First Energy Heating aka Firemans Fuel aka Nardone Oil Terrible Service, rude office staff and a horrible foul mouthed owner!!! 781-662-2600 782-224-4173 On Friday Jan 30 2015 boiler starts smoking. MELROSE fire department came and tagged boiler as unusable. Called firemans fuel for emergency service. Repair guy showed at 8pm and stayed until 930pm. Guy was very upset and used angry and bad language in front of me the customer about having to do this, and they don't care about how many hours he works and people from office did not tell him the boiler smoked and was tagged otherwise he would have never dropped of his helper. After all that he got the boiler running again without smoking but still needed further repair/tuneup. We were scheduled for the final tuneup for Saturday Jan 31 2015. They called me to cancel and reschedule for Monday Feb 2 2015, because we were no longer an emergency appointment and they needed to order parts which is fine and I understand. However leaving me hanging like this for more days not knowing what will happen with this boiler was not helping considering I have a wife and two little kids in the house. Monday Feb 2 2015 we had a mini snow storm and was waiting for them all morning no call from them. Finally at 11am I called them to find out if our appointment was still on. They said no due to snow storm and they take only emergency appointments. Again fine I understand. I am worried but I understand. At the same time while on the phone I also decided to order oil delivery for next day. Tuesday Feb 3 2015. Even though I spent hours shoveling a path through 4 ft of packed snow to the back patio oil inlet for the oil delivery guy (if u don't they said to me they will not deliver oil for us) the delivery guy shows up and starts giving me a hard time that he can not deliver my oil cause he can't get through. I finally showed him and convinced him it's all good and even had to help him out carry the oil hose through to the back patio. What a bunch of little girls these oil delivery guys. I have seen other oil delivery companies in our neighborhood deliver oil to other houses that never bothered to shovel a path to the oil inlet. All right through the 4ft of packed snow. Tuesday Feb 3 2015 same service guy shows up to finish up oil boiler tuneup/cleanup with his personal help this time. This time around he was polite and to my knowledge completes the job. Wednesday Feb 4 2015 I called First Energy Heating to find out more info about boiler as well as ask a question about the "electric eye" on boiler. Does our boiler have one and if so was it serviced or replaced? I have no experience or knowledge about oil boilers so I was simply asking for answers and reassurance as I am scared for the safety of my children. The secretary on the phone started to get upset because I was asking to much information and I am just the tenant not the owner and they don't answer questions or provide information to tenants only to owners/landlords. She was very rude. I did not raise my voice or anything I just said ok thanks and hung up. Immediately I called my landlord and asked him to please call First Energy Heating to find out about the electric eye as well as other information and they were rude to him as well. My landlord then proceeded to tell owner that his tenants (me and my family) were not to happy with the service and will leave them a negative review. The same day at 11:45am the owner of First Energy Heating called me directly and started yelling and swearing at me real bad. On numerous occasions I tried to tell him to calm down, stop yelling and swearing at me so I can explain why I was not happy and he would not allow me to get a single word in. The phone conversation ended by him calling me and my landlord and I quote "you are couple of fuking idiots that are completely clueless and unappreciative". He then proceeded to tell me and I quote "go fuck yourself" and hung up the phone. Saturday Feb 21 a part of the new exhaust the "amazing workers they have" fell off and filled basement with smoke again. The reason it fell off is because firstly the part wasn't fitted correctly on the exhaust and secondly they never secured the part with zip screws. The three zip screws they were supposed to install I found in the basement. I had to once again clear out the smoke by opening the basement doors, garage and living room windows while my family was freezing as temps outside were 10F. Then I turned off emergency switch so I can remove part make it fit correctly on the exhaust and then I used the three zip screws I found laying around to secure the part. What a TOP-NOTCH A-HOLE!!!! DO *NOT* BUY OIL FROM THIS RUDE JERK!!! Up front I must say that I'm not a customer, but my neighbor across the street from me was, at least until about 5 days ago. I live on a quiet, dead-end street in a suburb. I was listening to my radio while folding laundry when a truck came up the street with a LOUD radio on, and it parked across from my house to make a delivery. When the man got out of the oil delivery truck (without turning down his radio), I went outside and said politely, "Hi! Could you please turn down your radio?! I'm trying to listen to my radio and I can't hear my radio because of your radio. Thanks." The man looked at me but didn't react so I was pretty sure he heard me because I spoke loudly, but politely. I went back into my house. Then after about 4 minutes (with his radio still BLARING), I looked out and there he is! -- leaning against my neighbor's house with the hose connected to it AND with his radio still BLARING!!! I walked back out and said (again politely), "Hey, could you turn your radio down, please?" The guy looks at me and says, "Hey, you're in your house with the windows and doors closed." I said, "And yeah with YOUR radio being so loud, I can't hear MY radio." The guy says, "Look I've got more things to worry about than a radio" to which I said, "How would you like it if I went into YOUR quiet neighborhood and started playing my radio loudly?!" He said "Look it's after 9 AM." Realizing this a-hole wasn't going to do the right thing, I told him, "Wow..you are a real class act. You come into a neighborhood with your radio on LOUDLY and then you act like I'M causing the problem?! You're a real classy guy. Thanks a lot." I walked away and he yelled something at me -- honestly I have NO idea what he yelled because HIS RADIO WAS TOO LOUD for me to hear. It's my first time ordering oil from them, but in gods name I will never ever order anymore from them. They hire the most ignorant and pathetic drivers, this dude they had working today 12/29/2016 is the most ignorant person I've ever met in my life. He rang the ball over 100 times in less than 2 minutes I swear and beside that he rang all the apartments bells just to see who responds first and than he's kicking my door. I got out and told him to relax cause it's 8:00 am and some ppl work late including me cause I'm a restaurant manager so I get home late. He said to me "I don't give a f**k what u do this is my time, do you want your f**king oil or what" . Who says those kind of things I mean this company should be ashamed of hiring idiots like him, he was Hispanic cause of his accent, the company calls backs and says "o we wanted to hear your part of the story" and that's it and hangs up like what do you think I wanna make stuff up at 8 in the morning. I've been using Nardone Oil for about 7 years now and have been very satisfied. I put my order online and usually the next day I get the delivery. Their internet order process is so efficient, there's really is no need to talk to anyone. But even after all this time, they did something that I thought was outstanding for an oil company. I spent the holidays in England this year and left with 3/8 of a tank, thinking that would be fine. While away, I heard news about a stretch of cold weather in the Northeast and how pipes were bursting in many houses. Well, my paranoia set in and I sent a desperate e-mail, through their website from England, explaining my situation and requesting a delivery ASAP. They e-mailed me back and told me they would send a driver out the next day. What was amazing was this was on December 31st! Yes, Nardone Oil sent out a driver on NEW YEARS DAY!!! They could of waited, considering it was a holiday but they didn't. That is outstanding service and coming back to a dry house was very great. They potentially saved me thousands of dollars. Dear Nardone Oil, I saw your giant "Anyone "BUTT" Hillary" and Trump/Pence signs on your front lawn and just want to let you know that I am boycotting any business that supported Trump, as it is a good indicator to me that you are definitely not someone to do business with. You clearly have no trouble with someone who has a long history of fraudulent business practices, and when I read through your reviews, I see that your company has also done some fraudulent things: charging people more than necessary, claiming that it will be refunded, and then conveniently not refunding them.
