Updated review; Unfortunately my past experiences were just that. In the past. I Ordered a pan pizza and cheesy bread sticks. Sounded like a nice lazy Saturday summer lunch!! But Upon opening the box of bread sticks they were dark brown and as hard as a rock. Clearly they had cooked before and reheated in the oven. They weren't even edible. The taste was as if the oven hadn't been properly cleaned in a very long time. When opening the pizza the toppings were a mess and the crust was barley even cooked. A mess of water was underneath the pizza! I could only have one piece due to it tasting like a dirty oven and they amount of greasy water. The mushrooms tasted like they came from a can and the sausage was hard on the top. Not sure how this pizza went so wrong.... I love pizza and can usually handle a little grease but this was crazy. I won't be ordering here again. Which is a bummer since it's a local restaurant and close to my house. Seriously.... What a dang bummer!!! I hate leaving negative reviews. But this was just the worst pizza I have had in a long time.

What can I say, John's Pizza Cafe is by far one of the best in the Twin Cities, possibly even anywhere. Their selection of toppings alone is amazing, I mean, you can get just about anything you could want, and it's always delicious, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The portions are exceptionally generous! I have actually never dined in at the new location (across the intersection from the old location), despite ordering for delivery or pick-up for many, many years. The staff has always been friendly, charming, and never expressed impatience as I dallied over what ingredients I wanted in any of my orders. Their pizzas are really amazing, but I am seriously in love with their Stromboli and my fiance is a big fan of the Calzone. This last weekend for a Birthday we ordered and it was fantastic, they're consistently wonderful.

My go to pizza/burger joint with my kids. Their pizzas are always good and cheesy, usually quick service and polite staff. My favorite burger here is the Tennessee BBQ burger. It's big and can get sloppy so I normally cut it in half. Most of the time, I end up eating only half or a bit more since we usually order other food such as their applewood bacon mac and cheese which is super cheesy and creamy. My kids loved their french fries served with ranch.

Ordered it online. Pep and mushroom. Good stuff, and they were on the nose with the delivery. I'll have it again!

It's a little on the expensive side but I found it worth the extra money. I loved the vegetarian options which were unique and delicious!

Favorite "traditional" pizza crisp crust and well proportioned toppings. Only downside is no beer.

Great pizza. One of the best deep dish pizzas in town. That thing will put you out after a night of drinking. Amazing.

The sauce that came with it is also a perfect pairing to the dish. The 4 pieces really fill you up so definitely good for its price. Portions are definitely good at this restaurant and you can easily find street parking in the neighborhood behind. Mohinga was okay. It was behind the first two times I came here. The fish cake in Mohinga was tasty as well as the fried peas. The boat noodle has very rich flavor. Broth was good and they gave generous amount of bean sprouts. La Phat Ye was good. They normally don't offer iced but we asked them to change. Overall, it's a great restaurant with decent prices and we hope that we can get back into business ASAP.

In terms of food, there is a mixture of Burmese, Thai, and Karen dishes, and each one that my friends and I have ordered has been a hit. The tea leaf salad has amazing texture because of peanuts and fried garlic, which provide crunchiness, and has amazing flavor because of lemon juice, fish sauce, and tomatoes. The noodle salad has a light taste without adding the given lime piece, and then the rich nutty taste gets evoked and elevated upon adding lime juice. The zaap crispy has very well-seasoned fried chicken pieces, and medium spice level gives it a good amount of flavor. The shan khao soi is so creamy and tasty that even tasting the curry broth itself is a sensational experience, and the chicken leg included literally has "fall off the bone" meat. The boat noodle has a mixture of sweetness and savor, while the sweet flavor does not overpower anything at all. Finally, the mohinga clearly has fish cake flavor and texture fully infused, making it authentically delicious. We also ordered the knyaw iced salad, which was a mixture of ice along with crackers and other types of sweet ingredients. I thought it was very similar to a type of Vietnamese dessert called chè ba màu (three color pudding), and fully enjoyed it. The establishment only had one dessert, and I thought that was sufficient. While the street contains many excellent restaurants, I personally believe that this establishment stands out in terms of taste. I must also mention that since my friends and I arrived when barely anyone else was there each time we had gone there, we never experienced any service delays that some have mentioned in their reviews. I probably will give this place a 5 rating anyway even if I experience slowness, although I hope I don't.

The ambiance is lively but also a spot to enjoy and maybe lock in. My group of 3 was sat at this circular table, it didn't really accommodate space and our food, but luckily I was the only one with food. The coffee kind of sucks, lots of milk and not warm enough. It tastes like it should cost what it did, and my parents were upset with it. They didn't finish theirs and they're the kind of people to order multiple, so that speaks for itself. The food was okay but I don't quite understand the vibe of this place yet. It's a mix of a bakery but with food, so I can't tell if I should come hungry or plan on grabbing a bite.

We ordered an old fashioned and a beer to cheers a new job offer I had received, then Fish & Chips, and the Porketta Cubano Sandwich. The meals were hearty and cooked well, very large portions, and hit the spot. I love the addition of giardiniera to add pops acid to break up an otherwise meaty & cheesy sandwich. We street parked behind the building in a residential area and walked to the restaurant. If you're looking for a great patio, standard, yet slightly elevated bar fare, and good vibes, this is a great spot! Note: the patio had lots of bees.
