I bought a front load washer, not cheap. Salesman Mark was great, recommend this model. It is a GE! Delivered next day, bought pedestal for it. Brought in by delivery team. Not tested for loads. Once load was in, the washer shook like crazy. Called Johnson, said they would get delivery team out there, thinking pedestal was not adjusted right. Coins not get it adjusted right, said they were just delivery drivers nothing else they could do. Take in mind I and my husband had to personally go back to store to get some help, two days after purchase. After delivery team left, I literally got the run around telling me this was normal for front loader to shake. Nope gotta call GE warranty center, already, really. I was on phone for an hour on hold thru GE. Called back the store for manager because salesman didn't call me back. Finally got manager and he said he would look into it, and promised me that day he would call back. Yep, no call back. I begged the tech guy at the store for someone to look at, he said sorry booked out, have to wait until 4/10. So in the mean time two days after a purchase, I have to wait a month for techs to look at. I am not out of my mind! I have had two front loads before never this problem. I took the video. Had a great experience here with Jim. We were shopping for a washer and dryer and he was super helpful. He helped us find the models that best suited us without pressuring us or trying to "up-sell" us. He even helped to walk us through how we could take advantage of all the rebate opportunities as well. The delivery team was fine. The two men were very clean in getting both units upstairs and into the laundry room. The older man that came was pretty grumpy (knocking my review down to a 4 star), but the younger man was very sweet and personable, helping me to understand the units and any other additional questions I had. Long story short....WOULDNT GIVE ME MY VETERAN DISCOUNT BECAUSE OF HIGH SALES VOLUME. If you are looking to get a Military/Veteran discount don't go here if they are selling a lot of the item you are buying. They will tell you they can not give you one on that item at this time. Here is the rest of the story.... Was at Johnson Brothers appliances today where I was going to pick up a chest freezer. A gentleman name Mark was helping me and while purchasing I inquired as to if they gave a veteran or military type discount. He said they usually do but because they have been selling so many of these lately they couldn't offer one on it right now. I then said to him "so you aren't offering a discount on this right now because you're selling a lot of them"? He then said "these are usually marked a lot higher over $400". Evidently this made him feel like he didn't need to offer me any discount. He then added " oh I'm sure that the person on the phone gave you a really good deal, that is why you need to know who you spoke to". What this tells me is that Johnson Brothers is taking away a discount because of demand and they're more concerned with losing out on a few bucks than taking care of the veterans, and military personnel, in their community. To say the least I left without buying the freezer, and never did hear what they would offer as a discount for a Veteran. I Would definitely question their business ethic, and decision making, in regards to future purchases. I will not be returning and will advise my fellow military/veterans to go to Home Depot or Lowes where we always get our discount no matter what the price is or how many they are selling at that time. read more

Not really happy with the service we received from Johnson Bros. We purchased a panel ready dishwasher which had to be special ordered from the manufacturer. We were told estimated time to receive the dishwasher was early November. So in early November I contacted them to see when the dishwasher would arrive. I was told they expected it November 6th. When I did not hear from them, I contacted them again. This time I was told that the manufacturer said 10 weeks from date of order, meaning sometime around the beginning of December. A couple of days later I received an email saying that our dishwasher is in the store. I still owed a balance on the dishwasher, but no one at Johnson Bros. asked for it. The day the installer is to pick it up I receive a voice mail from installer telling me Johnson Bros will not release the dishwasher until the balance is paid. I called Johnson Bros and paid the bill over the phone. The party taking the card information said he will send me a receipt. The following day when I had not yet received the receipt. I emailed the salesman who sold us the dishwasher asking for the receipt. When I received the receipt it showed the dishwasher being sold to the installer instead of to us, who purchased and paid for the dishwasher. So again I requested a correct receipt. So far no receipt. I contacted Darren, the sales manager (sending him copies of the original order and the invoice showing the dishwasher sold to the installer) requesting a correct sales receipt. This is his response, "I am confused this is typically the receipt that everyone receives and it shows your payment in the lower right corner. Were you expecting something else? If so let me know but this is what we send all of our customers. Total Home WAS on the Order because he was selected as the installer and makes it easier to find your order when they pick it up". After a couple of more emails, Darren finally emailed me a corrected receipt. I have had less trouble having teeth pulled than getting the corrected receipt. read more

Tonight I am so excited to use my new dishwasher! The customer service I received from installer, Dillon was a great experience. Dillon took extra care in removing the old dishwasher and installing the new one. This delivery wasn't the easiest, as I have 18 stairs to enter the home. I expressed concern about doing any damage to the stairs. Dillon explained to me the process going up and down along with the special hand truck that had "bumpers" to pad each step. Dillon was careful to hook-up and check for possible leaks (none!). He ran the dishwasher to ensure it all worked properly. A job well done! I love shopping local! Under revised Oregon Statute Sec.72.8020 or ORS 72.8010, there is a applied warranty of merchantability that implies to every consumer good sold at retail in Oregon. the statue which implied warranty means the product "is fit for the ordinary purposes for which the good is used. We initially purchased a washer and dryer here and things went smoothly so we proceeded to order a kitchen full of high end appliances, Aga, Meile, Blue Star and others spending in excess of 22k. We had to submit the order multiple times before they took us seriously, correct their mistakes multiple times and spent months getting them to place the order accurately. When the appliances finally came every item was wrong. We spent months more getting them replaced while they used our tight space as storage for the wrong ones until they could be bothered to come pick them up. The refrigerator has custom paint which has scuffs that they wouldn't come inspect, asking for pictures instead. Pictures of scuffs are difficult to take due to reflective surface, so here we still sit with a $10k scuffed refrigerator. At no time did they offer a single apology or discount for the trouble they caused including the huge delay in our remodel schedule. I could have ordered everything on line, but chose to go local...big mistake! read more

They are dishonest crooks. Bad service. Their installer drilled 14 holes in the bottom of my over the range cabinet trying to install a microwave.. and left the bottom unattached with 3 holes in the Sheetrock that I had to repair. They stammered around the issue and then made me send them pictures instead of sending a competent installer immediately to rectify the problem. Which they eventually did but never offered to replace the cabinet that they ruined... I bought nearly $7000 worth of appliances from them including a refrigerator which they delivered just before I got a permit to occupy my new construction. After I moved in I noticed that the front door had a dent. When I told them, they first claimed no responsibility because it was a couple of days beyond their guarantee . Even though I was not in the house using the appliance. Again I had to send them pictures.. they said they would submit the information to Frigidaire claim department. After a lengthy period they got back to me saying Frigidaire claimed because of the material they used in construction it caused the door to look wavy. Then I asked for a copy of the communication with Frigidaire concerning the stainless material used to build the unit that makes them appear wavy... after several months of hearing nothing from Johnson Brothers I went back to the store and had conversation with the original salesman. First he could find no pictures so I brought one up on my phone showing obvious dent. When I asked for a copy of the communication from Frigidaire about it just being the material they use which is kind of wavy? No record available? Not to mention I had to install my dishwasher because their installer was incompetent! These people are a total rip-off. Myself, any of my family or friends will never do business with these people. Home Depot or lowes will give you a better price and service. So much for trying to help local businesses! F- no stars-crooked people. Pay up front and customer services are over. They love to switch and bait. They couldn't get the refrigerator I originally ordered but they had one with a water dispenser on the front door for no extra cost.. what a deal! Something they had damaged and was in their warehouse that some one else had rejected.. they don't have any morals as how to treat people.. My 15 year old wall ovens from Dacor (via Johnson Brothers) had baked their last cake. I contacted Mark Johnson and spoke with him about a unit I wanted installed. He researched my current oven size compared with the one I wanted and told me there would be some alterations needed to our cabinets as the sizes were slightly different. Ordered a new double wall oven November 0f 2020 and finally received July of 2021. Now I do understand that this is par for the course at this time. However, the lack of communication from the sales staff was practically non-existent. Upon receiving the oven and having it installed, all went well. After installation I called with a few operational questions and received very rude response indicating they had no knowledge of the product. I would think if you sell and represent a product you would have some knowledge of the product rather than responding to google it and the person I talked with didn't own an oven of this model so had not knowledge of it. What a great experience my mother and I had with Johnson Brothers Appliance!!! First of all, a few months ago Mark Johnson worked up a quote for my Mom on new kitchen appliances. He was very professional, proficient, and e-mailed the quotes right away. Unfortunately, we ended up going with Lowe's because they were having a sale and we were able to save money. Only problem is they didn't have an over the range microwave that matched the range. Fast forward to yesterday... contractor is coming this week to remodel Mom's kitchen and we don't have a microwave We go to Lowe's again and are told they have last years model in Redmond and it's on clearance ($169)We drive to Redmond Lowe's, get the microwave (turns out it was a floor model) and as Mom is paying I notice there is nothing inside the microwave (no plate) and no brackets to mount it. Appliance rep did try her best to find the parts but said that sometimes they just disappear, that she didn't sell the brackets, and didn't know how/where I could get them. Naturally, I wasn't going to have my Mom purchase a microwave with missing parts so we just had them refund the transaction right there (they took the money right out of her account but took two days to credit it back even though we returned it within minutes) and went back to Lowe's in Bend to see if there was another option. Bend rep was busy with other people and didn't seem too concerned about our situation so we ended up leaving. We went to Standard TV and appliance and barely even got a nod when we said we were just looking for a microwave so we decided to go back to Johnson brothers. John Whitson met us at the door, walked us throughout the store to look at microwaves and when we said the brand/style we were looking for he got right on his computer to research. He was so kind and helpful, engaging in conversation as he searched for Mom a microwave knowing full well that we ended up going with Lowe's for the bulk of her appliance purchase. He found one in Portland but also had one in the back room that another salesman Mike Gango was holding for a client. Turns out the other client called as we were there and said he wouldn't be needing it until March John said to give him some time to work his magic and he would call and let us know. John Whitson at Johnson Brothers appliances was able to get us that microwave that next day thanks to his charm, superior negotiation skills, and Mike Gango trusting in blind faith that another microwave will be shipped in time for his client to pick up March 1st. All this for a $350 microwave! This folks, is the reason we should always shop local even if it may be a little more expensive- you just cannot get this type of customer service at larger chain stores. At Johnson Brothers Appliance they addressed us by name, shook our hands, and went above and beyond to meet our needs! I contacted Johnson Brothers as they are the only authorized dealer in Oregon for the SKS product line that I was searching for. Daniel Fausette, the sales representative that worked with me over the phone had all the right answers and was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. I placed the order over the phone and last week the appliances were delivered, sooner than expected. Installation by the Johnson Brothers service department will be scheduled when at our Grants Pass kitchen remodel is ready for them. I appreciated reminders by Daniel to take advantage of the manufacturer's instant rebates. I have not been to the retail store and the entire $30,000 plus order was accomplished by phone and email. Johnson Brothers supplied all our home appliances during a build in 2009 with great success. Thought I'd go local again and order a refrigerator in July 2020. Due to Covid, they indicated it could take several weeks. I called in September 2020 after not hearing anything and was told it was now scheduled to arrive on November 23rd. I called in November and learned it was now December 21st. In December I was told it would be January 19. I called again January 15 to confirm delivery and was told it might be January 26th. Sadly, there was no follow through or contact from them on status. I requested a refund which I'm hopeful I don't have to follow up on as well. On the same day I called Costco and ordered a refrigerator which is scheduled for delivery on January 21st and have received multiple emails and voicemails regarding the order. While I'd have preferred to stay local, it's tough to beat quality service. read more

We have used Johnson Brothers appliance before and had a great experience, so we called them again. Even though they were busy, they fit us in to deliver a new washing machine the following day (a Saturday)! Mark Johnson has great customer service and sensed the urgency we had for the delivery. We special ordered an LG refrigerator that ended up being too big for the designated space . Our fault , totally owning it.as we did not measure properly. Indeed, before bringing in the unit, The delivery guy JJ (who was awesome) eyeballed the location and warned us of this fact. JJ also disclosed that if they attempt an install and we are not happy with the fit, there is a restocking fee . Yep , makes sense- I get that. An opened box return on special order probably wouldn't sit well with their distributor. So we declined that they even take the box off their truck. Then I got the JB rep, Darren, on the phone. I explained that we''ll we'd have to reconsider our choices of refrigerators as we'd be limited to just mdl/mfg cabinet-depth selections. "No problem says Darren, but we'd have to pay 15% restocking fee if we chose not to go with JB on the replacement.". LOL huh? Again , sealed box, never left the truck - Oh, but he'd waive this fee if we went with him. I'm over a barrel on this as I was living out of a Coleman cooler for three weeks waiting for delivery. So I agreed on a model and Darren said that he could deliver same day as it was in his store. However, he would not budge off list price - twice that of the LG.. I forgot to mention that we also ordered washer dryer at list at almost $1000. that was installed just fine.. But this guy dosen't even take that into consideration- I'd have been happy if he knocked off 5% in good faith -- but zippo. Amazing. read more

The good news is, is that we are happy our appliances! The bad news is, is that we had numerous customer service issues. First, were shocked to find that there were additional costs for the door fronts and handles of the refrigerator and freezer, but were not told about these costs until the appliances were being put into the new house and we had no door fronts or handles. After waiting for them to arrive and given incorrect shipping information, which delayed the delivery, they finally delivered the door fronts and handles, but were the incorrect size. We purchased an Electrolux Washer and Dryer on July 16,2016 for $2,377.00. The washer model EFLS617S TT/IW is my issue!! Most of the time I have to do an extra step to wash clothes. I have to empty the water out of the laundry soap dispenser prior to putting soap in. This sounds like it should be no big deal, but really?? Another step to doing laundry?? I called about this irritation and spending this much money would like it to be solved, I was told on page 8 of the manual it says to just dump the water?? REALLY?? read more

For us selecting and buying our appliances was easy because Johnson Bros' sales expert Tammy made it so. But having issues with either the mechanics or installation can be nerve recking not knowing where to turn. Yet, without hesitation Tammy advocated on our behalf with the manufacturer and set up a service provider, including a loaner fridge until the manufacturer agreed to a replacement. Without Tammy's hand-holding we would have been lost. Later in the year I realized there were cosmetic damage to the washer and dryer but I couldn't tell if it was because of a delivery or install mishap or from the upper cabinet's installation. Daniel in Johnson's repair depart didn't hesitate to help us secure a joint sharing of cost to replace the the washer and dryer hoods. He also kept us constantly updated over a 10 month backorder parts delay. What great customer service! Joe, their master installer and repair expert, has become a familiar and friendly face at our house. He answers all our goofy questions and provides tips on maintaining our appliances. What a compliment and excellent representation of great customer service by Tammy, Daniel and Joe. Thank you all for your continual hand-holding and dedicated follow through. We tell all our neighbors and friends "Don't rely on the manufacture's warranty. Invest in Johnson Bros company warranty. Ordered and paid for a washer and dryer on 10/15 and on 11/13 they were still making excuses why they could not deliver on a third delivery attempt!!! Never their fault, first it was the delivery and then it was Whirlpool!!! I didn't feel I was listened to. The atmosphere from the three salespeople I spoke to was like a "slick used car salesperson"! Never, ever will I shop there and I will make sure my friends don't either! We bought a Speed Queen wash/dry package and part of the agreement was a rebate. The w/d was not immediately installed as we were doing a remodel and wanted to have it on site when the work was finished. Where is my rebate? . We waited patiently for a couple months while hearing "your check is in the mail". Actually, we heard about every excuse imaginable as to why we had not received the rebate, they even blamed us for not having the proper paperwork..... So, we asked the sales guy, Jim, to intercede....Jim could not have had less interest in our issue, after all, they already had our money. After SIX months and NO rebate we forced Johnson Bros to pickup the w/d and refund our purchase and there never was a rebate issued. They lost the w/d sale in addition to a complete kitchen package that will likely be in the $15k range. Never again will I consider that company. Delivery went smoothly and we were very pleased with the installation crew.
