Dan came out today to check an intermittent problem in my cistern system, which he was not able to find but he did explain to me all the things he was checking (basically everything) and gave me tips on what to try if it happened again. We needed to change the location of our water filter. I called John's because they did our well inspection report when we bought the house. I got an estimate over the phone based on a few photos and a 10 minute conversation with Lee. Daniel showed up to do the work and he was very knowledgeable and professional. Worst experience ever. Don't bother with this company if you value your time and sanity. Called and got someone, which was better than the first we tried. Came out, said we "needed a part" which they said they would order themselves I guess? and left... never called back, followed up, replied to texts; just straight up ghosted us. They wasted TWO weeks of our time with LIES. An unprofessional company of ghosting LIARS. 10 years in business? BIG DEAL. We had a broken pump for 6 weeks with 2 of those wasted with these people. Want a good service? Go with Boulder GWS LLC: water well service (if this is your area). We called and they put us on the emergency list because we had no water and promptly got everything done; always answered texts and kept us informed of the schedule. Amazing company and experience. We lost water pressure on Thursday. Once the pressure tank emptied, no water flowed in the faucets or toilets. I searched for a repair service and inadvertently found Angi's List (now Angi). They scheduled a plumber from Cheyenne to come to our cabin near Allenspark on Monday. In the meantime, we went to a nearby campground to use the outhouse. On Monday, I received a text saying the appointment was rescheduled for Wednesday. That's when I found John's Well Service. I called Monday morning and they showed up that day with all the correct equipment. Wonderful service! They tested all of the components before replacing the deep well submersible pump. I would rarely consider writing a review about any business, but based on so many poor recent experiences with other businesses, I wanted to express my appreciation for the level of service I recently experienced with John's Well Service. Having just moved into the mountains I wasn't familiar with having a well. I had a couple mechanical problems with the UV and filter and didn't realize that John's could service this equipment, I tried finding solutions elsewhere. As soon as I contacted John's they responded promptly, came up and not only explained my whole system to me, they took care of other problems I didn't know about. After all was said and done, I wanted to make sure that I gave them a 5 Star rating. I couldn't have had a better experience and learned a lot in the process. I have been a customer since 2006. After the 2013 floods Scott stopped by on his own to check the condition of our well and got it up and running again for us he also took care of a furnace issue that was occurring while he was there,(all at no charge). In 2018 our main water line from the well to the house broke and flooded the garage. Matt came by and dropped off the new water line. I buried the new line and stubbed it up at both ends. Matt returned the next day re-plumbed everything and we were back up and running the next day. In 2021 we had an issue with our pressure pump this time Kevin was dispatched. He diagnosed, repaired the problem, all in less than one hour. In all of three of these examples above we were not at home. This kind of service is hard to find these days!!! Do I trust them? Do they take Pride in their work? Are they dependable? YES!!! I would not recommend anyone else. They are the Best! read more

Just had John's well service out to my house. Hope you get better service than we did. 1. Within 5 minutes of being at the house, the service tech said "I'm sorry, you need to drill a new well and it costs 40K." 2. After about 10 minutes, he said its probably an issue with the pump 3. After an hour and replacing a pipe, he said "you're probably going to be alright but need a new tank." I'll give credit where it is due. They get 2 stars because they came quickly and on a sunday in the mountains...other than that, we won't be using the service again. read more

I've used Johns a couple times over the last twenty yrs and was satisfied in the past. It's been several yrs since. Very recently I reach out to them for a service call to diagnose/troubleshoot my lack of water pressure. I've called 3 times and spoke with their receptionist who assured me they'd call me back to schedule something. Not one of my 3 calls in as many weeks have been returned. I guess they don't need business these days and don't have the consideration to just tell customers this. I definitely won't bother with them again in the future. read more

These guys are great. I woke up this morning and discovered no water pressure. Pressure tank ok, power to the well head ok but no water coming from the pump. I called them at 9am and Scotty was there by about noon. My well is in a difficult to reach area but this was no problem as Scotty brought a small, portable device to pull the pump and pipe. Mike Overly the owner stopped by part way through the operation and together they had the pump replaced, back in the well and working by mid afternoon. Scotty is incredibly friendly and explains the entire process as he works. It's clear he knows what he is doing. Great people and great service. read more

We read some of the other reviews on Yelp before we called John's and we actually called them based on these reviews. John's Well Service is the most unprofessional well service in Boulder County. John's put in a new pump for our well, refused to adjust the pump when it was not performing as promised, when we called for additional work the lady who answered the phone was impolite even before we asked for anything, said that she didn't want to bid on our work and hung up on us. We would recommend that if you have well service to be done, stay away from Johns Well Service at all costs. read more

Best well service in Boulder County! These guys know what they are doing and do it for a reasonable price. They will work with you until the problem/issue is resolved. I had a pump go out and they came out multiple times to fix it. Only one invoice for one repair. Great company, locally owned and run. Other well companies did not tell me the truth when I was bidding work out. John's is the best in the County and my family has used them for 25+ years. read more

John's Well Service has gone over and beyond as far as their services with us. My husband and I were new to well and septic so we tried to do as much research as possible before buying our house in January 2015. They came out to test and inspect our well before closing on our house and answered any questions I could come up with at the time. I called to follow up with a few more questions and they kindly spent 20 minutes talking to me about any and all concerns we had. Months in, our water stopped working and we called to ask if they could come out to check it. They came out within only a couple hours to successfully fix the issue. Most recently we had an issue with our pressure. We called last minute to ask for some advice over the phone but unfortunately all the techs were out for the afternoon. That's OK, we'll try to call back tomorrow. Oh wait, John's well showed up at our front door only 2 hours later to fix our pressure! John's Well Service will definitely have our business for years to come. read more

Great service! We discovered a leaky pipe that connected most of our indoor water utilities to pressure tanks. This company came to our house soon after we called and did the repair in a very efficient way and without wasting any time. We have had them repair our well in connection with a more major water problem and they were responsive then also. read more
