I took my new van into them with a transmission problem and three other problems. They return the van to me within 24 hours and told me all was fixed. Immediately I realized that they failed to fix the transmission and soon find out that they failed to fix the other three problems (one of which was some recall they slammed the other dealership for not fixing.) The service writer Ken was very helpful but the renal car company which is in the dealership can not seem to get me a rental car. 4-5days later on a Friday night the van fails and leaves my wife stranded over 40 miles from home. Chrysler will not tow it to the dealer that failed to fix it but rather to a dealership that is 50 miles from my house. They also leave her on the side of the road at 10pm. I returned to them and they basically told me that sucks but that's how Chrysler works. Call them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS! read more

I called today to inform the service department that yesterday, February 9th, that I had witnessed one of their mechanics: a white man with short hair, driving an older blue dodge truck, in his blue uniform, drinking a bottled beer at a red light a little after 1PM. The last example is a M6 that leaks water from the first car wash. The attitude is you're on your own. $2500 later in repairs out of my pocket. The last of January I 2022 purchased a replacement for my 2018 Jeep that had been totaled. The car was stated to be Certified and came with a extended warranty. My wife found a defect in the moon roof and the dealership said they would fix it. The sale associate said it would be fixed in two weeks. Today it was finally fixed, 5/11. Supply chain issues of course. Due to a bogus trip to try and replace the moon roof with a 2017 part which the service department did not do their due diligence we ended up putting 600 miles on my vehicle to try and get it repaired. The sales associate said he would provide a loaner which ended up being an empty promise. I contacted the owner to let him know that the buying experience was going south. He called and left his cell phone but when I called he did not answer. On the positive side Robert, Director of Reconditioning was the epitome of a positive customer service experience. Lesson to be learned...Anything the sales associate promises need to be in writing. I should have anticipated that at my age....shame on me. read more

Absolutely the worst experience at a car dealership which should have a low bar of success. Sales department secured my deposit for a new truck. Without any warning or apology they told me via voicemail that they have given my truck to someone else because it was more convenient. I bought a Certified Preowned 2019 GMC Sierra SLT 4x4 w. Premium Pkg II on 12/31/20. The truck has been in the shop 4xs for specifically the same problem, the brakes and a leveling kit, which severed the CV Boot on the axle. I brought the vehicle in for the CV Boot/Axle to be replaced, which was replaced within 1 day. I picked it up with 28k miles, which comes with the Certified Preowned Warranty. When I picked the truck up the brakes still had the same problem. The calipers wont completely release, so the brakes squeal Like they're down to the wear indicators but there's 90% of the pads left. They said that was normal and they'd eventually stop making the annoying squealing noise. Now, I'm currently at almost 44K mileage. A total of 4 trips to the shop and the problem still exists. They are a typical car dealership, when you're buying, your worth their time. If you're there for warranty work, well lets just say you're an imposition to them. They'd much rather take your money than stand behind the vehicle they've sold you with a warranty. I also encountered something out of the ordinary. When I've bought vehicles in the past and that would be about 10 cars in 20 years, Ive always used a "Letter of Credit," from my Federal Credit Union, to take possession of the cars, no money down. Out of all of the dealerships, Johnson Auto Plaza, was by far the worst, Ive ever encountered, when it came to accommodating me on an expedited sale of the vehicle. So, if your used to using a letter of credit, beware of this place. If you like a dealership that's not all talk, when it comes to the walk, of servicing your vehicle or especially warranty, I'd buy elsewhere. I bought my jeep here in May 2020. I live in the country where the postal service doesn't deliver mail there. I told this to Chris in online sales dept. I was very specific that my mailing address was different. He didn't handle that properly, So it delayed my tags/plates because any correspondence was being returned "unable to deliver" I now have rec'd a bill from Express Toll which is charging me $50.00 in late fees for same mailing issue. I also referred a friend to Johnson's who bought a new Jeep. Johnson's Salesman told him they would send me $50.00 dollars for that referral. I have never rec'd it. If you live in the country I would not buy a vehicle here as they don't know how or care about separating mailing address from physical address. Since leasing my GMC Sierra from Johnson there have been three open recalls that had part shortages. Understandable that it is not in their control how long the parts take. Fast forward 18 months later and 10 plus calls to service department with 6 of those calls just being blatantly lied to and even on the last to calls that the parts have come in and to schedule an appointment. Scheduled appointment for weeks in advance because it was all they had available. Even called on Friday to make sure if I arrange to drop off the truck on Sunday night that the parts are still available and ready for my appointment. All lies, went through all that trouble dropping the truck off and taking a $50 uber back to my house. No parts - only had a path detection that I already told them I didn't even care about and no heated seats or heated steering wheel like I just verified on the last two calls were available. Lied to back to back to back for months - they have no issue lying right to your face. read more

Update: was talked into trying their service one more time. If you have a warranty issue they drag it out. Still waiting on a phone call from June after they had the car for a week. Have called 6-7 times and no return call. Will be just taking it somewhere else. In my recommendation just go to another service shop. The sales team is awesome and straight forward. I wish I could break this up into sales and service as sales deserves more then five stars. We have purchased 2 cars from here and there will be a third in the future. As for service I couldn't be more dissatisfied. I had my charger in many times and it was not only scratched up but the interior somehow got dirty as well. Needless to say after so many problems that could not be fixed I traded it in. I was treated horribly by a few other service advisors. And your car will sit there for weeks before you hear anything. They had my truck 4 1/2 days and could NOT (did they even really LOOK at it?) figure out the continual loud squeel in my R front wheel. 20,000 miles, so warranty work, did they not want to do the work? Even I, as a non-mechanic, went: suspension, noise change with bumps? No. Steering: change with change of direction? No. Squeel not changed by speed, turning, braking, etc. I had already had front end alignment checked, brakes checked, tires checked, and yet they couldn't figure out the cause. Beyond frustrated with poor quality. My Big O would have had it done in one day. I am trapped due to warranty. read more

We stopped by looking for a possible trade in of our limited edition, 2016 muscle car for a truck. It took about 15 minutes to find somebody to help us. The dealer who found us was very condescending and, based on online blue book vales, we felt he low-balled the value of our car. He couldn't find one of the trucks we were interested in . He misdirected us to another vehicle we were interested in. This was during covid-19 and his mask was down around his chin. Kind of freaky! Will definitely not be going back there ever again. It took over 1.5 hours to get a standard oil change performed on my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I called ahead of time and asked what the wait would be like and if I could make an appointment. I was told we can get you in no problem, "30 minutes" was quote time I was given. After waiting 1.5 hours I was told it would be ready any minute and then I had to go check (over 20 minutes later) to see what was the status was. They also tried to charge me when I had a service plan with free oil changes already set up. Slow service with what seems like a lack of attention to detail. I don't know if perhaps service has had an overhaul but I had no issues here in the service department. I arrived without an appointment for a check engine light. I was worked immediately into the schedule by a very competent service writer named Jake King who took the initiative to not only scan the vehicle for codes but then check his computer to see that several campaigns had not been done and had in fact been missed by my other dealer. Subsequently he took the time while I was waiting to have these computer upgrades done on the vehicle without having to pull it in back to the service bay and the best part was it was all done for free. Yes, the vehicle is still under warranty but since I did not purchase here I was expecting a diagnostic charge and there was none. I'd go back here (they are very busy on Fridays and Mondays) again for my service work and even forego free oil changes back at Auto Nation for their service here. I am disappointed in Auto Nation for missing several of those computer upgrades - even telling me that my car was up to date - but that is for another review. PS - Service closes at 6 pm. read more

While I have had some problems with the service department Lonnie the service manager has always done what he could to make it right. I have now bought 4 new and 1 used truck from Johnson. About 10 years ago on the first purchase they gave me 1/2 of what they should have on a trade in so I didn't go back for a long time.(they gave me 10k then put on the lot for 24k) Few years ago after not making a deal manager Matt Boone came out very respectful and we discussed the deal in a way that didn't make me feel like I was at a used car lot and made a deal. Over the years Matt has helped me on my service problems as well as help me with a few things he didn't have to. When the new truck came out Matt gave me a call after seeing my name on a Costco price request and we worked out most everything over email. Remi has been by salesman for the last few years and has always let me shop at my own pace and will work hard to find the one you want. If you can get Remi as your salesman and Matt to work your deal you will leave happy and probably return year after year read more

They advertised a "Hail Sale" on the radio. " All hail damaged ordered to liquidate, no matter the profit or loss." They would only take off $4,000 on a $60,000 MSRP hail damaged truck!!! Misleading, and dishonest. FYI, when you buy a new vehicle, once you drive it off the lot, you loose more than $4000 on a $60,000 MSRP vehicle due to the fact it is now a used car. I purchased a 2015 Dodge Ram 3500 in December 2016. Since the purchase of this vehicle my veteran owned small business has had to close as the problems with this truck have increased to the point that now they are keeping the truck for MONTHS at a time. They got it in early may late april. I got it back July 2nd, 2017.... The morning of July 3rd, 2017 its being towed back into the dealership. they leave it outside so now I have also $6500 in hail damage and missing items from the inside of the cab. IE two jump boxes that the dealership told me I needed to keep in the vehicle to keep it running in March when I had to pull it out of the service department to try to keep my small business alive.... This dealership has no clue what they are doing and they will stand behind their work until you cant afford to pay for your vehicle anymore because you dont ever get it back working! read more

I dropped off a new 2015 dodge ram to get a wiring harness and a new back window put in. I was promised that the parts will be in within a week and it would be 10 hours worth of labor to get it done. Me being a little more realistic I understood it 15 to 20 hours of labor would probably be better. Telling me that I would have my truck back on a Thursday afternoon. I called him on Friday morning and they said that they were not have it done on Friday but it would be done for sure on Saturday because they knew how important my truck was to my small business. I called on Saturday to see what time I can pick up the truck. They proceeded to tell me that the truck will not be ready because they had to take care of all the other Saturday appointments and there was only one tech at the shop so once again I was lied to. I understand only having one attack in the shop that is not a problem. The problem lies in the fact that they were not proactive to get an extra tech in there and follow through on their promises. Also when I called upset about the truck I was told it was my fault and the other company who accidentally damaged the trucks fault not theirs that they are running behind. Not one single solution was offered to me. I have been yelled out by them, hung up on, and talked down to. Without a single solution, apology, or anything else just to help my family out.Not one single apology or anything just lies from the sales manager Ryan, to the shop tech Chris, and and a guy that goes by Lemke. I let them know how important his truck was when I dropped it off and if they could not follow through on their timelines that I would drop it off after the first of the year so that my small business would be running through Christmas. Unfortunately that did not happen. My small business is suffering due to not being able to pull my trailer to the shops that I have in Denver Aurora and Parker. This is unacceptable in so many ways and if my wife and I ran our small business with this type of customer service, or lack there of, my business would be a complete flop. If there were a review that was less than one star trust me it would be there. If you decide to go to this shop or dealership to buy a car I would recommend going somewhere else. I called the Dodge service dept while I was on the road with a transmission shifting problem in my '09 3500, they said come on in, drop your trailer in the huge dirt lot behind the shop and pull in to the service bay. Jake started a computer ecm diagnostic as soon as I pulled in, cleared all the codes and did a complete re-learn of the computer and trans. I bought this truck used so it's hard to say what the previous owner had done as far as a programmer, but back to stock my Cab & Chassis 3500 with the Aisin transmission has never shifted and ran so smooth. Fast and friendly, I'll go out of my way to come back when I need service on my truck. read more

I can't emphasize enough STAY AWAY from this place. I went with them because of the positive reviews (also why I'm leaving a review). This is the sleaziest purchase I've ever been involved with and I've purchased 5 brand new jeeps and 4 used cars. It started out well enough. I expressed to the salesman (Jose) that I had a price in mind and already had funding. If he was able to provide the vehicle at that price with my trade in, we had a deal. If not I didn't want to waste his time or mine. I agreed to drive my 2019 Jeep Wrangler down to the dealer to see what the trade in value was. I was slotted to arrive just before closing. I hopped in the vehicle with my wife and 4 year old and headed down ton not keep them waiting. 10 minutes before I arrived Jose called and told me that both vehicles I was supposed to test drive had been sold but that he had a couple with the same specs. I wasn't upset, i appreciated that he actually called to tell me. We arrived I gave him the keys to my Wrangler and my wife took a Grand Cherokee for a test drive. I sat in the office with my kid and talked prices. My wife returned and had no issues (its now 630 at night and snowing) we agree on a price but the trade in comes in about 8 grand under Blue Book or NADA and is certified preowned. I thanked Jose for his time and said maybe I'll be back if I can't find a better deal. Jose asks me to hold on. Enters Dave (the sales manager), and begins the used car saleman pitch. I tell him i don't want to finance. I'm already approved with 2 credit unions and I don't want an inquiry on my account. Dave talks to someone behind the counter and comes back with a closer trade in value but the overall price was near what I was looking for. As I sign more forms, Dave tells me I'm not eligible for the rebates included in the transaction (no military rebate despite it being advertised and I've gotten it before. I'm also not eligible for the Chrysler rebate unless I get a loan through Chrysler. Its nearly 9 pm now. Dave tells me to just finance through Chrysler and I can refinance through my credit union after 3 payments. I refused and we talk some more numbers. I find all kind of fees, like gas charges etc in the contract. Eventually I say screw it. I'll take the Chrysler financing at nearly double what I was offered. We finalize with Sonya the finance manager where I add window tinting, a clear bra and an extended warranty. The next day I get a call from Jose saying they lost the copy of my military ID and I need to sign some more forms but Dave is "pretty sure" he accidentally shredded it. I refused to sign more forms, if fact I discovered that I wasn't even given any of the forms i initialed with Dave & Jose. I requested those and was never provided them. Sonya did send me copies of the paperwork I processed with her. I also found out Johnson Auto Plaza ran my credit 2 other times without my permission. I asked them to remove them and was told "we don't know how" but if you call the credit bureaus we'll try to help. I wasn't able to make the tint appointment and cancelled. Sonya and I talked about getting the paperwork for the and she alluded to the fact that the JEEP could be taken back if I didn't sign. I sent a copy of my state ID and signed more forms so I could finally register it and get plates. I asked her to just cancel all the services so I could sever ties with the dealership and she said it could take up to 6 weeks. That was in late January. On top of that I spoke to chrysler capital and found out there was never any requirement to make a set number of payments before refinancing despite Sonya confirming it was indeed a requirement for the dealership and the finance company. I asked Chrysler to reach out after my complain was elevated and was told that they had but the dealership was not returning their calls either so I filed a complaint with the attorney general and received a response last month that everything was refunded. It still has not. Once again, stay far away from this place or at least the people named in this complaint. read more

I would stay CLEAR of this dealership! I purchased a 2020 Jeep Gladiator fully loaded From Johnsons auto. Purchased the service package also. I took my Jeep to Sterling Rod and Custom for a 3.5 inch lift kit. I drove my Jeep 1 month after lift kit and my rear Posi light came on. The Jeep had 8 k miles. I took it in for service and to have the light checked out. They called me and asked if my lift kit was professionally installed, I replied yes. The service writer informed me that the shop that installed the lift kit has stretched the wires going to my front and rear differential's. I told her I was bringing a trailer to pick it up. I drove it right to Sterling Rod and they put it right on the lift to investigate. We found NO damaged wires at ALL. They flat out LIED. Sterling Rod did their research and it's ALL over the internet about the posi lite issue. I then took it to a REPITABLE dealership where they are replacing the rear end under warranty! I will never go back, even for an oil change even though they are all PAID for. If they would LIE about doing warranty work who knows what they would LIE about. Our first experience buying was frustrating - but my daughter found her next vehicle there so she traded in the original purchase on her own. All was good until finance. They first sent the paperwork to the wrong credit union - and only conveyed that at the time her first payment was due and the credit union had no clue who she was. Then they pressured her to drop everything and run back to the dealership to make her payment and sign other papers that they forgot. Now her plates are due Monday and the county has no record of her either. Good thing she likes the car! But we won't go there again read more
