I've been here a couple times last year with good/as expected pedicure experiences. Being 6mos pregnant, I can't reach my toes comfortably anymore and was in need of a pedi. My visit last week with Piper was great and just what I needed! I got the farmhouse pedi ($75) with regular polish. She was the sweetest and one of the most gentlest techs I've worked with. I mentioned how I've been getting calf cramps/charley horses this trimester and she took her time massaging my calves by hand and with a mini hypervolt. I went with a nude polish (easy to grow out and remove when I want) and my toes looked clean and refreshed. Will come back and excited to meet and try out the other techs next time. read more

As someone who works in the industry, I'm very disappointed with our services. My husband and I booked our pedicures for 10a. My service was booked for an Essential Pedicure with Gel ($75), my husband was booked for an Essential Pedicure w/ no polish($55). Although the girls were nice, the service for my husband lasted only 22 minutes. His technician did acknowledge upon checking out that she misunderstood and was under the assumption he had booked for a Classic Pedicure($40). Regardless, for a pedicure that is $40 or $55 I would expect a longer service and I have never been to a nail salon that charges so much for so little. Minimal massaging, light rubbing in for the sugar scrub and the foot mask. I got more of a massage (still very little at that) for my pedicure and a slightly longer service time. My service lasted for 45 minutes. We still tipped 20% despite how unsatisfactory the services were. I suggest the technicians take this as an opportunity to evaluate their performance to avoid this in the future. read more

I went here because of the tech's artistry on Instagram. I let them know that I had have nails on before. I booked an appointment for a gel full set at 11AM. When she was done with my nails without any paint, she decided to tell me that she had to leave and then she would not be finishing my nails because I did not add a "design" onto my appointment or soak off. She knowingly handed me off to someone else who did not know how to do the flower that I had in my pic from 1st girl's page. I command the 2nd nail tech for being a little too patient. She seemed unfamiliar with the colors and the tools throughout the salon. I gave her a chance because I really wanted my nails to be done. She then tried to teach herself how to do the design with zero urgency on her own nails. Everyone acted like I had nowhere to be. They ended up looking really pretty after being there for 4 1/2 hours. It cost me over $150. (not including tipping 2 techs!). We had settled for not doing the flower because it didn't look good, which I was OK with at the end, but I didn't like the way the ombre looked either, it was spongy. The entire time the girl who I booked the appointment with is taking care of other clients after leaving me in the middle of my appointment. Definitely don't recommend this place and I won't be coming back. Also my nail broke with a 1 week. There is 1 nail tech there that is extremely talented in her artistry named Emily only book her! read more

This place is my go to place for everything nails. I like Regina to do my nails. I always enjoy speaking with her and she does excellent work. I am a fan of the gel polish. They have hundreds of colors to choose from. You have to let her know if you're going to get nail art at the booking because she needs a little extra time to complete it. I usually just go for solids or sparkles. The polish lasts for about two weeks on your hands, and forever on your toes if your nails don't grow! The prices are reasonable and when I needed a repair she was quick to squeeze me in and get me out. So if you are looking for a new place, try here & ask for Regina. It's nearby a lot of other businesses, like a boba tea shop, yoga/Pilates studio, a few restaurants, an eyebrow threading place next door, and Vons across the street, so it's a convenient location for running errands. I've been here a couple times for pedicures and recently got a gel manicure. I didn't know that the nail technician I got was an apprentice when I called in for an appointment (the online booking system states if they are an apprentice), and I was unhappy with how it turned out. I've been a customer since day one. This salon is an elite experience - immaculately clean, beautifully decorated (and constantly being upgraded - the new massaging pedicure chairs are like, OMG.) All the techs are skilled and professional; so the consistency of service never wavers, regardless of technician. One thing I appreciate the most is the impressive selection of polish colors and brands (hello, vegan options!!!), as well as the fact that I have never had an issue finding colors that have perfectly matching gel polish and regular polish (I like to do a gel mani and regular polish pedicure). You'd be amazed at how many salons do not stock the proper matches. Additionally, Nail Appeal gets new colors in all the time and the equipment is always clean and new (they open a sterile package of tools every time). Everyone is friendly (*truly* friendly, no forced saccharine small-talk). Overall though, the selling point for me is the attention to detail. The work is flawless every time. I've been to my share of salons in the past and have had the full spectrum of experiences - good to bad - and after years of going to Nail Appeal, I can easily say that every visit has been fantastic. I started going to this salon last year. Scheduling an appointment was a bit annoying due to having to use a website to schedule. Regina would do my full sets but the shape was always a little off from what I wanted but she moved quickly. She always seemed a bit mad or annoyed and the energy in the salon is a bit weird a tense....kinda hard to relax in that environment. A couple months ago I couldn't book with Regina and went to a new tech there Karina and let just say WOW!!! She was not only so sweet but I've never had such beautiful perfectly shaped nails before!! I even tipped her $20 because wow. The one star is because of the negative vibe and when I finally found someone I loved and she is no longer there and nobody told me it would be with a different tech. I wanted Karina!!
