    Bloody Mary
    Kimberly K.

Located inside the Evans terminal at DTW we had good service and good food and drinks. The Bloody Mary's were excellent. I opted for the hummus plate with pita chips. Hummus was fresh. I wish the pita bread was a little softer but it's more a personal preference. The chicken quesadilla was also a great choice. It was enough to share. Jolly Pumpkin is a solid choice for a quick bite to eat and drink at the airport before a flight.

I often stop into Jolly Pumpkin when I'm waiting for my flights. It's relatively easy to find a seat to have a beer, charge my devices, and get a little work done. The food is decent, but as is the case for much airport fare, not exactly worth the price. The service is hit or miss for me. Sometimes they're attentive and friendly, other times it's long waits between check ins. But it's convenient and a good spot to spend a few minutes before boarding.

This was a quick stop before my flight. An airport beer seemed in order and this was the place to go. I found a spot to sit at the bar and was welcomed. The service was great. I ordered my beer, an amber called Siren. It was delivered to me quickly. I enjoyed my beverage and was checked out quickly and on my way to my gate.

The service was outstanding. The prices were fair - especially for an airport location. Found a new Chardonnay to add to my list.

My fries were fried too hard for my taste and they were an added cost. The impossible patty was delicious. The server was nice. The music was loud, which made it difficult to work while waiting on my flight. It would've been nice if I was in vacay mode.

Good music Comfortable seating, and lots of it!! We had super fast service from our waitress, Tracey. She was on point and very pleasant.

Nice bar... I saw the "stay sour" and thought it said, "stay sober" ‍‍‍

It's a great option if you're killing time at the airport. The food is good... Full bar and a lot of great locally brewed beer on tap. Their pizzas are delicious... sadly I only know that from PREVIOUS experience. After ordering a Margarita pizza (yes I know it's spelled wrong) and paying to add pepperoni and onions to it (a 22$ tiny pizza) I got on the plane to discover a congealed lunch meat sandwich and fries.... Disgusting! And it made for a very long very hungry 7 hour flight to Germany. Lesson learned... even if you've been waiting 20 plus minutes for your food and even after the woman at the counter says "your PIZZA is almost ready" and even if you're about to be late to the gate LOOK at the food!

Tuna melt with truffle fries. Not my favorite experience.

I had high hopes for this place when I landed at DTW and walked by. So I made a mental note to stop in as I was leaving Detroit. As airport restaurants go, it's marginal. Inviting and centrally located with ample seating a good bar space. However, right off I saw red flags. I arrived at 6:00 and the place was pretty desolate. People were leaving with half of their meals unfinished. I stopped in because of the selection of taps. But when I sat down I was confused. There was a QR code at my table that told me to scan for a menu then order. I tried it that, and it told me I couldn't order because no server had opened my tab. A server came later and took my drink order, then the rest of my meal order traditionally. VERY confusing. I never ended up using the mobile ordering system. The staff was friendly but seemed equally confused. The food was incredibly underwhelming. Very salty and greasy. I saw many people pay then leave behind half of their meal. My bartender had little knowledge about the beers on tap so I couldn't get a differentiation between the four IPAs on tap. This all feels like poor execution on the part of management. Bad training program, poor menu selection, underwhelming food quality. I had a good beer but it was luck if the draw. Opportunity wasted. I do hope that management can invest the time in getting this place straightened out.

Very pricey tap house and bar with pub food in the terminal. Staff was friendly. Clean. Lots of charging outlets. QR code ordering. Pricey

This is a great little restaurant inside the Detroit airport and the food quality is a lot better than you would expect. The quesadilla was delicious and the vegetable soup was fresh and tasty. It's five star dining, but definitely well above average.

Sadly, we got a message that they changed us to inside due to possible rain. I understand, but it didn't end up raining and the outside area looked incredible. I added a photo. Oh well. That was the only real bummer. The service was amazing - pacing out all of the small plate dishes in a sensible fashion. We ordered 7 different things, and one extra arrived that we didn't order. Every item was fresh and flavorful. We definitely will come back - though not all the time as that is cost prohibitive. While it definitely is on the pricey side, we are very happy to have dined here tonight.

It's refreshing to see an establishment committed to quality on every level with such an extensive menu (plus the prices were very reasonable). My complements to the chef and his team for the knock out job--give that man a raise. My only gripes were that the water glasses themselves were a little petite, and I'm not a fan of suggested tip inflation (i.e., 25%, 30%...), but these were a drop in the bucket compared to the experience I had. Not only will I be back for seconds, but I'll be bringing my friends and family here in the future--I suggest you do the same. Overall: 9.7/10

They have a pretty nice size menu with a lot of great options. A cool thing about their menu is their sliders. You get to choose whether you want a small or a full size. The idea is to be able to pick different sliders to choose to eat. I decided on the park bowl which came with white rice topped with sesame seeds, avocado, seaweed, and carrots. I added a salmon fillet. It was so fresh and delicious - and VERY filling! I also ordered the calamari for an appetizer and that was pretty tasty as well. I did have a cocktail, it was OK, I really didn't taste any liquor and it was a little bit more sweet than I would have liked.

After being closed a year the new owners opened it back up as a craft slider "bar". There is nothing fancy about this restaurant. Its decor is basic wood tables and chairs in the center with booths lining one side of the space and a bar on the other. The staff are casual about you being there - there is no fanfare. When we arrived, we checked in at the host stand to get our names on the wait list. They text you when your table is ready. The place was full when we got there but the turnover was quick. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes and were seated in a booth. The menu is all sliders on one side and fries, salads, and sweets on the other. Fairly simple and the prices are beyond reasonable. The server told us most people get 3 sliders and fries. I did that plus I got a Moscow Mule to drink - it was only $5! I chose the Double Cheeseburger, Spicy Crispy Chicken (with a slice of provolone added), Olive Burger, and the Truffle Fries. Everything is served as soon as it's made so your items arrive at different times, which was fine by me. Each slider was served in its own cardboard "dish". Again, nothing fancy. The Olive Burger was really good - served with green olives and cheese on top of a beef burger. I liked the saltiness of the olives - it added to the total taste in a positive way. The Double Cheeseburger was actually pretty big so I would just get the single next time. And the Spicy Crispy Chicken was recommended by our server. He suggested adding the provolone slice, which I did. That was basically a buffalo chicken sandwich. And it was good! The truffle fries were excellent - you could really taste the truffle seasoning/oil. I also liked that they were the skinny type of fries. This is the type of independent restaurant I'm always looking for - one that sticks to its theme and does an excellent job of it. I'll definitely be back!

They didn't, but they had another similar Belgian ale that was great, so no complaints there! Our table started with the hand-battered chicken tenders and fried pickles. I really liked the light batter on both, and you could actually taste the beer in the batter, which was awesome. Three of the four of us ordered the Reuben, and the other ordered the Big Ed Burger. First off, all four of us commented on how good the sides were. The fries came out piping hot and crispy, and the house-made chips were honestly some of the best I've ever had. The burger itself had good flavor, but the bun was pretty dry and unappealing. With a better bun, I think it could go from good to great. As for the Reuben--the house specialty--I enjoyed it overall, but there were a couple things holding it back for me. The corned beef itself was 10/10. Super tender, flavorful, and absolutely the star of the sandwich. The bread, however, was very dry and crisp, but it had almost no color or toasted flavor to it. My other issue was the sauerkraut. This is definitely personal preference, but I like kraut with more tang and a little chew--almost "al dente," if we were talking pasta. This was extremely soft and mushy, to the point that there really wasn't any texture left to it. With that corned beef, a tangier kraut with a little bite and better bread would make this a fantastic Reuben. That said, I don't want those critiques to overshadow the experience. We enjoyed our food, and the service was great. Nichole (according to our receipt) was super friendly and took great care of us. I also really love the history and character of Jacoby's.
