I will never order from this location again. Ordered my pizza at 6:45 for delivery. The website said the ETA was 8:58pm. I tried calling to tell them I would be picking my pizza up in person. I held for 20 minutes with no answer all for someone to pick up and hang up on me. I called back pick up and hung up. Called back again pick up hung up. Called again FINALLY got someone on the phone as I was turning in. I told her I was pulling in to get my pizza instead of it being delivered. I'll start out by saying, I really like Johnny's Pizza!! Only posting this so others will know since it's not advertised. If you order thick crust original crust you will get two pizza doughs stacked on top of each other. If you like this then you don't have anything to worry about. It's just hit or miss these days. The food is always great in my opinion. But the wait times and staff can be the only issue. This is hit or miss too tho. Sometimes our food is ready very quickly, and the staff is super kind! Our orders have also always been correct. We went to Johnny's pizza house yesterday. Underwhelmed is not strong of a word to capture our opinion. As we walked in the door and it was apparent the heat was off completely. It' was approximately the same temp in the dining room as it was outside (very cold). My wife and son then decided to order a pizza while we waited for our party (medium deep dish and cinnamon sticks). We sat down and waited, and waited, and waited. Our friends arrived and we waited some more. As the only people in the place and 5-6 employees in the viewable kitchen, we were surprised at the time it took to get our food. Frustrated, my wife went up to counter to ask for our food to go and watched every employee scurry out of a back room and attempt to "look like they were working." Our pizza was found under a heat lamp when inquiring about our meal...again...the only people in the dining room. We won't be back. read more

Petitioning the Barksdale store be removed from Delivery Apps. Regardless of what app ive used to deliver for over the last 4 years this location never has delivery orders confirmed. I have to confirm them when I arrived. At 640pm you should have already made sure your tablets are plugged in and charged. This is extremely poor management. Pizza is not bad when it is correct. However add 30 to 45 minutes to the time they tell you your pizza will be ready.

I am originally from the edge of Haughton and Bossier City, and as a child my family and I used to get Johnny's Pizza with my family every other week. We would go to the location and my brother and I would play arcade games like Double Dragon and Shinobi and music from the jukebox like Michael Jackson and Vanilla Ice. Ever since then, we've made an effort when we come to town to order at least once from Johnny's. I have friends from all walks of life who have moved away from Louisiana all over the country, and every one of them is the same way. It doesn't matter if they are living out of an apartment in Alabama by themselves as a bartender and only eat ramen and McDonald's or lives in Tennessee in a 5000 sq ft house with their wife and 2 kids as a lawyer who enjoys staying at the Mansion at Turtle Creek when stopping in Dallas for business... If they are in town in Bossier, visiting family, they want to make sure to grab some genuine Cajun food... and at least a couple of pizzas from Johnny's. I know that Johnny, the original owner passed away relatively recently, but I hope the magic he somehow created in making his incredibly unique and delicious type of pizza NEVER changes. I've ordered from here a few times, the pizza is usually good but the customer service needs some work, the people I talk to on the phone are usually nice but the drivers are really awkward, like one girl delivered one time and didn't even say one word, or smile, maybe she was having a bad day idk. One time someone showed up wearing an apron, I thought that was weird and kinda gross. They have forgotten my drinks a few times and had to bring them back, so by the time they make it back I've already finished eating which is kinda frustrating. We had to tell the girl at the counter our order 4 times. It was just a pizza dine in and sandwich to go. She still looked confused . We found a clean booth. There were 3 booths dirty the food and trash everywhere. As we sat and waited 3 other people in booths left and no one attempted to clean anything. Our pizza arrived, not many toppings on it. We were about done eating a girl came over with our sandwich on a platter and cold. We told her it was to go. She walked back towards the kitchen and tossed the sandwich on a empty table. My wife had to go ask for a to go box, she asked for the manager and all she got was a blank stare. She told them about the sandwich. We finally got it in about 5 minutes with very little in the sandwich. We will never go or order from that location again. read more

We ordered bread sticks and pizza.....after 30 minutes I asked where the bread sticks were, the guy behind the counter asks the other workers and then throws a set of bread sticks in the oven and says they'll be right out. About half way through our pizza bread sticks show up and was told that the previous order was for someone else, She apologizes and says their staff is really behind tonight. I've been a fan of Johnny's Pizza for 30 years and have rarely been even slightly disappointed. Whether it's a basic pepperoni or fully loaded "Sweep the Kitchen", it's my favorite pizza. If you don't know what's a "Sweep the Kitchen," you can lookup the exact toppings, but basically it's all the good toppings in just the right mixture. But be careful, there are anchovies on it. I always ask for that to be removed. The other thing to watch out for is the jalapeño peppers. I keep those on there, but some don't. To get a perfect pizza I always have to call even if I ordered on the app. The reason is that I like the pizza "bricked" which is just cooked longer so that the crust is more crunchy. It's frustrating that I can't make that adjustment on the app, but it isn't a choice. Speaking of choices, you can choose any kind of crust thickness. You can even order NO crust, which helps with carbs. Of course, there are other choices such as how much sauce and extra ingredients. Now, let me tell you about coupons! Get on the mailing list and you will almost always have a coupon that will bring the price down. Watch out with the delivery charge. I can't remember the exact amount, but it's between $3-$4 and that's not the tip. By the time I add a $5 tip and the delivery fee, we usually just go pick it up. One nice thing about picking it up is they have a pretty yummy salad bar. If you are a big eater or have hungry teenagers you might take advantage of a buffet at certain times. Johnny's Pizza is pretty wonderful! However there is room for some improvement. I'd like a gluten free crust and a bit faster checkout at pickup! read more

I have had Johnny's before, heck, who hasn't however this review is for the location itself. Son and I on our Sunday of adventure decided pizza was it and Johnny's is close to the house, glad we came. Staff were friendly, and prompt. Wish I could have talked my son into the buffet. Ordered a maui wowee for me , him a small cheese pizza and some cinnamon sticks for treat. Place was packed and food came fresh and reasonably fast considering. My pizza was spot on and my son who normally doesn't eat much almost devoured his and ate several slices of cinnamon sticks. Great atmosphere, remiss of growing up and going to the pizza places, glad my son got to take it in as well. Will definitely be back. read more

I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN. I would say no stars! I ordered for pick up. I was told 30 min. I showed up at exactly 30 minutes. I was told 15 more minutes. At the 1 hour mark I asked and was told they were still making it. It wasn't even in the oven. I understand they are busy but tell me that up front when I order. There is a huge discrepancy in a 30 minute wait and what would have been at least an hour and 15 minute wait. IT might have been even longer but I had to leave so I got a refund but no pizza. As I was waiting I heard them tell someone else the wait was 30-35 minutes but they had at least 15 tickets hanging down the machine and a lobby full of others waiting to get their to go orders as well. This is great, locally (well Monroe, LA) owned pizza. Not the most glamorous storefronts, which like most pizza joints are run by young people. The original crust is nice and buttery, and the toppings can be creative. Our favorite is the Sweep the Kitchen (supreme). This Johnny's has had some recent changes over the last few months, and not for the better. Johnny's is an icon in the pizza business in this area. I've been eating there for at least 30+ years. I cannot recommend this location though and here are the reasons: The last 3 times I have ordered out (30.00+) the pizza has been undercooked, had way to much sauce, or didn't taste right. Each time the pizza was obviously undercooked, especially the cinnamon sticks ( RAW dough). To much sauce just makes it worse. Until they address their problem here I would advise to go to another location. This one has issues. read more
