We've been to this location three times now. The area badly needed an establishment such as Jonathan's. Two of three visits we went on Tues., when pizza is b1/get1. Always delicious, well topped, and hot. Just this last time, service was slow. Although we were there in an off hour (4:00p ish), the restaurant was quiet, so service should have been more attentive. We've had pizza, burgers and salads - all delicious - no complaints. This will be one of our local favorite places. read more

1st time I went to this place the service was good nice bar, but ordered 8" chicken and herb pizza thin crust and I should have sent back but I was hungry. The crust was a lot thicker than I wanted and even asked my server if it was a thin crust and she replied yes. I felt as if that was all my pizza was crust that I tried to eat around. I don't usually eat pizza due to the carbs because of type diabetes . But I was hopeful there would more topping than crust and I barely could even taste or see any chicken and what I tasted of chicken tasted like it was warmed over and had old taste to it . So I will probably not choose Johnathon's grill as a place to eat at again. It's not to say it looks like a nice bar but not a diabetic friendly place for me. read more

We've been coming here ever since it opened and always had good food and service, but tonight was the worst. Bar area was over run with a group (15) of which was vaping in the restaurant, LOUD, bumping into other customers and creating a non social distancing atmosphere. Management wouldn't even address the group. And the waiters/waitresses were catering to the group instead of taking care of the other customers. I walked in to place a takeout order, mainly because it's always hard to get someone on the phone during dinner rush hours. There were four young adults crowded behind the hostess stand. Crowded, as in just standing there staring. One of them came forward and asked if I wanted to be seated. I said all I needed to do was place a takeout order. She says to go to the bar. Still wearing my mask, I walk to the bar and it's packed tight together, no masks, little elbow room, and one bartender slowly pouring beers surrounded by customers. I waited a few minutes and then just left. They need better employees, why they would pay people to stand around and not take orders is beyond me. read more

I've been in the industry for years and I've never seen a brand new restaurant run this efficiently. We were quoted an hour on a Friday night at 6:15, got sat at 6:45 which probably means they taught their hostesses to quote longer wait times which is genius. Second, they had more than enough parking, even though people had to park against the side of some curbs, they had more than enough room to accommodate. There is a hotel right across the parking lot too so I'm sure that has a lot to do with the crowd. Our food came out in record time, AND tasted amazing. That it itself is amazing considering they've been open a little over a month. We will be back! My family and I tried this for an early supper Thursday night. We had the buffalo chicken dip- awesome! Our entrees came out quickly . My wife and I were in town to visit my son. Jonathan's Grille was right next to the hotel we stayed in. The four of us went to dinner there and we were all very happy with our meals. We had a ten minute drive home and the food remained hot. The red pepper pasta was delicious. It had just the right amount of spice and cream sauce. We visited there tonight with my family that we were wanting to have a relaxing enjoyable night. It was busy and being in the restaurant industry I understood that. We order appetizers and our food at the same time. Normal restaurants turn in apps first then wait till you are done and turn in main meal not our case. We received salads first which is a complete failure on their part. So it was salads and when the apps arrived we said please make sure we do not get our main meal till we have finished our appetizers and salads. Less than 5 minutes later yes our main meal arrived. We had apps, salad, and main meal all on the table that we did not get to enjoy in a timely manner before it got cold! I asked to see the manager took 10 minutes to get him there then I was told he rolled his eyes when he left our table! Shame on him! Let me say you may make it on your drink sales but you could be so much better if you had ppl trained and cared! Certain places do not have individuals who want or know how to perform and have the desire to know how to please customers and learn how that affects their tips and sales. Unfortunately Johnathan's makes it on their liquor bar sales not always on their restaurant service! I hear Mt Juliet is 100 times better. read more

My husband and I visited the restaurant one day last week. We've been there a couple other times and had a great experience the food is always delicious. Our visit last week was less than average can't even read it with the server Abby we had. She had no personality would not look at us looked away as taking our order like we were a bother to her never checked back to see how things were going we had to flag her down to get refills on drinks. Another table behind us kept wanting to know when they were going to get their drinks they sat there for a while waiting. While Abby was in the corner on the opposite side of us in the bar eating her other employees her other servers and partners were delivering her drinks delivering her food and pre-busing her tables. We like the restaurant we like the experiences we've had in the past we like the food but sadly the server was horrible. Has no personality does not deserve to be in a bar. Has the attitude if she's better than everybody else. And when she delivered our check and ran my credit card that was the only time that she came back to the table without us having to flag her down. Because she was looking for her tip that she did not get from us. I am a former server I love serving but I would never treat a customer the way she treated all hers. read more

This cause great confusion since the place was always packed and then I remembered that studies show that half the population are either super tasters whom are sensitive to taste and are very picky or non-tasters that have low receptor. So yes it is best to be average in something, too bad Jonathans cooks aren't at least average. Were talking bar food folks a little attention to detail and you can put out decent food. read more

I've been to every Jonathan's around Nashville, and to say the least, this is the best one yet! Cleanest one, friendliest staff, I visit this one and the Mt.juliet one, and the Bellevue one weekly. I've met so many nice people here, I'm a regular but I stay low on the radar. Parking at the other locations is ridiculous. I always seem to get a front row spot everytime I come to this location. And it's closer to home. The food is amazing! Beer happy hour is my favorite. And best of all.... they alwaysssss have my favorite beer here! (Landshark)... no other places carry this beer, even if they didn't carry it I would still come. Hopefully the owner sees this and knows that this location is 10/10. Sorry, this is a long one. I'd like to first start off by saying the food was really good and so were our waiter's. I can't remember his or hers name(he was training someone) but they were very friendly and made sure we were satisfied with everything. The food was great, we had no problem. But, from the get go as soon as we walked in we just got a bad vibe from everyone at the hostess desk. There were like 4 girls standing up there just all talking to each other and didn't look pleased that there were new customers and not one said Hello or asked how many people we had? I had to walk up to them and say we had 5 with a baby. At the end of dinner my grandmother happened to leave a planner(notebook) that she took out of her purse. I called Jonathan's and a woman answered. I asked if they had it, she specifically said "yes, we have it" I told her I'd come the next day and get it. It's the next day, and my fiancé goes in there to get it. There were two girls at the hostess desk, one that had been there the day before. He tells them what he's there for. And right away one of the girls say "oh we don't have that here" or something like "we don't have stuff like that here". He asked if they were even going to look for it because someone had told me yesterday that it was here. All they did was open up the hostess desk and act like they had no idea what he was saying. Supposedly the manager went to go look for it but he saw her helping out customers instead. It's like she completely ignored it. Eventually my fiancé just walked out because he was annoyed and tired of the girls looking at him like he had 3 heads. I walked in annoyed at this point, I said "Hi my fiancé just came in here asking about a planner or a notebook that my grandmother left here yesterday" One of the girls said "yeah my manager went to go look for it! I'll go see if she found it" she came back like 2 seconds later and said yeah it's not here. I specifically told her someone answered the phone yesterday and told me that they had it. All they did was open up the hostess desk (they did the same thing with my fiancé) and act like they had no idea what I was talking about. Long story short, I didn't walk out with the planner. It's just gone?? I get there's a lot of people who work in this restaurant, but they shouldn't have told me they had it when they didn't. I ate one and had to dispose of it as I turned them over they were all burnt to a black char. When they plated them someone took the time to put the Burnt end down. We liked the fajitas and Big Dip salsa and guacamole with chips. However, my wife and I tried to order a beer with our dinner and were refused because we refused to show an ID. We're 73 years old and demanding an ID from senior citizens seems a little more than ridiculous. At first the waitress said it was now a state law thay they had to card everyone. I told her that wasn't true but to just bring us water. The manager came and told us that even though it wasn't a law, it was store policy and without showing IDs she couldn't serve us. We said fine, but we wouldn't be back. Also, parking is not adequate for the store. Overall, it was a good experience but all this legalism is very frustrating.
