He said he needed to order a couple of parts. 5 weeks later, with no word from them, I called them back, and was told the parts had come in and they would be out the following Tuesday at 9 a.m. to do the repair. He certainly understood the problem, dryer & how to fix it. He was responsive to my emails, accommodating to our schedule, and showed up on time. He was a man of few words, which was nice because I didn't feel like we had to make small talk. I had Sam come out and install my new double oven, he came out and took a look and saw that the power cable provided wasn't long enough so he worked with me and I bought a terminal box to use to create an extension so that if and when it needed to be repaired it could be done so much easier, much appreciated there. We went with Choice One after reading all the other great reviews. Sam was on time and here less than an hour. He fixed our wash machine and gave us great advice on how to use and maintain it. Absolutely amazing experience - our (not very old) washer had stopped adding water to the drum. After attempting to fix it myself, I contacted Choice One and they were able to come help on very short notice. We selected Choice One Appliance Repair based on the great reviews here. Our dryer wasn't heating anymore and decided to call a professional. I'm comfortable with DIY projects, but after looking at many YouTube videos, diagnosing the actual problem involved more than I was comfortable doing. Very glad we called, what the videos didn't go into is how much is involved in just exposing the parts. After he arrived, he had the dryer disassembled and the problem diagnosed in about 20 minutes. I called Sam with an urgent install of a dishwasher after Lowes told me they couldn't install their dishwasher because it is no longer sold there (apparently, I got the last one) after I just bought it from them. Their demo was still on display but yet they can't install it???. Bad brownie points for Lowes this time (normally very good). From booking to the tech coming out, it was so effortless and they really are so nice. I had trouble finding the serial numbers on my units and the girl on the phone walked me through it all. If you give them the model and serial numbers when you book they most likely can fix issues day of. I didn't have the model for the range but they retrieved it and will come again to fix it in less than a week. Sam, the tech who came out, was super nice and found the issues fast and explained and showed me exactly what was going on. He also fixed the fridge issue really quickly. A few weeks ago I used Choice One to install a new dishwasher. Who knew - after living in my house for 22 years, WITH a dishwasher, I have a non-standard installation! The dishwasher is around a corner and far from the drain. Kate went to trouble to schedule me, even after a snowstorm disrupted the delivery and the rest of the planning. Also, I was ostensibly outside their service area. Sam did a beautiful job installing my dishwasher. I'm an engineer, I care about these things. AND, he made my non-standard installation standard by installing a valve at the right place and increasing the width of the drain tube. He didn't have to do that, but he just did it. It made my engineering heart glad. This is as good as service gets, and I don't say that lightly. I will absolutely call Choice One for my next appliance need. read more

I had Choice One Appliance Repair come out in July for a problem with my newer refrigerator to cooling enough. The repair required parts that took a little over a week to get in and Sam came back to install and get it running. in September the same problem occurred again and we called Sam came out again said different part needed and the same thing happened took about a week and then it seemed fine her we are in December and the same problem has occurred again. I have tried to get them to come back or even just call me and all I get is crickets. I used this company because of the great reviews I guess all the negative ones didn't get published. Choice One is an honest business. I called Choice One to repair my cooktop. After coming to my house and inspecting the cooktop, it was decided that parts would need to be ordered to complete the repair. I agreed to be charged for the parts in advance, and then when the parts arrived, the repair would be completed. Later in the week, my wife decided that she would prefer a new cooktop, rather than to repair the old one. I called Choice One, and they were able to cancel my parts order and send me a check to refund my money. Life went on, and somehow i missed the check they sent. Just before the new year, Choice One sent me a new check with a note letting me know that they noticed that i never cashed the original check.
