I've been up and down the East Coast and yes, Jonah's is the best pizza I've ever had. (Use your imagination when ordering, there are a lot of options.) Or try the phazones, or the pizza rolls. But, that said, Jonah's baking really sets this place apart. The cinnamon rolls are unique and outstanding -- not too sticky, great texture, unbeatable. Friend who have tried them plead with me to bring some back when I tell them I'm going to Georgia. The peanut butter bars are addictive. The bread is superb. My favorite baker and my favorite pizza place happens to be located in Forsyth, Georgia. It's worth a trip, definitely stop in if you're passing by. read more

Just placed a take out order at Jonah's on Johnston in Forsyth, GA. Ordered a large Ortenburger pizza and some Fire Sticks. Was told order would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. I walked into the restaurant 17 minutes after placing the order. Pizza was ready in the box under the heater. Paid for the order ($34) and asked about Fire Sticks. Well they forgot them. The cashier told the cook and he hit his head like one of the 3 Stooges. The cashier just left pizza next to register. I had to ask her to put it under the heater. Well she must have missed that. Got the fire sticks after sitting and waiting 15 minutes. Got home (took a whopping 3 minutes to get home) and both the pizza and fire sticks were VERY COLD. You know I probably would have just taken everything and not said anything if ANYONE in the restaurant would have said "Sorry about the delay" or "Hey, we know you had to wait how about a dessert on the house". No one said anything. Called the restaurant and talked to the manager. He did not seem to care. Pizza Hut in Forsyth is unbelieveably awful. If you want decent hot pizza you have to go to Macon or Slices in Barnesville. Also remember the Anvil Room is run by these characters so BEWARE. We will not be returning. read more

Possibly the best pizza in GA and the South. Home made dough, sauce, fresh moz. They have white pizza and pesto. There is every reason in the world to take your family here on the way to Hilton Head or Florida. Oh did I mention the home made apple pie, double chocolate mouse cake, and pralines! Just go there. Great food, delicious pizza. We were traveling with our kids on spring break and were so sick of bad chain restaurants. Jonah's was a great local find. Friendly staff, great homemade brick oven pizza, great selection. And a wonderful bakery and fair trade coffee. A gem among the Dairy Queens, Shoney's and Pizza Huts and other below average dining options. Great for dinner or lunch. Sandwiches on homemade bread, daily special soups too. One of only 2 restaurants that serves alcohol on the weekends. Live music on weekends too. read more

Ok, here's the skinny. I had the Italian beef with a side of Mac n cheese. The sandwich was delicious but extremely small. It's was a child size portion. Mac and cheese was sad, crunchy and old. Extremely overpriced food but there are minuscule restaurants in Forsyth. The hubby had a regular burger but he could have gone through the Hardee's drive through for a cheaper option. All in all it's an ok option if you don't want fast food. It's just so so and meh. read more

Very personable waitstaff, great breadsticks and pizza! My daughters had a calzone and the homemade pizza rolls and two normally picky eaters ate everything on their plates. We did order lemon bars and a praline bar for dessert but had to take them home because we were so full! read more

Tasty sandwiches and very passable salads. Very good bread. The stand-out today was an intensely flavored tomato soup. I think if you got that soup and a nice crispy grilled cheese, that would approach a perfect meal. Also the baked goods were lovely. Service was slightly lackadaisical. Delicious pizza (fresh + fresh + fresh), friendly staff, and superb poundcake! Good Lord I think about that cream cheese (or maybe it's sour cream) poundcake pretty often. This is definitely the best pizza joint in the Macon area. I'm so glad we found this little local spot. I like to swing by and pick up a pie whenever I'm traveling up 75 in route back to Atlanta! My wife and I just had dinner at Jonah's under the new management. We were delighted! The service was so much faster and more attentive than we had experienced in the past. The Forsythian Pizza was excellent as were the salads. We were in and out in forty minutes! This was my first time here and it was an ok experience. The pizza was pretty good! Service was fast. Only down side was the prices were high. An 8 inch pizza, drink, and side salad was $21. I will say I would come back if the opportunity presented itself. Overall good! read more

We called in a takeout order in our way south from Michigan to Florida at the end of a very long day. The pizza was not inexpensive, but it was delicious! Thin crust, fresh toppings, and herbs sprinkled on top. We were sad to learn that the cinnamon rolls were sold out, but the peanut butter bars are truly to die for. Three of us shared a 16" pizza and three bars, and ended up with breakfast too. Very friendly staff - looked like a fun place to eat, but we took ours back to the hotel. read more

Wish there was a 1/2 star available would have 3 1/2. Dough excellent pizza was good. I have never been a fan of toppings that fall off a pizza. I got the veggie pizza with white sauce and red mixed due to a server suggestion. It was a good idea because the white sauce was just garlic and olive oil I think very strong. My wife got the Greek salad. When I ordered I asked for a Greek dressing and was told that it came with balsamic vinegar which I thought was odd. The server was young and truly seemed to care about my dining experience but didn't have knowledge of beer/wine lists or what was available. I feel that with a few tweaks this place could be a 4-5 star pizza place. read more

Came here with the 2017 Cohort of Rivers to Reefs. We were seated immediately and introduced to our waitstaff. Our food was prepared and brought out promptly. Everything was hot, decent presentation, and INCREDIBLY tasty. Our drinks stayed full and when we were ready we had deserts brought out right on time. Every single request was met in a timely manner and with a friendly attitude. This is a great place to meet up with friends or grab a quick bite with friends. My husband and I enjoyed dining in their outdoor area last night. My Greek salad was perfect and our chicken wings scrumptious. The outdoor dining was great with the weather starting to warm up. The service was awesome. Even the owner came out and had a short conversation with us. This is a minor negative and really a good one to have, but possibly the waitress could not be so eager to clean away the plates and drinks. The food was delicious. We bought two different pizzas -- can't remember the names of the pizzas.. One had a tomatoes sauce and the other had a white sauce. Both were very good and I would order them again. The staff was remarkably pleasant and attentive. Our waitress, Chiara, was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely eat there again read more

They put a sign on the street corner and all over their windows and doors saying they would be open Monday-Saturday 3-8 and we get there at 3:20 and no one would answer the door or the phones. We go back at 3:50 and it's still the same thing. If you're going to say you're open maybe you should actually be open. Good service guys read more

This place is Amazing! My husband and I were on the way to Savannah, GA and stopped in here to eat dinner. We are so glad we stumbled onto this gem.
