    Main plate, only $20!

Soooo delicious. Such great taste and portions. I would 100% buy again. It really does feel like a cozy homemade plate. Reheats great too! To order you have to buy in advance on their website, and you'll get a call back asking when you want to pick up the food. You'll pick up from an apartment complex, parking is a little tricky but its a quick pick up. Would recommend to anyone, support local businesses!

Jollof rice, chicken, stewed spinach & plantains.

I was here for an art show last night, but honestly? The food ended up being the masterpiece. We essentially tried to defeat the menu and the menu won. 10/10, no notes. The Highlights: Hawaiian Sliders: Absolutely bomb. The perfect balance of sweet and savory. I'm still thinking about them 24 hours later. Crispy Quesatacos with Chicken Tinga: Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor. It's hard to find chicken Tinga in a crispy Quesataco this authentic in a pop-up setting, but they nailed it flavor bomb Pupusas & Tacos: My friend and I went in on these and they did not disappoint. The pupusa was thick, cheesy, and had that perfect crisp on the outside. The Verdict: There wasn't a single miss on the menu. I even grabbed an extra haul to take home to my husband--usually, "to-go" food loses its soul on the car ride home, but he was obsessed. I'm already checking their schedule to see where they'll be next. If you want to eat the best food in San Francisco right now, this is it.

The wait was significant, but they were super upfront about that, which I appreciated. The chicken tinga was the standout - super tasty! I had been hearing about Red Eye locally and thought I would give them a try. I ordered in advance - I had heard they sell out fast if you don't put in an advance order. Pick up took longer than seemed reasonable for an advance to go order, but zero complaints about the quality of the food! I got two racks of pork ribs and they were spectacular. The other stuff e saw them putting out looked really good too. I normally smoke my own meats, but it is great to have someone local that does such a good job. Now I have a place I can go to when I don't have time to do it myself. Everyone who tried them loved them- including a friend who was a chef in New Orleans. I think Red Eye are the best thing going around here for real BBQ (by a good measure). If you haven't tried them yet, get over there! You are in for a real treat!

For me, the sides, potato salad, corn bread, and coleslaw, were the true stars of my meal. I was surprised again and again by the delicious mix of flavors in each. Seat yourself after ordering. Appeared to be indoor seating only available. Hot Tip #1: Red Eye is a two-man operation. The line accumulates quickly and moves slowly, so if you are undecided, maybe hem and haw while in line. Hot Tip #2: It's ok to bring your own water bottle inside the restaurant, so kudos to those that always have their water bottle in one hand!

I tried their mango sticky rice matcha latte on my first visit and was HOOKED. Every flavor component shined through without overshadowing others. In other iterations of this drink from locations around the Bay Area, I've found that the mango flavor gets easily lost, which was impressively not the case here! I also love the guava matcha einspanner; having both guava puree and foam really made the flavor pop. Had a few sips of the ube and pandan matchas as well, both of which were super flavorful. The matcha itself is smooth and strong. They hand-whisk their ceremonial grade matcha and their toppings/foams are made in-house, all of which contribute to the high quality of their drinks. Plus, no up-charge for oat milk, which always gets brownie points from me. Ordering through the kiosk was a breeze and we didn't have to wait long for our order. I'd note that some menu items tend to sell out (they were sold out of the guava matcha einspanner by around 5pm the first time I visited) and I tried calling ahead to check availability with no answer, so I'd come earlier in the day just to be sure you can get the drink you want.

But my sister had enough faith in him that she put her name down in the waitlist a couple years ago. A few days before Valentine's day in 2026, my sister got the email asking her to confirm her order quantities and to pick up on Valentine's day. Apparently, my sister completely forgot her order. lol! This guy have more integrity than kickstarter projects and to keep his promise and to fulfill the orders!!! It's my first time having sweet water noodles. I have never visited Cheng Du in China (it's on my bucket list) so I cannot tell how authentic this really is. As a noodle dish, I really love it. I would buy the sauce itself and toss with any other noodles. (Business opportunity there!) The instruction to cook the noodles is super clear and it's a very simple and easy dish to make. If you can boil water in a pot, you can make the noodles based on the instruction with this noodles kit. The rice crispy gave an excellent crunch. (Now I can see why Paik Jong Won added the uncooked instant noodles crumbs from the package to a bowl of instant noodles). The noodles texture is lovely, it has a chewy (or the Taiwanese/Chinese known as "QQ") bite to it. The portion is quite generous too - it's one of those satisfying portions :) I don't think I want to wait for 2 years for this again. But when he opens the store or start selling the sauce, I will be there for sure!!
