I purchased my Bullfrog Spa last year from Islandia Pools. I had my previous ThermoSpa for almost…read more15 years and repaired it 7 times during that period. Every problem I had with the ThemoSpa and every repair I did was typical wear and tear because of the way the spa was engineered. So when it came to purchasing my new Spa I did my research. I looked at manufactures and how they approached the building of their product. I couldn't believe how spot on Bullfrog was in their approach. No wood in the cabinet, 2/3 less plumbing because all the jets are in the removable seats that attach with a one connection not 80 different tubes runing all around the inside of the spa. And a real big plus is that EVERYTHING of import that needs to be serviced is on one side of the cabinet. So having picked the product I started looking for a dealer. I live on long Island, and there are 4 dealers within a reasonable distance. I called each and told them that I had the old spa to take, then I needed to build a new platform for the new spa, then it could be delivered. That was a problem for two of them, one wanted to charge me an extra $1,000 to remove the old spa and then there was Islandia Pools. I called and spoke to Nicole the product manager and told her my problem. That was all it took - She asked me to come down and try some jetpacks, gave me a price that was the least expensive of any of the 4 dealers in the area and most importantly, she made me feel comfortable that they would do whatever it took to get me into my new spa as quickly as possible. She had the owner call me to help with my plans for the new platform and was always there when I facetimed him with my questions. So its been a year since the installation, I use the Spa at least 5 times a week and I couldn't be happier. The jetpacks are really spectacular. I think they have about 16 different packs to choose from. Each one is designed for a different purpose but all that I tried were spectacular. If you are thinking about getting a new spa and this is your first, just remember, whatever the spa comes with in terms of jets is what you have to live with for the rest of the spas lifetime. With the bullfrog, you get to pick and if for some reason you aren't happy just get a relatively inexpensive replacement. I got it with an Ozonator and use chlorine as my disinfectant. That is a combination I highly recommend as it is easy to maintain, chemical costs are very very low and the water is always clean with very little chemical smell. I give this product and Islandia Pools a 5 Star rating as both exceeded my highest hopes for a good experience.

The customer service and any care of customer retention has really gone downhill since I first…read moreinstalled this hot tub in 2012. We had a service call to the tune of $225 plus tax to look at a slow leak. My husband had already troubled shot this and I told them it was a crack in the light bulb. The service called was canceled last minute then rescheduled and I was promised arrival time of 8-9. By 10:30 nobody was here and no call. I had to reach out a few times to find out when the tech would be here. He was here for 15 minutes confirmed cracked light. A week later I still had not received an invoice to order part and have that installed. Again took 3 calls to receive the estimate. Upon receiving it- the company is charging another $225 service call to install the light which costs 43 dollars online. I called and called never receiving a call back or an answer if they could work with me (a customer since 2012) on the two service calls totaling 450 plus taxes on a part that is 43 dollars. No call back, No email nothing. Finally, the owner Dave gets back to me after i sent a follow up Email . He basically said they will work with its but a week later he has yet to actually say " how they will work with me" and I've asked multiple times. The service call was 5/22 and as of today no part ordered nor any follow through one way or another from them, I DO NOT recommend using them for spa needs. Their call back and customer service is AWFUL and Dave (the owner) is down right nasty and unhelpful. Signed - a former customer In response to the owner's reply- yes I did know how the service calls work. That is why I said I inquired if you would work with me on the service calls. The part was 43 dollars (52 on your invoice) online yet the cost for service was almost 500 dollars! 225 plus tax each time tech was here. Total on first call was 15-20 minutes. I thought for good customer relations you would work with me on service calls. Clearly not. However, you could have just said No instead of giving me the run around and never actually an answer.
