on tap. Fun outdoor area to chill, play games, and just have fun with a group, and good spot to watch some sports. They have games in the back and inside. What I wish is more TVs. We came and sat on a couch and def had turkey neck looking over at the other tv. That's my biggest issue. Our favorite place on our recent trip to Cleveland! Not only is this brewery enormous with tons of indoor seating, there's also a huge outdoor area in the back with giant chess, jenga, and tables by the river for amazing sunset views. Boaters can tie up right there and join the fun onshore. Drinks and food are a little pricey but you're paying for the fun atmosphere and views. This was our first time visiting this location, and we had high expectations. We stayed and dined at the BrewDog in Columbus and were totally WOWed then. I'm happy to say CLE BrewDog was fantastic. It's great to spend time in the Flats. We were all thrilled with our food. I got the chicken bacon avocado sandwich. Chicken was seasoned and grilled expertly, a lovely ciabatta bun that wasn't too crispy, and thick bacon. The true star was the house dressing, which was sort of like a mustard vinaigrette? Please bottle and sell the mustard- it was so damn delicious. Other food items we loved- GIANT soft pretzel with salami and house pickles, the Patriot Burger, Breakfast Burger, wings, chicken tacos, Cobb Salad, and several adult beverages. We left very happy. Our bill for 4 adults was about $160 with tip? Not too bad considering we all had several beers or cocktails, 3 appetizers, and legit my father in law ordered 2 entrees. I've been to Brew Dog a few times and have had great service but for some reason tonight they were just completely off their game. They had no hostess in the front and after asking a bartender I was told I could sit anywhere and a server would come to me but after sitting for at least 15 minutes no one came and I had to return to the bar. By the time I heard from them they were only serving from the late night menu which is only pizza and wings. Ummm how does this place have such a low rating? Went mid day on a summer Friday and had the best time. We sat in the way back, outside near the water's edge. A water taxi was Coming around and even answering questions for patrons. The inside was so cool, it's like old English mixed with sports pub, there are semi private nooks everywhere, might even be fun for a hot date! After much deliberation, got the staple; hazy Jane. The bartender gave me a taste of one or the newer beers and I just didn't care for it. Loved the Hazy Jane and OMG the craziest part. The Korean fried chicken fries, like are you kidding me??!!! My boyfriend described it as, so rarely do places have a solid ratio of toppings to fries throughout the length of an entire dish, but BREW DOG does it! Reserved a table for Wednesday wing night and the food was good. You get 10 wings first orders and then 5 after. They have 4 different sauces but you can't split the sauce so you get 10 wings with one sauce. Comes with blue cheese dressing, but if you want ranch they charge you $1 for it. We ended up ordering a total of 20 wing, they aren't very saucy. The best flavor was probably the sweet buffalo. We also ordered onion rings and fries for their 2 for $10 deal. Our waitress was nice but they were very understaffed. It took 5 minutes for the host to come to the front and seat us and about 10 minutes for the waitress to notice us and serve us water. Mind you, for the wing night you have a 2 hours limit. Wish management did better with staffing people on a busy night like wing night. We heard about the nice outdoor space and decided to grab a pint on a beautiful evening in Cleveland. The space near the river is well done. Comfortable with beautiful views. When walking inside we saw the sign related to service (see photo). We interpreted it as the visible patio was bar service, while the area pointing to the right was table service. While grabbing a pint at the bar we inquired with the bartender if we needed to order from her and then sit in the patio area just outside the doors. She said no and stated the opposite of this sign. I said OK, that I must have read the sign wrong. She replied with "I've been here for three years I think I know how it works." Why we decided to stay after this interaction is beyond me but we did. We went to BrewDog this afternoon for a quick bite and cocktail. We very much enjoy the aesthetic of the dining area and bar. There are so many places to sit. A living wall adds to the appeal. As well as the having more vegan options than other brewpubs. We ordered brunch, a cocktail and a beer. We were disappointed to see a majority of the beers were IPAs. There were a few stouts also, but an overwhelming majority were IPAS. Today the service seemed unusually slow. My husband ordered the breakfast and asked for over-hard eggs. The breakfast came out with eggs over easy, frozen hash browns and no tomatoes as stated on the menu. My avocado toast tasted good but was not appealing to the eye. They gave us a pitcher of water and tiny cups, fine until I requested more water because it was hot and never got it. When I asked what the happy hour specials were, I was told it only covered 5 of the house beers and nothing else. He didn't even mention the food options. When my husband scanned the table plate for info it listed several items but we already ordered. When our food arrived to the table it was cold. My cousin did request for fresh fries and they replaced them. I ordered the Cajun fries and got regular fries so I asked for the mayo instead having it all replaced. The vegan burgers were not anything special but neither was the regular burgers (that is what my cousins ordered). I truly was hoping for the best, 2 starts because the space is really cool. I ended up here by sheer accident and I'm glad I did. BrewDog is surprisingly a good vibe and scene. They offered lots of different IPA beers and ciders. There's a little store with lots of souvenirs like shirts, coozies, and bottle openers. For food, I decided to order the chicken wings, which are supposed to be sweet and spicy, but it's not too spicy. I love how crispy the skin is and meaty they were. My friend ordered the giant soft pretzel with beer cheese and she said she enjoyed it. Then I ordered a tasting flight of three different ciders. First the Dead and Berried cider, which tasted like a nice sangria, the pineapple punch cider, and apple heist, which both were light and refreshing. I definitely would order these ciders again. Also the service was outstanding. The hostess seated us right away and Darryl our server was friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. This is a great place to go if you just wanna hang out with friends, and grab a drink, and eat some bar food. Brewdog has both indoor and outdoor seating available. There's chairs at the bar, as well as tables, couches, etc. any configuration you can think of. The downstairs area also has some gaming machines and pool, though I've never personally played them. They look really fun though! The outdoor space in the summer is incredible. There are lots of seating around fire pits, as well as people playing corn hole. You can either order food and drinks at the bar, or sit down and wait to be served. If you're just getting drinks, it's probably more efficient to get it at the bar. However if you also want finger food, waiting for a server may be more helpful. That being said, it often takes a while for the server to actually come around, and while they are pretty speedy with the drinks, it definitely takes a while for the food to come out. I've been here multiple times, and enjoyed both the cocktails as well as the ciders, given that I'm not a beer person. I also split the buffalo cauliflower bites and french fries with friends, and really enjoyed both of them. I hope to be back soon. I definitely want to try more of the food, and soak in the Cleveland summer while I can. read more

"Came for the burger" While out in TheLAND with some family visiting from Europe, we were looking for a good spot to have a GOOD AMERICAN BURGER, as it would be a unique experience for the visiting Europeans. We tried 2 of their burgers off the menu. They were amazing. Fresh, delicious, and perfectly paired ingredients. I wish I knew which ones they were, but I forget the names on the menu. Inside was very cool! Rustic, Industrial-style walls and steel beams, lots of space for couples, smaller and larger groups as well. Plenty of TVs to catch a game if needed.
