I am a huge fan of Costco but this is confusing me…read more... Explain to me how the pharmacy closes for 90 minutes in the middle of the day on a Saturday for lunch with multiple people working. Can't you stagger lunch breaks? But in general pharmacy staff is great, this is just not convenient.

I recently visited Costco on 59 to activate my new membership. The older gentleman who helped me…read morewas very thorough in explaining the membership benefits and took the time to answer all of my questions. The process went smoothly, and I appreciated the excellent customer service during the membership setup. At the time, Costco was running a promotion where opening auto-renewal would qualify me for a $50 Shop Card. I received the card by email about a week later and decided to use it during my first grocery purchase. Unfortunately, my checkout experience was disappointing. I wasn't aware that the Shop Card needed to be scanned before applying it to the transaction. When I tried to use it, the cashier seemed frustrated and commented that he would need to void the transaction and wait for a manager. Another associate grabbed my cart and started putting items onto the conveyor belt quickly, and I wasn't sure which items I should leave in the cart. While I had a great experience setting up my membership, my first grocery shopping experience at Costco was not what I expected. I hope the checkout process can be handled with more patience and better communication, especially for new members who may not be familiar with how everything works.

*Review is for Tire Center*…read more I recently opened a Costco membership after researching tire prices and warranties, and Costco ended up offering the best overall value. I purchased the Bridgestone Turanza EverDrive tires, and ordering them through the website was quick and easy. Scheduling the installation online was also straightforward. I did receive a text saying an earlier appointment was available, but the website wasn't updating to show those openings. I called the tire center, and the staff was able to get me in within the next few days, which I appreciated. My appointment was on a Friday at 1:45 p.m. After reading a lot of online reviews about long wait times, I was expecting to be there for hours. I dropped my car off at 1:40 p.m., walked next door for lunch, and received a text at 2:15 p.m. saying my car was ready. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the service was. The tire center staff were friendly and professional throughout the process. The only issue came the following day when my tire pressure warning light came on. I called Costco, and they explained what to do. I stopped by on a busy Saturday to check the tire pressure and add air. No one was available to assist since they were very busy, and I noticed the right rear tire was significantly low, so I filled it myself. It's now been about a week without any further issues, so I'm hoping it was just a one-time occurrence. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, the pricing, and the installation experience. Aside from the minor tire pressure issue after installation, everything went smoothly, and I would use Costco Tire Center again.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Costco self-checkout with an employee named Jaime…read more He approached me and offered to help scan the rest of my items. I told him, "I'm okay, I've got it." As I continued checking out, I started struggling a bit. Instead of stepping in to help, Jaime stood there watching me. He laughed, threw his hands up, and said, "You got this," in a way that felt like he was making fun of me. I understand that I initially declined assistance, but customer service doesn't end there. If an employee sees a customer clearly having difficulty, I would expect kindness and professionalism, not laughter while they struggle. I was already having a bad day, and this interaction was upsetting enough that I left the store in tears. Whether that was Jaime's intention or not, the experience made me feel embarrassed and belittled. I hope Costco reminds its employees that a little empathy and respect can make a big difference in a customer's experience.
