I called again the same day and the next available appointment was a month out--after another almost hour hold. Scheduled again, and no surprise, they no-showed again! What's the point of making an appointment if you just keep ghosting us?! National grid! Called again today, right now! I've been on call with the customer service for 2 hours and 20 minutes, as I'm writing this review, the rep still hasn't been able to get me the next appointment. National Grid makes all the money while we, regular people, get screwed over and over. If anyone knows how to file a complaint against this garbage company with the government, please let me know. I also had contact with 3 others in the company that day. Broco is a local veteran owned company. They answer their phones and are ready to help. In October when I tried using the heat, it would not come on. I tried finding a reset button but couldn't, that's when I noticed the "new" pump was covered in dust. I called them and they sent a tech, who showed me how to reset, it was the actual the flashing light you had to press and hold for 10 seconds to reset, my old pump had a clear button on the side. they charged me 350 more for the visit. The pump never worked properly. The entire winter it kept shutting off every few days, eventually getting worse until it was shutting off every day. I called them again, they claimed it was the controller that was malfunctioning but they never changed that, which was a lie, it was attached to the pump and totally different from my old one, which had the button on the side, I had to pay them 350 for a tech to show me how to reset this new controller. He claimed it was irrelevant since it should still be under warranty. 3 months later I got a bill for 850 for changing the controller. I called and explained and they said they would get back to me. They never did. Instead they paid my service bill with money I paid for oil delivery, then sent me a bill for the same amount for oil delivery. all oil deliveries were paid in full the day after delivery. It's a lie and scam to get me to pay for a junk pump. When I try and call they hang up on me.

Pro: relatively quick response Con: Incompetent/lazy…read more I was recommended them by my neighbor so thought I would ask them to come diagnose an issue with my air conditioner. Someone came over and looked at the unit and said that the problem was most likely a clogged drainage tube. But, since the air handler was in a crawl space, the technician declared that he could do nothing about it since he couldn't get to it. He even suggested that we should knock down a wall if we want to service it. He made absolutely no attempt to find a solution and declared a lack of options and gave up. With that said, we decided to get a second opinion and had another company come in for the same issue. That person not only decided to go into the crawl space but he did the same service and cleared the clogged pipe from inside the crawl space. So, basically, their technician was not only lazy but also suggested we waste thousands of dollars knocking down a wall to fix an issue that eventually cost us $150 with the new guy. This is a terrible look for Prendergast Oil. I was charged $120 by them for nothing at all because their technician was too lazy to do actual work. I hope this helps you improve their service. I don't want to just resort to a bad review somewhere because I would like you, as a local business, to improve your services.
