Great yeast donuts that were so light and fluffy. I always pick up the jelly filled ones and that's the yardstick with which I'll grade a donut place. The banana creme, apple and raspberry filled were absolutely delicious. My friend had picked the other three and she enjoyed those as well! Wish we could've gone back for more but now I know that if I'm ever in the Granville area again, I'll make sure to visit!

Visited for the first time and I'm not sure I get the hype I see in other reviews. Got a cream-filled longjohn, a peanut butter-filled chocolate-iced yeast donut, and a chocolate old fashioned. They were fine. The pastry was good--light and fluffy for the yeast donuts, dense but tender for the old fashioned--but the fillings were skimpy. Maybe it was a rough day, but the customer service left something to be desired, too. Placing my order felt like I was inconveniencing the folks who work there. I don't expect anyone to act like I made their day by showing up at the shop, but I'd prefer not to be scowled at. Lastly, walking into the shop, you're greeted by a sign that says guns are welcome and that the store is protected by the second amendment. I think I'm gonna keep hunting for better donuts with a less aggressive feel.

I would give it less. Not only for not wearing masks like you are expected to do. I have talked to the health department and they don't agree with you. But then to tell a customer to STFU and then defend it by continuing to talk badly about your customers. I am a 30+ year customer and my mom has been going longer. But I will no longer ever come back. Also FYI she is in the health industry, so she puts her life on the line in nursing homes to make sure people are ok. So ensuring she is ok and her patients by wearing a mask and being around others who are doing the same is being smart, and responsible. Thank you for showing your true unprofessional side.

The best kind of donut shops are the ones with cheap donuts and great customer service. Jolly Pirate Donuts is your simple, hole-in-the-wall donut shop that offers the classic donuts (glazed, sprinkled, and filled). Since it's open 24/7, you can come here for breakfast or a late night snack. However, I would suggest coming here when it's still light out (it can get a little sketchy at night time). If you do find yourself in the small town of Newark, definitely stop by here! You'll meet friendly folks and enjoy some classic donuts.

I worked at this job for two years and it literally only went downhill from there, I was assaulted…read moreby another employee and when asked about it they didn't believe me and when they checked cameras instead of firing him they gave him a raise and made him manager. Clara Berkshire is the GM of this store and does a terrible job at so, she lets her daughter cuss constantly, make racist comments, and throw the food around because she has tantrums, her daughter had also harassed me for months and instead of either firing or even writing her up she just let her continue to do so. That place is also just dirty, nobody properly cleans the bathrooms and there are flies on donuts constantly. All the donuts are made around 3 in the morning and are left out pretty much all day unless we need to make more. Clara also lets all the MINORS smoke in the walk in (where we store our concentrates and some food). They make minors do overtime without pay and then yell at them for so like it's their fault. I recently have met someone who was fired from Dunkin because Clara didn't believe that she was pregnant ( she is in fact pregnant) she had to call off due to a medical emergency regarding her unborn child and instead of being at least concerned Clara yelled at her for missing work and told her she didn't believe she was pregnant. She later on then marked on the schedules that the employee "quit" when she was actually fired. Most the worked there who I had previously worked with are tired of the way they are treated. Also let me just add that my boyfriends little sister had put in her two weeks because she was pregnant and wanted a better work environment (they kept putting her on food even tho she kept having to throw up) and told her she was on the do not hire list because of this. if you even report them Regina (the distric manager) will see it and just talk about you to the GM and the GM will run her mouth to everybody which is illegal. I have reported that store TWICE and I was told I would be the first person they fire by another employee (Clara's family). They will tell you they don't have a HR and tell you there is no way to put in a complaint which is just a lie and ILLEGAL. If you even so QUIT there they will talk shit about you to all the employees and make fun of you and brag about how you ARENT allowed back. This place is awful and needs either new management or needs to be SHUT DOWN.

New location, same great service and taste!…read more I have tried donuts in many states and countries and I have yet to find one better than here. Well, if I'm honest there was this Amish stand at a farmers market in Central PA that had outstanding donuts, but they only sold them a few times a year and I have no idea how to find them! This trip, I got the big boy donut, a white icing cake donut, and a pretzel. The big boy donut is a huge glazed donut as big as your head. That's right, you can hold it up to your head and it will be just as large!!! This time, however, they put a twist on them and added icing to a few. I know, sweet on top of a sweet sugary donut seems like overkill, and it was. But come on, anyone willing to eat a donut as big as his head has no problem with something super duper sweet! The other items were equally good, and I liked their new larger location. They even added a few new items since I was last there like donut holes/bites. This place continues to reign as the donut king in my estimation, and the fact that they FINALLY accept credit cards now is a huge win.

I see why this bakery was so popular when they moved locations! It's huge and filled with donuts,…read morecookies, cakes - you name it. All at a decent price too. I like that you have to take a number before getting called to order. This makes it easier to walk around freely and decide what you want as opposed to standing in line and not having a view of what's available. I kept it simple and only ordered an apple fritter for myself. While it was a bit underdone in the center, I think it's because of the huge apple chunks. It was very soft and deliciously sweet though. I'd absolutely return to try out their bow tie donuts and danishes!
