I am not too picky about my nails and usually just want a clean gel manicure that lasts. I asked for a little design this time around before a trip (I had asked for a sun design and my girlfriend's first initial). I also asked for gel and don't think I received gel (it feels thinner than usual and has already peeled). Everyone I've showed my nails to told me it's not good and the black polish is still on my skin surrounding the nails :( . I'm afraid I won't be returning to this place because my nails have already begun to chip alongside the poor design and it has not even been a day since I received my manicure. read more

My nails look terrible. Had to stop at another salon on the way home to fix. I said before we started I don't want them narrow. Multiple nails were crooked and she had to take them off to put them on straight. She filed some thinner than others. Real nail showing on multiple. Overpriced and I'm pissed. Don't go here! Got the fresh aloe pedicure. $55. The nail technician separated the aloe vera plant in front of me. So soothing on my skin especially because of the dry desert heat. Excellent prices. Clean salon. All tools were opened in front of me. Massage chairs are comfortable. Staff are very friendly. A nice place away from the Strip. read more

Is Zero a star rating? I just left there and can honestly say that I will NEVER step foot in Jolene Sky Nails again. I've been there many times before, years ago. Never had issues. Been there twice in the last 1.5 months and nothing but issues and laziness! Last time I went, my acrylic nails chipped and broke about 1-1.5 weeks after getting them done. I couldn't go back to get them redone because I was out of state so just had the "It is what it is" attitude about it. Then, I go in today to get my "Disney" nails done that we had discussed at that prior appointment. Instead, what I got was her saying she can't do it because she doesn't know how to do the Mickey Mouse head (LITERALLY 3 circles connected) or a Minnie Mouse bow. It was a VERY BASIC design. But her attitude and the way she acted you would have thought that I asked her to recreate a Rembrandt. Then, with an attitude, she asked me why I couldn't just use the crappy Disney stickers she had. My reply "Because I'm not 4 years old and that's not what we discussed previously". Instead of getting what I wanted I walked out with plain red nails and acrylics in which the shape and sizes do not match one another and are bumpy. Also, I wanted the color I had them use with my pedicure to be the same color as my nails. I had the pedicure lady confirm that they had it in both regular polish and gel prior to ANYTHING being painted. When Jolene started painting my nails I questioned the color because it looked different than my toes. She said "No, this is the exact same color as your toes". Um, no it's not. (See photo) I was so frustrated, irritated, and mad that I just paid and left. BE WARNED that this is not somewhere you want to go if you expect quality/consistent work. All you'll get is laziness, excuses, and attitude from the owner, Jolene. I'm not sure what's happened over the years and why the quality of service has changed, but I will never go back again. read more

So, I got my nails done for the first time at Jolene and sky about 3 days ago and I've been dreading to not write this bad review. However, I'm just really disappointed in my nails. I got a gel pedicure and an acrylic fill with gel polish. I opted for a more expensive pedicure and added gel polish (60) and my fill with 1 broken nail and gel polish (38). In the package that I picked it came with paraffin wax and hot stone (I never got the hot stone). But my pedicure is nice so I didn't say anything. My toes look great my pedicure came out perfect however my hands are hideous. The acrylic is overly thick, and the fill is missing chunks in some places. The gel color is incredibly sloppy and also missing in some places. For a $15 upcharge you would think they would have the polish decent. The shape is the worst part. When I got there I already had a full set of narrow, natural looking square shaped nails. When she was almost done I noticed how bulky the nails were and I asked politely "can you make them a little skinnier some of them are crooked" she smiled and said of course. And she proceeded to file them a little but it didn't fix the problem. My nails are by far the worst set I've ever gotten. I was told to go here by my friend she comes all the time and hasn't had any problems but for me this was a long drive to be this disappointed. read more

Went in today to get a manicure and pedicure. Didn't get the service i asked for the owner did my manicure she didn't put my nails in water cut my cuticles. I sat down she went to straight to filing my nails and straight to dipping my nails since i got the nail dip. Never got a hand massage or anything she rushed right thru it. Worst manicure ever didn't tip her. My pedicure the girl tried and i felt bad for her but i think i can do better than her at home. I had black nail polish on my nails on my hand and you can still see it on the sides horrible. I've been here before and the last girl did better than the owner only reason i come here it's because my lash her is in the same shopping center. read more

Came in here for the first time and took a chance because i was in the area.. asked for French tip, i told the lady not too short and file, she cut to them to nail bed; i felt bad because i felt she didn't understand me, but still it was not what i wanted especially if i still have to pay full price. i like for my nails to be square, some length with nice shape. The French tip was very sloppy, white was not a sleek line, and lop sided from how short she cut them, she painted my WHOLE pinky toe nail sloppy and white, with no French tip.. i had to say something even tho i felt so bad.. someone else took over, it was better, still lop sided and she said it was because of my natural nail bed- which wasn't my fault because the lady cut them short even tho i asked not to. Even tho it was better, she rushed, and still no where near good enough for me to come back. 2 stars for someone else trying to fix and her asking me if i liked them.. i just didn't have the energy to have someone try to fix it again, just for it to still not be good and me have wasted my time. truly feel like i wasted my money here. Can't believe i was charged full price. Im embarrassed of pic but this is the "FIXED" product, better than first which was horrendous and i didn't get pic of because it was in salon , but just ridiculous. read more

honestly this place deserves 0 stars, first of all when my friend and I went in the lady my friend requested didn't even do her nails. I came in expecting to spend about $50 for a full set of stiletto nails, i ended up spending more than I thought because it's FIVE EXTRA DOLLARS just to get a glitter gel nail polish put on. It's also an EXTRA FIVE DOLLARS to get your nails long because "it takes extra time to do it". The place was COVERED in nail dust, there was nail dust every where on the desks and the floor. None of them used fresh nail files which is UNSANITARY. They never once pushed my cuticles back so now it already looks like I need a fill. Not to mention the lady cut me with the nail file because she was so rough when filing. Finally, the customer service was horrible. The lady that did my nails kept complaining about the shape I wanted and didn't like that i asked for black. Then the lady that did my friends nails would not listen to her. She asked for a coffin shape and THEY CAME OUT SQUARE. We went back later in the day to see if they could fix the shape and Jolene literally said that my friend was "wasting their time and money" and was trash talking my friend behind her back to me. The people here are incredibly rude and VERY unsanitary, I won't be coming back. (this isn't the best picture but look at how much nail dust there is everywhere, it's disgusting) UPDATE: my friend and her mom are currently getting loads of messages from Jolene begging for them to get me to take this review down. pretty sure that's against yelp policy :)) read more

While they kindly offered to repolish it with a different color, the polish had chipped on both my toenails and hands, two different colors, so I didn't want to waste my time. Unsatisfied with my nails. I got in pretty quick at noon and Jolene did my nails. They are very bumpy everywhere and this isn't a very square shape. My neon yellow turned orange all over the nail that it is hard to picture. I felt uncomfortable during the appointment and she also did someone's eyebrows during my nail appointment. It's very unfortunate, but I won't be returning here. I've been here only a handful of times and really enjoyed the environment and the ladies who work here but I was there almost two weeks ago and got a very serious infection. Less than a week after I had gone I started noticing my finger getting red and swelling up quickly and dramatically. It was completely inflamed and getting very large. I started to disinfect and as skin started to peel away a lot of pus and blood started to flow from the cuticle and under the nail bed. My nail was in the process of falling off and it all happened very quickly. This is the result of having dirty equipment and not using barbicide. This could have been really bad as I'm sure you know people can get seriously ill from these infections. Truly disappointed. If you choose to go after reading this please proceed with caution. read more

Update: Jolene wrote me offering to redo my pedi and the eyebrow service for free. Very nice and thoughtful. I lost 3 acrylic nails in 10 days. This has never happened to be, nor was I doing anything intense with my nails :-/ Very thoughtful owner, but maybe the products just aren't agreeing with me. read more
