I showed him my current car (which I was selling) and explained exactly how I wanted the leather seats in my new car to look. He personally inspected my vehicle, including the backseat, so there was no confusion about what I wanted. When I got my car back, the back seats were not done the way I had clearly specified. I brought the car back and explained the issue, but instead of addressing it, he argued that the work matched what I had requested. I reiterated that this was not correct--we had provided photos and he had even seen the original seats in person. On top of this the dealership, de Paula did not do anything either. My voltage was dropping dangerously low, my stereo system began cutting out, my amp failed, and even unrelated components like my fog lights started acting inconsistently. When I brought the vehicle back, instead of taking accountability, I was told my amp was bad and ended up purchasing a replacement through them. I was also advised that my alternator might be the issue--despite my Tahoe only having around 66k miles--so I spent additional money replacing that as well. None of this resolved the core problem. To make matters worse, when I scanned my vehicle myself, I found multiple BCM (Body Control Module) faults that appeared after they worked on it--something I never had prior. I've made multiple attempts to resolve this directly with them, including reaching out again today after being told the owner would speak with me. Instead, I was told he was unavailable and "getting on a plane," which felt like just another excuse and more runaround. At this point, I'm left with a vehicle that has ongoing electrical issues, money spent on parts I likely didn't need, and no accountability from the shop that caused the problem in the first place. I strongly recommend anyone considering this shop proceed with caution. What started as a simple install turned into a costly and stressful situation with no resolution.

Two other customers arrived after me and had their cars back before mine was complete. Both had problems with the installation and were back within minutes for the issues to be corrected. The guys seem more concerned with joking around in the shop then actually completing the remote starter installation. Other places might be more expensive, but this kind of mistreatment is not worth the bit it saves. It's been over 4 hours and I'm still waiting for my car. No idea if it will work the first time.

Zero Stars. Filed a claim in January 2018 with my insurer,…read morewho referred me to Ed's glass. The address they were using was closed to my work. When I scheduled the appointment, he said they closed the Latham shop years ago but hadn't updated the address. He asked me to bring my car to Rotterdam because of the cold. I am no where near Rotterdam, so it took him 3 weeks to replace the windshield. I had to call him back because the side windsheild trim was falling off. He fixed it and said to leave the trim tape on a few days. I did, and it peeled the paint off my car. In Sept 2018, I was hit by a rock and had to have the windsheild replaced again. I called Safelight, who discovered that Ed's Glass GLUED the side trim down. You aren't supposed to glue the trim, as it clips on. This resulted in having to replace not only the side trim, but the whole windsheild frame that is riveted to the frame of the car. When I called Ed's Glass to ask about fixing the issue, she rudely stated that I needed to call my insurance. Go with Safelight. They are reputable, have excellent customer service and can fix big issues when guys like this screw up your car!
